  • we have that on our book

  • Thanks for your good work! I posted a video response (if I did it right), which features another piece of music. I made it in 2008 and am just posting it on YouTube today.

  • Hey, all! I'm sorry if I offended anyone by setting Thurber's work to this music. James Thurber was a talented man of his day and his work still rings true to this day and I did not mean to taint his work with my musical interpretation of this piece of work. That aside, I do hope you enjoy the video anyway and appreciate the work of this truly phenomenal man. I also edited the description to include the title of the song used in this video for those curious.

  • nicely done. thanks for this.

  • WOW IM DOING THIS FOR MY SCHOOL PLAY TODAY

  • I wish they could have replayed this video as it appeared in the movie The War Between Men and Women. It was a brillant scene with Jack Lemmon. Please someone find it and get it on You Tube so others can enjoy. Also a lovely Marvin Hamlish score.

  • Brilliant!

  • This has always been one of my all time favorite short stories. I absolutely love the melancholy ending.

    Thanks for posting this!

  • The best lesson that's ever been put into cartoon form!

    I love it :)

  • I think the music fits well; it has intensity without being too dark.

  • Agreed =]

  • I was in this play before when I was in 3rd grade. I played three roles. 2 of them were soldiers and one was one of the Hill People that wanted to go to the Valleys. My first part as a soldier was to narrarate what happened after the war. My main role as different soldier when I played a Drummer Boy. In fact, the drummer boy was the man that befriended the woman. I was shocked I was given that role. Especially after founding out I was a "Drummer Boy"

  • BEST VIDEO EVER!! Wow! And the music is perfect to this! I would say better than from Requiem For Dream, I personally they should have used Pink Floyd that movie, it would have been awesome, anywho getting off topic. Have nice day lol.

  • This is my favorite book as a child. I just got to say that... the music....

it doesn't go with it. I hate it, absolutely. It was great in Requiem for a Dream. It was great in the trailor for Lord of the Rings.

    But for the Last Flower?

    Sorry--

  • I agree, the music doesn't paint the picture, it manipulates it in something that is not of such high standart as James Thurber's flower.

Still it's better posted like this then n ot posted at all... So Thank you very well!

  • who does this music? its amazing!

  • it's a soundtrack from "Requiem for a Dream"

  • Thank you. James Thurber is one of my favorite authors, and I hope more people get to see this before it's too late.

  • Wow, looks very familiar.

  • Fantastic

  • Wow!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! This is my favorite book!
