What an ass. Can't do anything but put on his own act to stroke his own ego. Stones were a sellout band that never did squat after Exile on Mainstreet. The one thing that ZZ holds in common with the Stones is, they both 'sold out'. ZZ Top less so for sure....but the Stones went from a great band to intolerable nearly overnight after Exile. You can go overboard with showbiz over substance in that game and the stones took that to the limit. There are two Rolling Stones. The latter sucks, bad.

I wonder if Keef remembers that an unknown ZZ Top opened 4-5 shows for the Stones in Honolulu in 1973. I was working in a Record Store in LA and their first LP had just dropped a week earlier. When I complimented them in the lobby they had no idea it was even released. Spent a few days driving 'em around and they gave me their passes to the post-show Stones parties because (I suspect) they were too modest to attend. Truly Good Ol' Boys who can still out blues any American band to this day!
