The simplest way to achieve the the Edge sound is switching to herdim blue pics using them side way with the dimples to create the chimmy sound.I saying that becouse Im not sure if your using herdims.I got some for 80 cent US.Continue your good work.Obrigado.Im half portuguese lol.thanks

@edge7799 I find the jim dunlop black 1.0mm raised graphic pics make a substantially better/truer early U2 sound, such as on Boy-October-War

What string gage do you use?Do you have the original pickups or they are cs69 or others?I have a 2008 model same has you all black Im trying to get as much info to try to make it has close to what the Edge has but appart from possibly having a custom bridge pickup but no specification on the brand all I can do for now is have the same strings and I put some lace sensors holy grails for a clearer more output but same vintage sound and the bridge has more output 11.5k when you buy a set of 3.

@edge7799 I use .11's. The pickups are original, this is a '77 Strat, so no point for me to get modern pickups that try to emulate vintage tone :)
