@randomchampion I'd be more concerned about the fuel system problem before upgrading. There are plenty of other cars that CAN beat Bmw. The only thing that the 335i' has got going for it is the quick spooling turbo's. When that system messes up, its a nightmare.
BMW dealt with that problem by agreeing to completely replace all faulty fuel pump/injector. And by nothing but porsche beats BMW, im talking about driving dynamics for the price you pay. Porsche costs a bit more but provides the "purest" driving experience.

yeah that is true... however with it being a convertible there was a lot of bracing to ensure that the chassis didn't flex during hard cornering... so it is still kinda of a fatty at roughly 1300kg IIRC... but the tuners have managed to strip, CF panels... take out non-racing parts (A/C etc.) and got it to around 1000kg...
check the ASM S2000 if you want an aerodynamic masterpiece!!

That's not exactly a slipping clutch. The '04+ S2000 has a clutch delay valve which forces the clutch to slip on hard shifts in order to reduce shock on the weak differential. [Good for daily driving, back for racing]

Depends which evo, the FQ-340 & FQ-400 would, but it wouldnt be easy. All the other evo's would get rinsed by the 335i.
The FQ-340 only has 5 lb-ft of torque more than the 335i.
Obviously the FQ-400 is no match.

I like the E92 m3 and 335i convertible. But the first s2k isn't that slow since it hung in there for a while. But like the guy said below, going fast in a straight line is kinda pointless. and 335i doesn't even come with a LSD for its high price tag.

s2000 dude - take out that clutch delay valve. You will be able to shift alot faster. Then it wont seem like your clutch is busted between shifts. (or sound like an auto lol)

For 2 liters at 120HP/PER LITER is simply incredible, and with the S2000 weighing in at a feather weight of 2700LBS, its one fast little bugger!!! Keep your Germany Machinery.. I'll take an S2k ANYDAY. (I'm a little impartial though, I own an 02' Ap1 :) )

That's not exactly a slipping clutch. The '04+ S2000 has a clutch delay valve which forces the clutch to slip on hard shifts in order to reduce shock on the weak differential. [Good for daily driving, back for racing]
Otherwise, S2000 probably would of won.

The torque on the 335i is just insane, my friend just got his dynoed and maxed hp/tq was 272.34(hp) and 275.75(tq) on a dynojet. I'm not sure if the 335i redlines @6500 but that when all that power just drops.

Not really chbrules, you're right in the fact that the 335i is luxury, but its twin turbo inline 6 so I wouldn't say it's not sporty. It's both i guess. Now I'm not sure what the S2k had but that car sounded pretty stock to me. But I already knew the 335i would win, just look at the stock dyno charts, that shit is insanely linear.
