  • estan locos, es in jutso que me suspendan la cuenta nada ams porque si

  • Oliver is a lovely<3 Well, wonderful film, good work. i cried when I looked this video :( ... I just hope the best for Oliver..and other. Take care, You are not alone.

  • oliver's a bit of a babe ;)

  • This actually kinda funny lol. I have OCD but not that extreme. But the part when the light switch pulled the gun out on him was funny lol

  • can you tell me if oliver has genuinely got ocd? its only that the latter half of the video confused me ,as to wether it was only a portrayal of the illness... i have ocd... and i am v.lonely because of it

  • @pahoboye hello, oliver is not diagnosed with ocd but we both understand the disorder and have obsessive tendencies. the video was made years ago as part of an art college thing so we researched it more in depth. the latter part is just meant to be creative visual representation. i'm sorry to hear that you suffer but there is of help available and and plenty of fellow sufferers on here that may be able to help you further. take care

  • I HEAR ZELDA MUSIC!!!!!!!

  • waww

  • poor kid i know how he feels he can go on medication to help it.

  • @Idespisechristians medication cannot help everything.... can it?

  • Great portrayal of people with OCD. I like portrayal of suffering. Wonderful representation of OCD sufferers. There is great help for it. This help can be found in several places. One such place is solutiontherapiesonline. -c-o-m. It offers a helpful self-therapy.

  • I love this from 6.00.

    Great video.

  • I use to have that. You don't have to deal with it anymore.

    Read my Testimony at fuentesevangelism.-c-o-m

  • That poor tortured soul, you can see it in his eyes that this is something that he feels has a hold of him, and will not let go. As though he's in a cell, held captive by his mind, his intrusive unwanted, uncontrollable thoughts, and urges. There's such a sense of being lost, and utter loneliness that just emanates from the poor boy. I hope he's still alive. Is there, real, lasting help for something like this?

  • its really horrible i was diagnosed at 17 ..its not bad sprirts dont mind that shit its something u cant help its not ur fault and every1 of us ahas a smal touch of ocd so people dont judge.. ocd is hard and breaks u down buh it makes u a stronger person =]

  • I got it for 5 years.

Nothing will happen to you or anybody else or anything else if you just stop ! :)

  • umm itś kinda hard to stop...tscha

  • I had ocd for a long time, so believe me that your obsession doesn't hold any powers other than its destroying your daily life. Nothing will happen if you resist if you say no. You may feel bad when you are not doing what your ocd dictates but its just temporary. Dont tell me you cant resist! I know you CAN! :)

  • Also if anyone wants to talk about OCD feel free to send me a message. I really want to help!

  • hi, i need help. i surfing on the net a lot about ocd.i had for the last 7 years and still now wanted to defeat it.

  • what piano piece is this?

  • This guy is sooooo sweet! <3

  • If on medication don't skip them for long time. If want to escape pills do it gradually, take 1/10 less every day, chop away a part of the pill.

  • loanromania09,

Leading OCD sufferers to believe that its 'bad spirits' causing their intense despair and anxiety only serves to create more anxiety-provoking rituals. Its not like after the 40 days all their anxiety will just magically disappear. I have just recently gotten over my OCD after weekly cognitive therapy sessions and ssri medications. What you are doing is not only misleading sufferers of OCD who are looking for answers, but is also potentially worsening their obsessions.

  • @IoanRomania09 I myself am a Christian, and believe in God and Jesus Christ. However, that has got to be some of the worst advice I've ever heard in my life. OCD symptoms are caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, not bad spirits possessing oneself. I should know, I've suffered all my life and was diagnosed in 2nd grade. I'm currently 14 and still believe that I'm living a fuller life than a lot of people who don't have OCD.

  • more full* see what happens when you spell everything perfectly even in a colloquial context?

  • hey...can someone help me out here? what's the title of the background music?

  • Gymnopedie no. 1 by Erik Satie

  • Thanks. Appreciate it.

  • How could you say you're "OCD" about something? You're using it as an adjective like everyone else who thinks they have it. It's a noun! You can't be Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. You clearly don't know anything about it. It's like saying I am AIDS or I am ADHD. That doesn't make any sense! And you spelt ridiculous wrong.

  • what the hell are u talking about? people say it like that all the time. people dont actually stretch out the letters, OCD is different cuz i sometimes hear people say "god ur so OCD, knock it off".

oh and btw look in the related videos >

theres a video called "whats it like to be OCD", well? and AIDS might not make sense but ADHD could possibly make sense like an adjective.

  • Your fears are rational compared to those with someone who has OCD.

OCD has become a buzzword ever since everyone has heard about it. Look it up in the dictionary, it's a noun. OCD isn't synonymous with being anal about things, OCD is a psychological disorder that intrudes every single part of your life. Incorrect usage like "god you're so OCD about this" is what's nullifying its severity.

  • Right, you get angry when your disks are scratched, but do you think your friends are going to be killed because of it? Are you afraid your going to get meningitis from not saving your game? And furthermore, are you compelled to do rituals, like holding your breath every five minutes to avoid the power going out when you play?

OCD is much more severe, irrational, and debilitating. It never goes away, just waxes and wanes with other stresses in your life.

  • well ok i guess its a noun, but people use it today differentley and i cant change that, thats just what people say.

and i dont know how in research u are with OCD but how much u know about it but i think it has a scale. it cant be JUST severe symptoms. sure people are anal, but some can be really over anal, but not like ritual-like about things.

believe me. i know me the best and i do know that i have mild OCD.

  • Thanks for seeing my reasoning-- and you are right, it does have a scale. I hope it doesn't run your life like it runs mine.

  • me neither. but im only young now.

  • the pic of a guy is the guy dressed as the light switch. he is just trying to show how the ocd starts. its starts off as a little flash of a thought, then it gets worse until that is all he can see and feel.

  • There is a picture of a guy between 5:49 and 5:50 in the bottom-right corner, and I have tried 100 times and can't get it pause do I can see who/what he is, it is driving me CRAZY and GIVING me OCD!!! WHY WOULD THEY PUT THAT ON THE FRAME???!!!

  • Why the hell are you giving out a message that the only way to stop ocd is to kill yourself?!! If you kill your self the ocd has won!! You should have made the ending state THAT instead of the ending you chose.

  • My OCD is so hard to cope with sometimes. every night before i go to bed i check the stove, and make sure the knobs of the stoves are all closed. i have to feel if my fridge door is closed, and if it doesn't feel right i start over again. same thing with lightswitches. i have to count to 10 and tap on the lightswitch, and if it doesn't feel right, i restart until i can go to bed. i get really mad sometimes because it takes long and i start biting my fingers. this causes me to get panic attacks

  • Dude I had those rituals and were impossible not to do, I thought something bad was going to happen If I did not make them. One day I said, "fuck this shiit" let it happen, I don't care anymore for bad things to happen, and the OCD went away. Bad things did not happen.

It's like pulling a rope... let go that rope, stop struggling

  • are you sure you had real ocd?

because i do have it, and its not that easy to stop.

  • TRUST ME it was as real as it could get... I seriously thought it was IMPOSSIBLE not to do those rituals. I don´t remember exactly how I got rid of them but I can tell you one thing, the more you keep doing those rituals the stronger they will get, and more rituals you will develop. Dont use antidepressants, the lack of serotonin in the brain is not the cause of OCD, it is the result of OCD.I started giving those emotions a color, shape, size, temperature and then making them explode, mentally

  • I have ocd. its not as bad as other people have it tho. i have obsessive thoughts and i'm unreasonably orderly. i have other symptoms too but still i feel like i have no room to complain. =(

  • if i touch something germy i can like feel it on my hands sometimes washing them once isn't enough

  • Drives you crazy huh.

  • I agree to what your saying, it's like you can feel that dirty particle on your hands even after washing it loads of times.

  • my boyfriend has ocd too and its really sad to see him like going through hell in all these little situations of everday life which are so normal for us and sooo hard for him to do.this is all new for me and i sometimes dont know how to handle it,because i feel so useless, because theres nothing i can do to make things easier for him.if there is someone out there who has it(or a partner) it would be so nice,if you would contact me,i need someone who can give me advice and tipps thx

  • I have it, so feel free to message me and ask me any questions:)

  • Unfortunately, I've had it from as long as I can remember.

  • I have been going through OCD for about since I was about 4 years old. And what my parents did was make me a thermometer except. she put a 1-10 onto it 1 meaning easiest thing 10 meaning I can't do this. Example: Lets say he needs to take a shower take his temperture if hes a 10 tell him to wait about 5 minutes and once 5 minutes is done tell him to try another 5. Sooner or later it will get lower and lower. and sooner or later when it comes for him to really take a shower he will be a 1.

  • thanks very much, seems like a really good tipp

  • Re-assure him that you don't care he has it. A lot of people try to keep it secret because they think you might look down on it.

  • I do the light switch thing! :S

  • Don't pretend to know what this feels like. It might not seem like a big deal to you, but the feeling of anxiety is so incredibly overwhelming, it can make you want to commit suicide.

  • @forest556 yeh it does make you want to commit suicide...it horrible..

  • I have OCD, its hell, its like you have to check the doors locked, if ur hands arn't washed its like have ur hands cut off....if u don't make sure the switch is turned properly off it feels wrong and u have this like cloud haning over u, its hard to explain, i feel insane :/

  • @Elltrixer I've tried to hide it my entire life...My parents never caught on and my father still doesn't know. I am 21 now and I have managed to suppress some of the compulsions but it seems to rear it's head most when I'm stressed. I used to think I was just crazy and I felt like a walking disease...This sound ridiculous, but I've only just discovered that there were others like me 2 years ago. You're not crazy...We're not crazy...We just...Function differently. -James S.-

  • I know how you feel...

  • LOL funny where the light switch is chasing him XD

  • wow this is a video i totally understand id love to chat with u about this

  • the beggining wasweet

  • I feel your pain!

  • i love it

  • Comment removed

  • It sounds like your from Yorkshire Oliver, we'll have to get the Leeds boss on our OCD and get some goals scored yeh lol but honestly don't let it get to you that bad, its not worth it. You work to positiveness in your life, I live with OCD but go about my life and just think well so what, i've got this but its the least thing thats going to change me as a real person, the person I am and what I strive to be.

  • gawd, don't get all upset "daewon"....go back to wanking over your 'favourites' of girls in bikinis if you need cheering up...

  • ITS NOT THAT EASY

  • TO ALL U GUYS THAT SUFFER OCD. DONT WORRY BROTHER OR SISTERS. YOUR NOT ALONE. I WOULD ALLWAYS B SAD BY THINKING AND KNOWING THAT NO ONE WOULD UNDERSTAND ME AND I ALSO HAD PANIC ATTACKS WORSE THAN U WILL THINK I DONT WANT TO GIVE EXAMPLES B CUZ PPLE WITH OCD CAN GET LIKE CONTAMINATED BECAUSE PPLE WITH OCD ARE VERY SENSETIVE AND WEAK. • I have ocd and it feels like im in a verry verry small box and i cant breath or move

  • i have OCD and its difficult to deal with.

  • Respect to you guys, for actually making this film and to Oliver for being so brave to cope with OCD. My Brother suffers from serious OCD, and all OCD sufferers know that it doesn't just effect you, it effects the people around you, who care about you too. could someone message me about this please, i would like someone to talk to :)

  • i have ocd its hard at times

  • wow, oilver did a great job! very nice way of showing people what its like for a few mins. of having OCD.

  • wow

  • this video is so awsome, it shows exactly what its like, A+ guys!

  • SOMETIME ODC GOES UP TO THE POINT WHEN UR HEAD IS CONFUSED YOU DONT KNOW WHT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING TO UR SELF N U FEEL LIKE UR HEAD IS PUMPING UP LIKE ITS GOING TO EXLPOAD. I VE BEEN SUFFERING OCD FOR 3 YEARS ALLREADY. NOW IT CAN MESS U UP WHN U MIX THE RELIGION INTO WITH OCD. SUCH AS PRAYING LIKE 5 TIMES EVERYDAY. HAHA IF U HAVE OCD U KNOW WHT THE FUCK IM TALKING ABOUT. fUCK OCD.

  • dude, I know exactly what you mean.

  • init.. i fuckin hate havin ocd.

  • totally agree bro

  • It does gat better mate,,,I was you then I'm 43 now .....

  • Wow Erik Satie for music. Perfect.

  • I have had OCD for 5 years and not until now have I ever been able to explain it to my friends. Thank you for this.

  • This film helps me whenever I'm feeling terrible because of my ocd.. it re-iterates that It's not me, it's the ocd driving me completely bonkers.

  • Wow, this really opens my mind. I think I might have slight OCD. Everytime I click on something, I feel the need to click it again and again. I also can't control myself when I use one of those clicky pens. Someone has to slap it off me because I just can't stop clicking it.

  • I just discovered that I have probably had a slight case of ocd for the last twenty year, However,it hasn't really affected my life as badly as it is now. I don't have the symptoms of compulsive handwashing, just weird obsessions and disturbing thoughts. This video is very helpful, and sums up my feelings.

  • i dint watch all the film ignore me. btw i have ocd not like this tho i wash my hands all the time and i have 2 have things kept in order im a clean freak

  • at 5.40 u can c a man in a white box, bottom right u have 2 pause it to c it blink n u wont c

  • i have ocd. i need to kill animals to feel better. when i see something out of place i have to organize it, i have to touch 300 things a minute, my brain wont let me continue on and on , i need to do it to know i did it, my ocd may not be as bad as some people. but i always need to reach out and strangle a cat or butcher dogs, i eat out animals, i to wash my hands. 200 times a day. i have the urge to vacuum 100 times a night, i think of things but always have to think of the negatives suicide?

  • zoloaft is the best medication meds help it slows down the miss lfares and controlls it ur living hell will turn to a liveing heven there are no side effects but its very uncommon to i have OCD it helps a hell lot more.

  • Very good. I have ocd, I like the way you show the persistantness (if thats a word)of the unwanted thought

  • I too have OCD though I suffer with 'Pure O' OCD which can also make life a living hell. Some days I worry myself to tears over continuous thoughts my logical mind knows to be false but your brain won't let go of the thought. The anxiety caused is really hard to handle. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Hang in there Oliver, I know you're a good person.

  • I have OCD since i was 16(now 34), i discovered not so long ago that the name of my curse is OCD, at least i realized i was not alone with that.

I'm convinced to control my self, but in fact i'm a SLAVE of my mind, i'm scared to go on meds, really agaist.

I hide my compulsions in front of stranger, sometime it desappears for months but it always comes back.

    Lately, is driving me crazy..

  • ocd is a personal choice though, you dont have to do these rituals they're pointless!i had ocd for years and didnt realise how bad i was until one of my friends pointed it out to me, i stopped everything immediately.whenever you feel like doing a ritual just stop and think "no, im not gonna do this pointless crap" and walk away from it.

  • I'm glad you have an easy time overcomming it, but for most people, like me, its not that simple.

  • At it's worst it's an unending nightmare for anyone unfortunate to suffer with it. BUT THANK GOD IT CAN BE STOPPED.

OCD Centre's in London and New York run by the genius that is India Haylor, endless literatute like Brain Lock by Dr.Jeffrey Schwartz and many others all offer pretty consistant advice on how to beat this curse.

  • But most importantly I wanna say that this b*stard condition is NOT a quirk/idiosyncracy or (worse) some flippin fad which is just a bit of a giggle compared with the real problems like depression...etc etc

    Is it fuck.

  • Hi.. Yeah sorry to follow the precedent but I too have got that torturing, terrorising bully known as OCD. And christ I have had to say that so many times-whether it be to people trying to help, people trying to understand or people who are are just plain bemused. I really don't have any idea whatsoever how anyone's supposed to begin to discuss such a remorslessly comlicated/multi-faceted condition such as OCD in such a small little soundbite-type space as that which we have here. .

  • i have ocd. and because i have it i usually get nervous when im about to go to school or something.

  • any one can tell me whats the medication

  • Hi, i also have OCD, OCB, and been also diagnoised with Tourretes syndrome. I know how it feels. I would like to talk with anyone who has the same difficultys as me. Thanks. x

  • I have OCD and it sucks!!! i don't do things and rituals that i know are ridiculous but i can't stop them, please go to the doctor, he will understand you!

  • become ocd about God and deep love. truly..this works for me.

  • Yes hold on Very good Video I have OCD Im bieng treated w/ medication before bein treated i was sucidal

    God Bless

  • comment

  • Why did you stick a subtle image of a guy in a box at 05:40?

  • to show the ocd character beginning to affect his thinking and daily routine. it is to represent the disorder gradually popping into his head.

  • hey sorry haha i commented before the video was done so i understood right after i commented. lol

  • Great Vid!! Dan, very cute!

  • I too have OCD. It's interesting to see the very different compulsions of other sufferers of OCD. I also think it is interesting that although everyone's compulsions are different, handwashing seems to be common across the board. -Good luck Oliver!

  • OLIVER IS FCKN SEXY .

  • i agree

  • me too

  • Excellent film guys!

  • i love this film.

  • I too have OCD and over the years with my struggle with such a condition it has some what evolved with every step I take towards full freedom of this condition. It no longer radiates itself into physical compulsions, but instead manifests itself into ones being and subconscious which can be extremely destructive. Through appreciation of this condition you can harness its' untold abilities which I am currently undergoing with success. I like to refer to this entity as my dark passenger.

  • Im starting to get scared that I have OCD :(

I recently went to the doctor about nerve problems, and also I feel the need to keep checking all the plugs are off in my room before I go out, just incase something sets on fire.

  • i am really freaked out too i used to think if i dont play only major chords on my guitar people would die and i like to walk count and stuff in a certain order there is a ocd quiz on google try it i did it sais i have to talk to my gp but i am scared about that

  • i am really freaked out too i used to think if i dont play only major chords on my guitar people would die and i like to walk count and stuff in a certain order there is a ocd quiz on google try it i did it sais i have to talk to my gp but i am scared about that

  • Well done...truly depicts how intense the thoughts and feelings can be.

  • that was really goooooood, an im so glad that thers no litle nobheads on the comments givin it 'emo'

if thers is any one who is tempted to put that, just think 1st, read this, and then think, cuz ocd is a seriouse thing, then go and slate sumone else's video u little nobber

  • everynight i HAVE to take a shower in less than 7 min, and kiss my hands twice before i go to bed. if i dont i get a empty feeling that never goes away

  • That was a brilliant way of showing what it is like to have OCD. Well done.

  • I can relate to this soooooooooooooo much, Stick in there Oliver, I've had it since I was 5, I'm now 29, I had to change my job as it made the OCD worse due to responsibility i had and I had to check everything over and over again to ensure everything was done correctly. I'm now getting the help I need and work has given me great support, I hope I've turned the corner. Stick with it, I've had the stupid thoughts to, be strong,

  • hey glad ur getting help :) i get the responsibility stuff too

  • Cheers for your reply, its just horrible the feelings and if there is an uncertainty man it turns into a nightmare. The damn "what-if" factor. Hope things are getting better for you to my friend, take care, K

  • I have had ocd since i was 5 or 6 and im now 14

  • i have OCD with tourettes syndrome.i used to wash my hands a lot, too.

  • One of the best things about youtube is exemplified by this video.

I don't suffer with OCD. By watching this, though, my empathy is tuned to better understand other people.

Most importantly, OCD people can speak to each other here and to we "normals". It's good to know that we're all human and humane.

If the ignorant step in and step on toes, correct them gently. But I don't see many of them here in this commentary.

Thanks go to Dan for making youtube a better place.

  • hey, i know what you mean by "normals" and im not complaining cos in a sense ur right, just be careful what you say, there are some assholes would rip you to pieces for that.

glad you arent narrowmindedly seeing OCD in its popular sulture form, its nice to see people who take an interest in the real thing.

  • that's exactly what it feels like. Only mine is obsessing about harming myself or loved ones. Something I would certainly never do.

  • i feel your pain ive had it since i was about 10 im now 13

  • i had a bad one in high school, id have to go back to my locker like 2-5 times to double, tripple, etc check that it was locked.. now i do that with house doors.. and light switches i flick on and off a few times in a row.. and getting ready in the morning for things.. crist that takes 1-2 hours after a shower. im late for everyting mostly.. ah but its fun to laugh at..

  • thats exactly how i feel. i hate it. touching my nose when a color stands out to me. passing signs and having to scrunch my toes. shaking my head side to side when my ears ring. counting the stairs i go up even when i already know how many there are...i hate ocd. it sucks even when i eat popcorn. i have to go counter clockwise around the edge and grab pieces from there i can never grab from the middle or it bugs me. i HATE odd numbers...i hate ocd.

  • i feel your pain i have OCD for nearly 2 years now.

  • being paranoid about people video taping me walking outside, is that being paranoid or is it ocd. i also think the world is after me.

  • omg awson video, ur really tallented, gr8 ideas, loved it

  • that was incredible

  • that's sad...

  • Find Anxiety Singles on AnxietySingles, com!

  • This actually is an amazing representation of what it would feel like. I love it, though the ending is sad.

  • what the heck is up with the guy dressed up in that white box that flashes on and off?

  • I have had OCD since the age of 10, I'm 25 now. My OCD is obsessive and not compulsive, but just as painful - in the sense that I think nightmarish thoughts and worry about things no one should ever have to worry about - I have wasted a great part of my life crawled up in a little ball fearing for my sanity. This movie, although humorous at certain points speaks a world of truth to me and anyone with OCD. The highs, the lows, the drugs and the thoughts of suicide. GREAT MOVIE!

  • I didn't know that the lightswitch is allso ocd.

It's like to make sorrow the whole day in your head.

OCD isn't funny! God bless you!

  • Very good I like the Fight Club style ending.

  • yeah the ending is fight club-esque.

  • Wow, that's pretty reassuring... =)

That sounds similar to my compulsions and obsessions too.. u_u

    Hehe.. you're British.. aweosome. n_n

  • This is kind of funny, however speaks truth. Man the light switch thing is annoying due to the fact at a certain point you start smelling burnt plastic. So far I've been late to and failed many classes due to the fear that getting something out will trigger it.
