It's called a sure vend. It's for machines that like to hold on to ur product. When the first one falls it breaks a laser eye and tells the coil to stop turning. Who every installed installed to low, so by the time the first breaks the sight the other coils out to much and he shacks the machine to drop it. Better to lose a dollar in sales then have a lawsuit for a machine falling in someone.

Oh it does the same with some machines in our school. But, you have to be lucky enough to have the product stuck at the first try, then it lets you choose again a product (sometimes not the same, whose rail is considered a failed)
