I understand and acknowledge the fact that we have the prostitution problem but with this kind of video, with corruption & poverty problem in the country, and most of all without strong-willed to make things better, it will take years to hopefully get rid of this problem.
Sorry for my lack of responses here. I posted the comments a year ago and been using different e-mail so I was pretty much out of touch with my youtube's notification. Anyway, I respect all your feedback and just want to let anyone who watched the video or heard about Thailand realize that there is more than the prostitution industry there. It's a land full of culture and traditions which is quite sad that those are probably not the frist thing people think about Thailand.
@Verradonairun And I not give a fuck about silly thing like this, Use my time in the toilet is much be batter than sit and answer SMART guy like YOU!!
For those who said that Thai Government promotes sex, it's not true. People who promotes sex in Thailand is the foreigners' cheap tour companies, and the selfish greedy local low-class tour agency. Thai Government and majority of Thai people promote their unique culture, traditions, and Thai food.
Sorry for the fews posts here but youtube won't let me post the whole thing in one time.
@jomjun Not exactly true. Thai visa laws are biased against family men and young people in favor of old single men with big pensions who are exactly the type most likely to be long term sexpats and never integrate into society. Thai business and work laws also discourage anyone but sexpats from settling in Thailand.
As more middle class Thais travel abroad they will get tired of being the butt of jokes and Thailand's reputation. I predict Thailand will start cracking down on the open sex trade in the near future. Remember Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong and many other Asian cities used to be known for the sex trade and aren't anymore. Prostitution still exists in those places but is more contained away from everyday life.
@MLamai I wouldn't marry one and hand over my life savings after a week but I'm not so smart as you people from Euuuuurrrrrrrrrope ya. Seig Heil Hans.
I will never agree to a marriage without love. Even if that person is a millionaire, I can not spend the rest of my life living with strangers, or maybe I'm stupid.
@GreenMountains1 Legal prostitution is well and thriving in Singapore and it's still pretty famous for it, so I think you're off on that one. I think prostitution is contained in Thailand, it's just whole cities sometimes instead of districts.
@SuperBukowski I don’t get your point. Thailand is not Singapore. Prostitution is illegal but widely practiced due to corruption. A feudal system with no rule of law, economic opportunity or social mobility for the vast majority who are viewed as subhuman animals by the upper classes. The only social mobility is through groveling and hoping for a wealth benefactor. Singapore is 1st world w/ large educated middle class.s. It is not known as the “whore house of the world” like Thailand.
@GreenMountains1 Dude, my point is simple, you said Singapore is no longer known for the sex trade and I just simply disagree because from my experience it's in the top 5 sex trade destinations because the sex trade is so supported and organized there. That's all.
@SuperBukowski Singapore, like many places, has a sex trade but I disagree that is in most people's minds around the world when they think of Singapore. (Don't call me Dude, Dude)
@jomjun That is dumb. 99% of foreign tourist (excluding the Chinese) come as independent travelers not on tours. And when it comes to greedy low class tours, everyone I have seen was Thai owned. Foreigner owned companies provide superior service. You are a typical racist Thai...blame the poor, blame the foreigners. Never examine yourself.
Foreigners account for a fraction of the prostitution industry in Thailand. It's quite usual for Thai men to visit brothels. Only difference is the foreign brothels are out in the open.
@jomjun let me ask you; ever been to patpong, sukhumvit, ratchada? foreign orientated prostitution accounts for less then 10% in just bkk alone. there is no real 'independent' government that function by itself. police,government,army,institutions,etc...they cant be seperated from each other. you will see how much all of this affects daily life in relation to what you call 'prostitution'. so dont play that card. leave the food, culture, etc out of it. its beaturiful yes. but dont be romantic.
For those of you who are complaining about Thai women like "darklightmatter", please look at yourself and how you met the girls. What do you expect from a human trafficking agency? An advertising? Do you really expect someone decent? I don't think so. I think you should blame yourself for your own stupidity. ...
I know people who's from a "poor" family, fought their way to get a scholarship and got in to the world's top schools/universities. My friends who's married or dating Americans/Europeans know their partners from school or work place, and they are happy in heir relationship. ...
Everybody has choice to live, but not everyone agrees with how one wants to live their life. Sadly this is how they choose to live.
I just have to say this. After reading most of the comments on this so called "documentary", it is sad to see that many people still have bad perception about Thai women, or just think about Thai women as one of those "bar girls". I admit the fact that they do exist but not all or majority of Thai women are fit in that category. ...
As I am a farang woman with a Thai man I am asking myself if this also could be a good business in the opposite way in my home country: for the after mid-fifty, double divorced (often) overweight farang women who noone want anymore I ship young thai men over. Then the lady can support his gamble, drinking and buy motorbikes and pick up trucks for his friends at home..... good idea?? I think I would not make a lot of money.
DO not judge others' feelings. they(in Thai-foreign marriages) might stay longer they your parents have done. We all married to our partners for at least one reason. Maybe it is the big body part, the big wallet or car, or just simply because this person makes feel good.
One piece of advice: Read 'Private Dancer' by Stephen Leather. It is available to read free online too. It explains the kind of people you are getting involved with. Most Thais themselves would run a mile from these people. Foreigners date Thai women most Thai men wouldn't touch with a dead man's cock. Be warned.
it would be nice to here from the couple them selves to see how they are getting on, as to darklightmatter's comment i married a english girl from leeds in my own country and she tried to take me for every thing i had she lost by the way and got remarried and did take the next guy for all he had but the point is no matter where you go in the world there are bad people doing bad things you cant tar every one with the same brush, some you win some you lose
I married a Thai-Bride called Phikunthong also known as Som or Sompreaw, through a very stupid agency called 'thai-the-knot-intro*com'
She only wanted a British Passport and divorce money. She is a very manipulative lying bitch like most Thai prostitutes. I was told by her friends that she was a bar-girl who is pretending to be educated. There are many women like this in Thailand so beware. She is a gold-digger living in South Wales and looking for her next victim. She is a waste of time.
i agree with your comment of course they dont. but this is not the case with all thai and farang couples. not all thai girls are shipped in by their relatives, ordered on the internet or formely bar girls in pattaya and such places
not picking an argument here 'notanidiot' but just out of curiosity have you got something against thai women? against bringing them into our countries or have you learned the hard way and been ripped off yourself?

Luckily not all fifties are fat smoking drinking and gambling..
We not all fit the same stereotype just like the Thai ladies are not all the same.
I ask friends the same thing many times just to open their eyes
