That is the reason why these songs may seem to be in the "entertainment" side, because the artists want to capture the audience of non-believers. If it's gonna help non-believers meet Christ for the first time, well I'll be using entertainment to reach out to them, as long as this form of entertainment be submitted first to Him and be blessed by God.
It may also be part of God's calling for you, to be a singer to sing songs about God, to be a dancer to gracefully interpret his love.
ok to answer the question none of you are answering, the name of the song and original artist is I'll always love you by phil wickham. and this is a better rendition IMHO than the original.
yes it is entertaining because it appealed to me and, surprisingly it has a great message about hope and love for God.
worship is about glorifying God and God alone in spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:24).....if that's what this is...then I know our God loved it because that's what he wants. Only God knows the hearts of those leading the crowd into worship and those that are in the crowd. At the end of the day, we all need to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Phillipians 2:12) because the day is coming very soon when only those in our age that truly accepted Christ will be in God's presence...
Man it really bothers me when people critique worship. Worship is our own creative intimate way of spending time with the creator of the universe. hints creator (creative). I believe God really enjoys it when we want to do something special and out of the ordinary. Sometimes us as Christians get so caught up on criticizing others ways of worship, because we are so empty and dry. I guess if we took time to just think outside the box. Not all the time, but don't limit yourselves in worship.
Wow, Reading the comments here are discouraging! I'm not seeing any scriptural basis for any of these criticisms. I believe that Worship is a state of mind and heart. However you respond to the moments God has put you in.The goal should be bringing people to Christ! those who don't know Him will respond to creativity and some level of professional entertainment. How Worshipful are you with your distracting hate? I guess, because Job cried and Jesus Died we can't be Joyful while fellowshiping.
Psalm 100:2 says this... Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
We are all created to worship God, but some chose to worship other things such as sports or money or sex or drugs. Regardless of that we are created to worship and to worship our creator. When you worship a college football team don't you sing their fight song. Yes everyone worships the Lord differently, but do not say one is above the other or that this is wrong. God changes lives through music.
@davidgage89 God changes lives through His word and the Holy Spirit. Worship should be theological, Word centered ,God exhalting, God honoring. There is no room for me in there, and definately not this entertainment.
@joeforHistruth Ok i getcha, I'm not trying to start an argument i was just wondering what you might be getting at, personally I think it is worship, I see it as people using the talents and gifts that God gave them, and being a bit creative with it.
@soccergurl174 Ask Job if praising GOD was entertaining when he shaved his head and bowed low and worshiped God after losing everything including his children in one day.Ask Jesus if worshiping God was entertaining when HE offered the ultimate act of worship in giving His life for us?Jesus DID NOT DIE SO THAT WE CAN BE ENTERTAINED!
I was there when they did that. It was pretty intense and really creative. If they continue on and expand that concept and idea, they could make something really powerful.

Yes the church needs entertainment because Gods word isn't good enough.
I went to the web site, they boasted of over 11,000 saved, I would like to hear the salvation message.
joeforHistruth 11 months ago
@joeforHistruth entertainment? you mean WORSHIP?
jrjrkz3453 10 months ago
@jrjrkz3453 No I mean entertainment. The modern church can't take real worship, they have to be entertained so they don't go somewhere else.
This is not worship.

@joeforHistruth Who are we to determine what is and isn't worship? Different people worship in different ways,
JRNicholson27794 9 months ago
@JRNicholson27794 We are to worship how God says...in spirit and truth.
