@Jrnr601 a lamp will do. Mushrooms only need the light in order to know which direction to grow. You don't want them to rely on the gravitational pull, that can cause them to grow down or in a very strange way :P

hei guys, my growbox arrived but the box was broken, so i had to put the substrate in another box. as the substrate was fully colonised already there shouldnt be problems of contamination right??

@aandrebs90 lol :) you try that and besides you should contact azarius. theyd send you a new box. guaranteed. they do anythign for customer happiness. so try and grow that brick and get a new one. jus send a pic of the broken box and demand a new one

i'm making mushrooms like you did, but following the instructions on growbox.com i have to put something like 0.5 liters water inside the bag and put the box in.

now are passed 9 days and there are no mushrooms on the box.

@hawkd68 some stores say yes, so say no, but I think it's better to do so, so there is more humidity and the soil wouldn't dry out.

In my case I didn't know I also had to put water in the box for 12 hours. So I only got like a 150 grams total yield.

@thetwocrazed you can get shrooms free by just looking around on the ground. Not all shrooms grow on cow shit. The catch is that you should get studying on how do identify a magic mushroom so that you don't end up killing yourself with a toxic look-alike. But it's all worth it in the end.

If you plan to consume them start with a low dose (1g dried, 10g wet).

This is my tip especially to persons who are not very confident, rather shy.

My body weight is 80kg, I'm male and 15g wet was a critical value for me, there's no way out and you have to face hallucinations until everything is out of your body.

Never ever start with higher doses, dangerous. Starts very funny but if you think "ok, it's enough now" and want to get out of this situation ... not good :)

Hi!!! I´m from Spain and I bought 6 micelium boxes (5 Cambodians and 1 Mazapatec). After remove the lid, i threw that to the trash. My problem is that I don´t know if the white strip of the lid is important for the grow of the mushrooms, because it´s don´t so i can refill the boxes with water and close them with plastic paper, for the next flushes. Thanks a lot!!!

@Frankulo do u realize how many u can get from that much! i got a qp out of one box. but the way in the video sucks. u need to break up the mycelium n put large pieces on sterile substrate in a 3-4 foor box with sterile substrate. youll get a few oz. when it stops producing. throw it outside in a humid shady area on some sterile soil from the store n u will get another flush. i lived in spain and ur summers will be good weather to so this.

Oh, and if you decide to just buy some mushrooms, don't eat them in Amsterdam! French people have the tendency to jump from briges when they have eaten magic mushrooms. Actually that is really one of the main reasons it has been prohibited in The Netherlands.

at 1:47 you'll notice the square on the bag. that is a filter patch that allows for proper air exchange. I imagine that it also aids in preventing contamination. i guess the vid should point that out next time

I'm sorry man, I'm no expert on this either, but no it's not just soil. There is mycelium in there. Mycelium is the base of the shroom network. The subject goes very deep and is insanely interesting stuff man.. Some google work can help you out for sure.

@enjoiskateing: If you're still interested in spores check out fsre(dot)nl. Just go to "order" and follow the steps (you can replace the Euro with a 2$ bill). Oh, and remember to click the "strains" tab to see what's available.

I know many people who have had a positive experience with this site, and all you really pay for is the shipping. They also ask that you send some spores back from the shrooms you've grown, but it's not a big deal if you forget to.
