It is not. Everyone proclaims the benefits the poor "receive" without considering what happens when they get a cost of living increase; the poor do not get to keep it - it's lost back to the state (sometimes in triplicate) leaving the poor with even less to deal with inflation.

proof that you can't always believe a pastor.

just because a pastor says it's true doesn't make it so. This is why, before all else, you must not only find evidence, you must look at your own self. To see if it's truly true, and not through rose tinted glasses.

This is why i think Science and the idea of figuring out the world around us with evidence does a far better praising this mighty world, god made or not, than saying 6 24 hour days when a "day" was not yet conceived.
