  • Brenda Wood worked for WAGA from 1988-1997. She now works at rival WXIA. Before arriving in Atlanta, Wood was anchoring the news for WMC-TV in Memphis.

  • @PokeyBessie Well, her contract was up with WAGA in 1997 and she was being courted by WSB & WXIA in Atlanta. WAGA was once CBS and by 97 WAGA became FOX 5 owned & operated by the network, and she had issues with FOX's lack of news & plus FOX was a network that played tabloid news, before the current state of today's FOX NEWS, and in Sept 1997 she was anchoring on 11ALIVE NEWS and is currently there and a slew of WAGA alum is on WXIA; Paul Ossmann, Jeff Hullinger, Doug Richards
