The US Code, Title 8, Section 1401, Clause G, declares that one is a natural born citizen of the United States if they are:

So far, all have chosen to end run this so they cannot be said to have caused any instability in their State or this Nation. Might well be that even SCOTUS clooses to do the same thing. No, it does not "include" a book. Vattel's book is one treatise on the subject; it does not make law what Vattel wrote. He is offering legal opinion (like in the (in)famous "I say that to be of the country, you need to..."). His word is not law, no matter how much you'd like it to be.

Legal French would have said it differently. Why didn't Vattel say "de deux parens citoyens"? Simple: because he didn't mean that.

That doesn't make any sense. If someone is native born (born within a country's territory and recognized as a citizen), why would their parents matter?
It has nothing to do with their parents, it has to do with WHERE they were born.
One is either natural born (native, as you pointed out) OR naturalized (foreign born and must go through naturalization).
There is no 3rd type of "super citizen".

First, the fact that he took a book from a library and forgot to return it does not even prove that he read it, let alone agreed with the opinions it held. Second, since he took the book out in 1789, that would mean that his copy did not contain the phrase "Natural Born Citizen" since that had yet to be added to the text. So you fail to prove anything.

You can not prove whether he was truthful about the Founders using that copy or if he was just trying to make Dumas feel good about sending the books.
