I used to see these guys at Roadies In Goldsboro, NC... some of the best days of my life... the best memories... used to see them and Jesse Bolt at The Attic in Greenville back in 1980.
Who are you and for your info, I am shooting the vid not in it. These guys are very talented and yes people get old. One day you will to if you don't die first. They have more talent than you could ever dream of, punk !!!
I used to go see these guys every chance I could while living in New Bern, NC 77-79. The venue was usually DIamond Jim's. Does anyone know whatever happened to their lead guitarist at that time, Mark Downing ?
Partied hearty with these guys when thet came down to LA,,Early 80"s
Ya"all know,Greg Spears??/Hyatt house,,Ha,ha,,That stupidpunk band that came out first "The Yachts"",Rode that party bus from Carlsbad to the Whisky,,Snort,Snort,Thanks for the memories...Frank
Still playing, Tommy's wife recently passed away. Tribute show to Tommy Sunday 9-12-2010 in Wake Forest. Agree Larry very arrogant, his wife the same way. Tommy good as gold.
ever known a frontman who WASN'T arrogant? I've been to so many concerts from national acts that i can't remember them all....but I still remember EVERY time I saw nantucket....I live in ohio now and I can only wish that my friends and family up here could experience what i did many times in the late 70's and early 80's...glad to see these guys are still rockin.....oh yeah, anybody remember tommy redd's FUCK IRAN button? I bet he still has that in hidden away in a drawer somewhere...
I live in Raleigh and saw them when they were Stax of Gold all the way through making it big, then back to doing reunion stuff at the Longbranch. They were much much better in the old days. Great songs but the Uzzell brothers are a couple of the most arrogant people I've ever met. Tommy one of the nicest.
Yes , Kenny Soule and Peewee Watson.
