Sammy isn't Van Halen!  I'll take that to my grave. I do agree that Mike is integral to the vocal sound, but Dave's are even more important. The band was a collective jackass in its day, you ahd to like their attitude or not. Dave and Eddie are the pairing that brought me out for this tour.
