Simple: you need less dollars to buy the same product, thus a lower demand for dollars.

When demand for dollars drop, the value of the dollar drops. The more the dollar drops, the more other countries will dump their dollar foreign reserves.

The higher price of oil acts like a sponge for absorbing US dollar inflation.  This keeps the us dollar relatively in check, but if that sponge is so to say removed, the inflation of the dollar has to be reflected in either other commodity prices, or in a weaker currency.

Well according to The Oil Non-Crises, Henry Kissinger convinced the arab countries to purchase US debt, via treasury securities, in exchange the US will purchase their oil. I'm not sure how $50 oil with crash the dollar in particular, but we don't need to worry about oil when it comes to the devaluation of the US dollar. The federal reserve is the cause of the dollar's demise, buy printing too much money, coupled with politicians who won't do a damn thing to save it.

It's not just the $50, it's the fact that the Middle East won't be selling as much oil and not for as much.

See, the Middle East agreed to denominate in dollars only. If Indonesia and Russia are selling oil, they won't be denominating in dollars ;)

No one will be forced to use dollars to buy oil, and since we have fiat, worthless currency, everyone will dump the dollar. Then it will crash.
