Actually, - these set of lyrics are for the original version. (without Adam Gontier) Adam changed them to help the flow go better. Adam's version is muuuch better.

this is the new version, the lyrics are for the old version, Adam didn't like how the old one came out, so he went back to the studio and recorded this version. both are good.

the lyrics aren't wrong. they are just for the full version of the song. this video is the radio edit therefore they cut some of the lyrics out to make the song sound different.
