"Soundproof study rooms" ??? If by that the narrator means "You can hear every work being said in all neighboring rooms," then I agree.
CI is a nice place, but I would really suggest making sure you want to go here. I'm not saying CI is a bad place, because I have no comparison to make because it's the only university I've attended, but there is a lot of room for improvement. I would give it a C+ or B-.
Most of the pictures in this video are not even of CI, but of surrounding land, and don't show all the irrigation, construction equipment, etc. Also, construction is constant and provides a ready amount of noise.
I only ever see President Rush as I pass by the fancy dinners he likes to hold in the library conference room where my tuition money goes into buying champagne and intricate chocolate flowers to adorn the plates of those attending.
Things that I like about CSUCI: it's a small school with professors teaching classes (no TAs), it is pretty, nice library.
Things I don't like about CSUCI: in the middle of nowhere (literally wedged between fields), research is not a very big issue, library functionality sucks (walls don't even go up to the ceiling in the study rooms), tuition is raised 10% EVERY SEMESTER, the school spends an obscene amount of money on things we don't need (ie trinkets and t-shirt give-aways).
