If you haven't seen the film "Stranded" it is outstanding - the story told by the survivors, including Mr. Parrado. This interview is very interesting - but the film captures the emotions of the experience as well as the facts and the events. It is truly a moving, inspiring, remarkable film.

Que tal gente soy de Barros Blancos, Canelones, URUGUAY tengo 19 años y la pelicula "VIVEN" la muestran una vez por año aqui en homenaje a los sobrevivientes y los heroes que atravesaron la cordillera con sacrificio hasta llegar al queridisimo y amigo pais de CHILE, gracias tambien al arriero chileno!!! un abrazo enorme "LA ESPERANZA ES LO ULTIMO QUE SE PIERDE"

soy de montevideo y no mientas, la pelicula "viven" no la dan una vez al año, antes la daban seguido pero ahora no, la ultima vez que la dieron en la tele fue en el 2002 en canal 12 cuando se cumplieron 30 años del accidente

I learnt about this story when I was a kid - I hate when the majority of the people associate this incredible experience only with the cannibalism event...idiots. We all have to learn a lot from Nando and from what those guys went over - true hero and true man. He's one of the people I respect and admire most on this planet.

Terrorism happens when a whole society has been systematically deprived and suppressed.
