  • ont s en bas les couille de ta video de geek

  • I love the rap music for knuckels! :D

  • Sega gives so much love to the manual designs in Japan, Full of Color and lively pictures, but creates a very cheap, Black & White, Manual for their American Audience, The only company that makes manuals like the ones in this video in America is Nintendo!

  • The Japanese version of S&K isn't any more rare than the J Sonic 1, 2 ,or 3

  • my cousin got the japanese and english version when it came out. i dont know he still has it...he gave me the english poster and sonic 2 game...i lost the poster but still have the game.

  • Damn, i have the complete Japanese versions of Sonic 1-3 but Sonic & Knuckles... man oh man is it hard to find complete with it's box and manual. It's easy to find just to the cartridge for sale but finding it with it's box and manual is hard.

  • freak! i literally have this game and a whole bunch of other sonic games in my garage. no case or anything. jeez, its worth some value. i better go store them away properly.

  • I have Knuckles Chaotix for 32X. That is more rare than this game.

  • @PKGangsta18

Actually the japanese version of Knuckles Chaotix is rare. This game might not be rare but it's hard to find auctions for it where it's complete with its box and manual.

  • I never saw this game for sale anywhere (japanese version). I wonder how much it is once you can get an hold at it...I saw some japanese genesis games going so pricey. Like it's better to buy a laptop and to download the game than to buy it :P

  • I live in Canada and have been looking for this Japanese version of Sonic & Knucles for a while now; I wouldn't mind getting the cartridge only. I read some comments that were saying they are not that rare so I am going to check out on Ebay or other stores to check them out.

    Very nice video thanks.

  • i dont get how just because sommin has a different box and cartridge sticker it is rare...

  • thats not rare!!

  • yeah it is

  • I've the same plush :3

  • Of course its rare. And to get one like that one, new and unopened with all its contents (manual, etc) is pretty awesome.

  • I know a lot of Japanese Mega Drive games that are harder to come by. This isn't one of them.

  • Igot that at game stop 8years ago for 5dollars

  • S&K japanese version isn't "ultra rare"...hell, it's not rare at all.

  • I just bought one for $20 USD of ebay

  • A guy in sweden bought it in a game store for 10 dollars

or as we in sweden call it 100 kronor.

  • I want

  • i just bought 1 on ebay after looking for about 4 months and yes, its very rare and ass expensive... i payed 60$ including shipping...but i still mt favorite box art of any game ever

  • hmmm...nice but apparently, i had that was years ago. threw it away when my megadrive stoped working. u sure its rare? lol

  • its a normal box i have the same o,o i living in latin america xD!

  • I have got a copy!

  • 日本から持って行かないでください。

  • I agree with you on that one. He doesn't even play it...

  • I like the wuropean case better, although it's still cardboard.. which sucks... the artwork i better!

  • play it...

  • A game is MADE to be played on.

  • yeh... sooooooooooo

  • It's probably a little rarer than US and EUR copies because the Sega megadrive wasn't so popular in Japan.

  • now is is this as rare as some of the rare import games

  • wat.

  • badass

  • It's not THAT rare.

  • yeah it is quite rare. but not ultra rare

  • you should have left it in the case. the value would almost double in like 20 years if its that rare

  • bet its not rare in japan lol

  • hey man nice video of the japanese sonic 3 and knuckles cart. sonic 3 and knuckles was my best sonic game. also i think the european version which i have is rare too. not many were available in london, lucky i still got mine and yes i understand about the inner packaging it is a nightmare to put back. probably the best sonic game of all time 10/10

  • I had the American version of this game. It was a lot of fun. It was cool that you could use it to be knuckles in other games

  • i was lookin for that cart :( i never found one.. gratz man ure so lucky

  • is Japanese version of Sonic 2 rare?

  • the real japanese version is rare i guess, but not THAT hard to get it cheap... be careful, there is an asian version, made for the chinese market which is a little poor. There is a yellow mark on the cover which sais "asian version" or something, look for this, if you cant find it, buy it!

  • yep dam right

  • I have that same sonic toy =P

  • then you can call yourself lucky too :D

i think plushies changed a lot since the Adventure series, in a really bad way...

  • is that the sonic 2 one? I've got the tails to go with that, and the sonic from sonic 1

  • Cool, i got the european version, i see you want to open a retro shop. I got a lot of sega stuff for sale at the moment. contact me if your interested, but its not cheap!

  • "Rare" also depends on the scope of your search. If you are searching online, you are right. This is very near to impossible to find. However, I saw a some in multiple stores for sale in Akiba back in 2006. More than likely they don't have any sites online, so I guess it is rare if you are only searching online.

  • Pal, i am living in a country, where THE console is only PS3, it was THE console before even it was created, and it will be forever THE console. All the others are nearly unknown, and also Sega immediately faded away from the date of releasing the Saturn. I guess theres no more than 1000 Dc's here, and less people who knows about it. Maybe its okay in Japan, also not so hard to find in America, BUT here in Hungary theres nothing. So for me it - easy to get vs. nothing to get - equals ultra rare.

  • Oh wow. DO WANT.

I've been trying to collect the Sonic games for Genesis. I have all of the real games(meaning Sonic1-3 and Knuckles) and Sonic Spinball, Mean bean machine, and Sonic 3d blast. It still works too. :D

  • this aint so rare, my bro got it=P

  • and your bro is called "the aint no got any games guy" or why does that mean it isnt so rare? i have got not only 1 but 5 unopened copies of SA2 Birthday pack, that doesnt mean it isnt rare buddy..

  • if my bro was able to get one, it means it isnt hard... if its rare, u shouldt be able to get hold of one that easily...

  • how easily? :-) looking at eBay listings for 9 months nonstop, missing out an earlier opportunity to get one, because it has ended at 30pounds easily? :D...

  • even tough u dont know where to look, it dosnt mean its rear... i just asked my bro, he said it didnt take him any time at all to find it, according to him: finding the product: 1 min. buying it/credit card-cap: 3 min waiting for it to be sent from japan to norway: 1 week.

  • have you heard about... lucky?

  • yea, google rly loves that.

i mean.. youre lucky with their first result n stuff!!

  • okay, lets admit, your bro has got this title in japanese, so the world is a great place, everybody has everything, no more wars and starving, rare things duplicated in a limited quantity made in 94 are enough for 7billion people, and google lovers can go to hell. God i had the same class mates like you when i was 14, it was elections that time, and we were arguing about that, nobody listened to nobody just sayin their stupid "facts" they "heard" so they are smart... i dont need that feel again.

  • A man with the memory capacity of a goldfish (4 sec!!!) can be convinced by nothing. As i said, 9 months of searching. BUT, a word, called "lucky" was enough to delete that 9 months from your brain, and you came up with your fool google thing. But dont be sad, you are a perfect little anime goldfish... Congratulations, end of talking.

  • Why do you have 5? That just keeps other people who want them from having them, in my opinion.

  • Thats right, without that information: i am collecting many of one title to open a retro console shop.

  • Congratz 2 ya man

  • i have the european version

  • Wow, I didn't know it was that RARE! Because I have the Japanese version myself that I got at least 3 years ago off Trademe (NZ Version of Ebay). The box fell apart, but I still have the cartridge and manual. The manual is in colour too, unlike the Euro and US release and it plays no problem on a PAL or NTSC-U Megadrive.

  • I got the euro version of it

  • Im still looking for a good condition euro version... i didnt know that will find the jap version in mint before the european :/ I always get some from ebay, but every copies are completely crashed or heavy weared. You are very lucky if you have that version in mint condition!

  • Right! You are right, the box are not in a mint condition.

  • I've seen a couple of copies in Osaka. It's rare outside of Japan, though. It's also rare to find a copy in this condition.

  • unfortunately there is no japanese ebay (anyone knows why?) for some reason, that makes it much more rare i think.

  • They use a place called Yahoo Auctions Japan instead, I believe.

  • Awesome find, is the gameplay the same or are you not going to play it?

  • It is completely the same, and 100% compatible with the nonjapan machines / earlier on-lockable Sonic games. I am not gonna play it, i am just happy having it in my collection. If i wanna play S&K, I grab a poor condition PAL one. Thanks for commenting ;-)
