  • Really liked the video. If I can offer some constructive criticism, without it being taken as a diss! When you shoot fight sequences in real time, and yours was beautiful, the selling of the blows is on the actor being hit and it works better if the shots are in closeup and shown at the moment of impact so we, the audience, sees the reaction of the hit not the hit.

That might be a hard choice for you because of the great choreography of the fight scenes but that is what sells it for the viewer.

  • damn did you guys get a permit? haha I heard it was $250 in NYC lol

but hey this movie did bring back some memories haha

  • @Winterborn1981 That was cool, My son is in here doing kicks and punches. LOL. You know it good when you start yelling at the screen like the people in the movie can hear you. Good work J. to you and your crew. -Zet

  • 600 views in less than 36 hours (keep in mind 9hours for people to sleep). Very Impressive! Keep up the great work.

  • Thanks for all the support! We had a talented cast of martial artist and off the hook crew that made all of this possible.

  • The sound effects are fine. This isn't a production with an unlimited budget. The people who are watching this video aren't necessarily interested in the sound effects. They are interested in your martial arts skill, which is executed on the camera, and it looks good. They can and will realize that will a larger budget, you'd look 10 x better.

  • absolutely exceeded my expectations. the choreography/camera work was great. i hate to bring it up again but u should think about redoing the sound fx. some strikes doesn't sound as powerful as it should. realism is cool but i think some exaggeration can add an extra level of intensity to your fights. regardless, awesome work overall.

  • Yo this joint is ill b!!! I gotta show this to everybody.

  • A Spanish Harlem First.... BT n Tornado gettin their butts kicked & Toheeb b packin a blade........ Hero saves the day n leaves for sunny NEGRIL with beautiful BEAUTY.

    yours truly,

    The PalmStriker

  • @relentless Dope! Glad that you do...Imagine what the film would sound like without the effects...it would be wack. There was a different knife sound for each time that it was dropped. We foley'd the sounds by ourselves. I thought they were more realistic, which is what I was going for. Real body parts were used to create the sounds. No budget, and it was shot in 1 day. There are always things to improve, but overall I'm pleased. This was my first time directing too. The car part stays! Lol.

  • Good effort, nice camera work and editing. Fight scenes like these are difficult to choreograph. Nice work!

  • Great! I dont think theres anything wrong with the sound effects, sounds kinda like a click but its cool, both a mixture of cool flashy choreography along with some real techniques sort of a street version of mma, id love to see more projects like this!

  • @silatguy i agree. thank you. should be something in the near future...

  • Good! I had to watch that twice!

  • @mostwantedluv that's what' up! thanks, homie.

  • James this is fantastic! You and your team did an excellent job, and the final product comes off very strong! What are you guys working on next?

  • Taimak is somewhere looking on like a proud father.

  • I was waiting for you to start glowing!

    GREAT JOB!

  • @masterneverny haha. you didn't see it? haha. thank you so much.

  • Definitely a Good Tribute to The Last Dragon. Good Work, James!

  • @PENAFIELMAN1 thank you! appreciate it.

  • Dope James! do you also have a martial arts background or did you just train for the movie?

  • @oxross Hey! I can now say that I have a martial arts background. I trained for about 2 months, before we started doing the choreography. We spent about a month on the choreography...not everyday of course, but at least twice a week.

  • love it baby.

  • @bckmma Thanks, brother!

  • BRUCE LEROY IS BACK!
