i donno man... why didnt u get an Escalade??? i mean i love Cadillacs, trust me... but this SRX shit just reminds me of some shit honda or a toyota or somethin... u kno? its not a proper SUV and it aint a sedan either... wtf?
I hate that three letter crap too. It is a marketing ploy to make a car seem "better". You notice it is with only luxury cars. Some exceptions would be like the Lincoln Navigator or the Cadillac Escalade for example.
In my opinion, I thought that Mercedes Benz did the letter-number naming first? But you are right, caddy is copying the schemes but, everybody is copying everyone.
I guess so. IMO, if they want to use letters, at least make them meaningful like what Lexus does. What the heck does CTS and SRX mean? S stands for sedan and X stands for crossover, I guess?
LOL Remember the Acura Legend or Integra? Yes the modeled after BMW and Benz back in 1993 with the STS. Around the time Infiniti came into existance!!!!! Cadillac is over 100 years old and I dare you to read there list of first. Everybody in the industry has followed there lead just do a search on Cadillac innovations and first in google.
They still can't make a decent car tough. I have a 05 Escalade and an 02 Avalanche. The interior of the Escalade is as cheap as the Avalanche. To think that it cost 75000$ when it was new.
No wonder GM has gone bust. I do my part to support the economy. We have 3 American cars and I ride a Harley. But still it's only patriotism and has nothing to do with quality of the cars built in America. They have always been shit compare to European cars.
It's not only to make the vehicle better, it's also for the brand itself. Instead of saying, "I drive a town car" or "I drive a Camry" people use letters so they say "I drive a Lexus" or "I drive a Cadillac." This makes the brand seem more prestigious.
the 2009-present Cadillac SRX is assembled in
Ramos Arizpe, Mexico

Just saw one yesterday and it was very nice. I was very surprised at how small it looked; about the same size as my Hyundai Santa Fe.

Sweet-looking ride. That's a definite improvement over the previous model. I wouldn't mind having one of those.
