  • Now that's a great send-off for such a report. The whole time I was wondering the affiliation of the interviewer, and who better to host a segment than an open agnostic? And to end it with "a fence-sitting agnostic, waiting for an epiphany" just sums the point that there is still miles to go before the absolute truth is uncovered.

  • i am Dharmic or i am Brahmic , read my vedas , read my history of Dharmic Religions that spread from china , greece , egypt , denmark and wales .

  • One Sided, yet promoting democracy and equality? What and hypocrite...

  • One Sided, yet promoting democracy and equality? What and hypocrite...

  • Atheists singing a godless "Kumbaya." Shameful.

  • My homie Greydon Square!

  • if a doctor says " i will pray for your health" insted of finding out whats wrong the person will most likely die.

  • now you americans have your first black president

i think it's time for the ultimate goal now:

    The first atheist president :)

  • "In Canada Separation of Church and State isn't written into the Constitution like it is in the U.S."

What? It's not written into the U.S. Constitution either...

  • @dex1391 I'm not even American, and even I know there is a defiant separation of Church and State in the States...

  • @SnideCast

Really? Perhaps you'd like to show me where?

Have you read the U.S. Constitution? If you have and it's in there then it should be easy to show me huh?

  • @dex1391 I didn't say it is in the constitution in those exact words, nevertheless I think what he meant was that Canada does not have a separation of church and state and the USA does officially...

  • @SnideCast

If the U.S. officially had a separation of church and state... it would be in the Constitution... Which it does not.

What the constitution does is limit the power of government.

It doesn't allow the government to force religion on anyone.

    and

It doesn't allow government to interfere in religion or try to stop it.

It separates nothing and in no way limits the rights of individuals... which a separation would

  • @dex1391 The separation between church and state can be found in Article 6 of the US Constitution and in the first amendment of the Bill of Rights. Even though the language is in an older style of English it is still quite clear that the government neither endorses or rejects religion but respects the right to freedom of belief, and also clarifies that a person of any belief can become a politician in the US. It is later emphasized in The Treaty of Tripoli in the first sentence of article 11.

  • @adi1000

Hmmmm looking here. Yup, just like I thought. It's not in there. Not under article 6 and not in the 1st amendment. I don't know who's telling you this crap but perhaps you should take the time to actually read it for yourself.

The constitution limits the powers of government. That's all. It doesn't limit the rights of the people.

  • @dex1391 I did read it that's why I posted what articles it appears in. The separation of church and state doesn't limit the rights of freedom, in fact it gives more rights to the people than those in other countries. For example in Britain the Supreme Governor of the Church of England is the Queen, she appoints the high-ranking members of the church (supervised by the Prime Minister) those members are then part of the Lords Spiritual who serve in the House of Lords (equivalent of congress).

  • @adi1000

Again... there is no separation of church and state. It doesn't exist.

All the constitution does is limit the power of government.

    "congress shall pass no law..."

  • @dex1391 Ok let me put it this way.

Are there any American religious leaders that have direct influence in the US Senate or House of Representatives that haven't been elected into that position but are solely there because of being the head of there religion?

Also what is the official religion of the US?

From my knowledge there isn't any official religion of the US and no religious leader has any direct political sway, so it stands government and church are separate.

  • @adi1000

There are religious influences yes. And there has to be. You can't ban all Christians, Muslims, Jews or whatever from holding office.

83% of America is Christian. We're all free to choose any religious we choose. We don't have a separation to stop that from happening.

There is no separation of church and state.

    We have 2 things...

    1. Congress can't interfere with religion

    2. Congress can't force religion

That's it... no limits to individuals...

  • @dex1391 You seriously do not understand what separation of church and state means. Let me educate you, it means the public can believe whatever they want, politicians can believe whatever they want, it also means that the religious elite do not get a free ride to pass bill's or any legislature. Yes there will be influence from religion but not directly as there is no spiritual senate. The American government has no official religion. This is why America is unique.

  • @adi1000

Hmmmm you are an idiot. America is unique.... but it's because we have freedom of religion. We're allowed to worship as we please.

Separation of church and state would violate the constitution.

You can't limit the rights of individuals.

You can't tell individuals where they when or where they can worship.

You need to get some education.

  • @dex1391 What you are saying is exactly what separation of church and state stands for. If your intellect (lack of) is the outcome of an American education I am honestly glad I'm not American. In fact you have just single handily proved all studies correct showing how poor the education system is in America compared to every other western country. I feel sorry for intelligent Americans who have to deal with people like you every day.

  • @adi1000

What separation of church and state stands for is reduction of 1st amendment rights. Retard... it doesn't exist. You can't show me any document that says that it does.

You are simply another brainwashed canadian who believes what you've been told rather than investigating things yourself.

Funny that you hide from facts when I tell them to you.

Can't explain my list can you? didn't think so.

  • @adi1000

I bet that you're an atheist / bigot...

  • @dex1391 Humanist to be precise, certainly not a bigot though as I have no problem with idea of god(s) or people who believe in such, unless they oppress people or commit acts of violence in the name of there god(s).

  • @adi1000

But you have no problem with atheists that commit acts of violence or oppress others...

  • @dex1391 I never said anything of the sort and of course I would have a problem with that. To clarify an atheist wouldn't commit those acts because of there atheism but because of an ideology, atheism has no ideology attached it just means somebody who doesn't believe in a god.

The points you mentioned have nothing to do with separation of church and state (please google the phase for its meaning) as they have no impact in the passing of bill's or any resolution.

  • @adi1000

That's bullshit and you know it. I'm sick and tired of this special pleading. If you can judge Christians by the acts of a few I can judge atheists in the exact same way.

The term "separation of church and state" don't enter legal text until 1947. Seriously... if you want to talk about American government try to learn a little about it first.

    You cannot explain my list...

  • @dex1391 BTW I don't judge all religious people by the acts of a few, some do I do not.

It is true that the exact words "separation of church and state" do not appear in the constitution but its a term that refers to the meaning behind what is in the constitution and bill of rights. Read President Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Baptists from Danbury, Connecticut (1802) where the phrase was first coined.

  • @adi1000

I've read the letter to the Danbury Baptists. I'd suggest you do the same. What Jefferson meant is totally different from how it is used today.

Do you really need a history lesson?

  • @dex1391 Out of courtesy I am going to say there is no point in this dialogue as the term is used exactly the same today as it was by Thomas Jefferson. I can understand why your arguing your case but "separation of church and state" certainly doesn't mean a country free of religion (i personally think that would be impossible and a negative to try and do so).

  • @adi1000

Wow are you dense. Even when provided with the historical context you still deny facts. You must be a troll.

  • @adi1000

Jefferson understood their concern; it was also his own. In fact, he made numerous declarations about the constitutional inability of the federal government to regulate, restrict, or interfere with religious expression. For example:

  • @adi1000

[N]o power over the freedom of religion . . . [is] delegated to the United States by the Constitution. Kentucky Resolution, 1798

In matters of religion, I have considered that its free exercise is placed by the Constitution independent of the powers of the general [federal] government. Second Inaugural Address, 1805

[O]ur excellent Constitution . . . has not placed our religious rights under the power of any public functionary. Letter to the Methodist Episcopal Church, 1808

  • @adi1000 I consider the government of the United States as interdicted [prohibited] by the Constitution from intermeddling with religious institutions . . . or exercises. Letter to Samuel Millar, 1808

Jefferson believed that the government was to be powerless to interfere with religious expressions for a very simple reason: he had long witnessed the unhealthy tendency of government to encroach upon the free exercise of religion. As he explained to Noah Webster:

  • It had become an universal and almost uncontroverted position in the several States that the purposes of society do not require a surrender of all our rights to our ordinary governors . . . and which experience has nevertheless proved they [the government] will be constantly encroaching on if submitted to them;

  • @adi1000

that there are also certain fences which experience has proved peculiarly efficacious [effective] against wrong and rarely obstructive of right, which yet the governing powers have ever shown a disposition to weaken and remove. Of the first kind, for instance, is freedom of religion.

  • @adi1000

Thomas Jefferson had no intention of allowing the government to limit, restrict, regulate, or interfere with public religious practices. He believed, along with the other Founders, that the First Amendment had been enacted only to prevent the federal establishment of a national denomination – a fact he made clear in a letter to fellow-signer of the Declaration of Independence Benjamin Rush:

  • [T]he clause of the Constitution which, while it secured the freedom of the press, covered also the freedom of religion, had given to the clergy a very favorite hope of obtaining an establishment of a particular form of Christianity through the United States; and as every sect believes its own form the true one, every one perhaps hoped for his own, but especially the Episcopalians and Congregationalists.

  • @adi1000

The returning good sense of our country threatens abortion to their hopes and they believe that any portion of power confided to me will be exerted in opposition to their schemes. And they believe rightly.

  • In 1947 in the case Everson v Board of Education the Supreme Court declared "The First Amendment has erected a wall between church and state. That wall must be kept high and impregnable. We could not approve the slightest breach." The separation of church and state phrase which they invoked, and which has today become so familiar, was taken from an exchange of letters between President Thomas Jefferson and the Baptist Association of Danbury, Connecticut, shortly after Jefferson became President.

  • @adi1000

The election of Jefferson – America's first Anti-Federalist President – elated many Baptists since that denomination, by-and-large, was also strongly Anti-Federalist. This political disposition of the Baptists was understandable, for from the early settlement of Rhode Island in the 1630s to the time of the federal Constitution in the 1780s, the Baptists had often found themselves suffering from the centralization of power.

  • @adi1000

Consequently, now having a President who not only had championed the rights of Baptists in Virginia but who also had advocated clear limits on the centralization of government powers, the Danbury Baptists wrote Jefferson a letter of praise on October 7, 1801, telling him:

  • @adi1000

Among the many millions in America and Europe who rejoice in your election to office, we embrace the first opportunity . . . to express our great satisfaction in your appointment to the Chief Magistracy in the United States. . . . [W]e have reason to believe that America's God has raised you up to fill the Chair of State out of that goodwill which He bears to the millions which you preside over.

  • @adi1000

May God strengthen you for the arduous task which providence and the voice of the people have called you. . . . And may the Lord preserve you safe from every evil and bring you at last to his Heavenly Kingdom through Jesus Christ our Glorious Mediator.

  • @adi1000

However, in that same letter of congratulations, the Baptists also expressed to Jefferson their grave concern over the entire concept of the First Amendment, including of its guarantee for "the free exercise of religion": Our sentiments are uniformly on the side of religious liberty: that religion is at all times and places a matter between God and individuals, that no man ought to suffer in name, person, or effects on account of his religious opinions, [and]

  • @adi1000

[and] that the legitimate power of civil government extends no further than to punish the man who works ill to his neighbor. But sir, our constitution of government is not specific. . . . [T]herefore what religious privileges we enjoy (as a minor part of the State) we enjoy as favors granted, and not as inalienable rights.

  • In short, the inclusion of protection for the "free exercise of religion" in the constitution suggested to the Danbury Baptists that the right of religious expression was government-given (thus alienable) rather than God-given (hence inalienable), and that therefore the government might someday attempt to regulate religious expression. This was a possibility to which they strenuously objected-unless, as they had explained, someone's religious practice caused him to "work ill to his neighbor."

  • @adi1000

BTW... since I'm so "stupid" I've probably never read about Everson v. Board of Education.

  • @adi1000

Here's a little info for ya...

Ever session of congress begins with a prayer.

Each of our armed services has full time clergy on staff.

Where I live the parochial schools are paid for with a government voucher.

I wouldn't want to live in a place where religious rights were diminished with a separation of church and state.

  • 2:19 ----- 2:45 ------------------ WORD!!

  • This makes me glad that my parents were not religious.

  • "Atheism build on despair, these atheists say 'au contrare' " LOL

  • notice atheists dont freak out when people believe in god, but goddies get angry, cursing with violence. i hate to see what god does to some people.

  • You people are ignorant at 3:30 in this video he says waiting on the side line for some man to come and save us and fix our problems.Number 1 he didn't say be a dumb ass the only thing in life you can do wrong is the sin of not excepting him as you savor and no a invisible man cant fix your problems only you can..The bible doesn't say he will fix our problems.Trust in him will help but only you can fix your problems Atheism is about as dumb as saying a dog can fly or a bird can talk.

  • @Therundown1220 Are you listening to what you're saying? In the same sentance you're saying "trust in him will help" and then immediately contradict this with "only you can fix your problems". Which is it? Will a god help or not? If he/she will help then why bother with insurance, doctors, safety gear etc.? If he won't intervene then what's the point in believing?

Belief comes down to nothing more than a security blanket....one that we don't need.

  • @Therundown1220 How about a snake & a donkey can talk & the sun can stop moving then start again & the Earth is flat?

BTW, do you preach to animals?

  • funny that when anyone witnesses a car accident they reach for a cell phone rather than just drop down and pray.

its almost like god is who you turn to when there is no one to turn to. ..why? If god is your supreme all powerful creator and ruler of your life and universe do you step on his toes to seek dr's, professors, professionals, and friends?

sorry, but if I had a fella over my head promising eternal salvation and could do ANYTHING...screw people ....id be chilling with GOD 24/7

  • It's too bad the conservatives won again.

  • Atheists have more morals then the pious, because we act 'good' without the threat of eternal damnation...unlike the pious.

  • Athiest believe or don't believe what they want, the same goes for thiest. Who is anyone to judge? Don't let extremist on both sides affect your life. Not all religious individuals are impractical or illogical, its what they choose to believe. Human nature can advance. It is the conflicting ways of both that will hinder progress.

  • Athiest

  • i am so glad that Jesus Christ died for my sin. the God of the universe became a man for you and me. if atheists want to doubt that God exists, that is their right. it's a silly thing. look outside. look at your DNA.

God created us and loves us. i am so glad that i have a future. how sad to be an atheist and think that when you die, that's it. nothing matters. how depressing and untrue.

call on the Lord Jesus and He will save you. He promises to listen and He IS there and loves you!

  • @JasperDale You have absolutely no evidence that Jesus died for anything, or that a God exists, loves, and listens to me (other than the Bible). I can also say this about Zeus, Hades, any God mentioned in the Rig Veda, the tribal nations of Africa's Gods, etc. Why don't you believe in them as well? By your logic, they are equally as valid.

  • If there is scientific evidence showing God is real then atheists are wrong, right? Quantum physicists can show evidence that God is real. If people don't understand the evidence then believe the physicists for their wisdom. Don't believe an atheist who lacks the understanding of this empirical evidence.

    watch?v=2V6SaBflpiM

    watch?v=OrcWntw9juM

  • GREYDON!

  • Quite good documentary. I mean it shows atheists from a much better perspective despite being objective. How is it that whenever an allegedly objective interview or programme appears in american public, atheists in comparison with theists are always the negative ones, and even worse in videos promoting religion over irreligion. I myself am not American, but I watch english and american videos about atheism, as eastern European atheists are ostracized and don't create many.

  • @AntiFaithNY I could see how an imaginary man would give him comfort. He seemed very lonely, and without his dilusion, would probably not be able to handle life.

  • Here's another atheist quote by Benjamin Franklin: religion is the most useless instituion created by man

  • Canada doesn't have separation between church and state in their constitution. Canadians consider their nation secular.

America does have separation between church and state in our constitution. And we consider ourselves a "Judeo-Christian" nation.

    ?????

  • I think I'll post a few famous Atheistic quotes: Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. Lucius Annaeus Seneca,

Roman philosopher and statesman 4 BC – AD 65

    Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day;

Give him a religion, and he'll starve to death

    while praying for a fish.

    Unknown

Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky.

    George Carlin

  • Notice the way the black rapper is thinking and speaking, I say critical thinking and knowledge help troubled teens and criminals more than throwing their responsibilities on god...

  • The hippie with the guitar at 6:55 needs to shut up...I DO NOT like religion and DO NOT want any part of it!!!

  • 6:12 way to represent. i am not familiar with the word "intrical"

  • Good documentary.

  • he should ditch her

  • Typical..... those Ryerson bums.

  • Uh ,separation of church and state is not in the constitution. Well the words them selves are not but the state cannot make a state religion. The phase separation of church and state is in a letter from Thomas Jefferson. Read the constitution and find that phrase and were it is.

  • is it just me or does he sound a little like eminem?

i want to buy some of his music it sounds pretty good from what i've seen in these clips.

  • I'm an Atheist and I am free!

  • @mikerodeman nice said

  • I kinda feel the same way. Religion can keep people in a child like state of mind. I don't need it anymore. I can stand on my own 2 feet. I can deal with the reality of this world. I'm not afraid anymore, of life or death. Atheism is like being a wolf. life is harder but you stand on your own feet,be your own master. Christianity is like being a pet dog. You live in a sheltered comfortable house. But you wait for your master to feed you, lead you around by the nose. You are someone elses bitch!

  • Thanks for posting this video. I just deconverted and I live in Utah. Videos like this help me feel like I'm part of a community and less alone.

  • @tacojohn9 There's no need for magic underwear for us to think lol.

  • If there was no christianity/islam there would be no reason for any tension between the east and west.

  • 2Ti 4:3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions. 4:4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

  • I <3 CANADA! :-)

  • great documentary. While I still occasionally read theist books as entertaining fictional stories I look forward to the day that atheists are not persecuted.

  • I figured out there was no "god" at the same time I figured out there was no Santa Claus. The two are identical.

  • i belive it would bring ppl together,we would eliminate all these walls that have seperated us all for so long.

  • @DaAlphaOmega Exactly!

  • "I would be forlorned if I woke up tomorrow in a world with no God."

    How would you know?

  • I'm a U of T student and proud atheist, it's astounding however, how many buildings fundamentally have a religious purpose or affiliation in the university. Many of the colleges have massive Catholic chapels, especially Trinity.

  • married to a religious person... damn.... i can neva imagine that

  • Oh my...I live in Toronto, not far from Ryerson...

  • best line: "people just need to make a decision. whether you believe in a god or not."

it's true. be athiest. believe in god. just do it based on your own mind. who can fault you for that?

  • LOL!!! We have to decide that our life is based on despair? Coming from a religion that says you deserve to be tortured for the crime of being born? Please.

  • meh

  • And if people are turned off by Christians who are hypocrites.... come on.

We are all hypocrites Christian or not. South Park attests to this fact of human nature. I'd EXPECT Christian hypocrisy to stand out. We claim to follow Jesus Christ who was without sin. Imperfect beings attempting to follow a perfect God. Expect us to fall short.

Nice that people notice that, sad they don't think "DUH of course they'd fail".

  • Any ideology and worldview has its violent proponents. Yes attacking an atheist for his or her atheism should be a hate crime.

The guy got it wrong about Christians suppressing knowledge and scientific progress in the "Dark Ages". The "conflict theory" that religion and science are completely opposed is a myth.

Just like it's a myth that people in Medieval times thought the world was flat... That came from a story in the 19th century from a fictional story written by Washington Irving.

  • or a pro gay muslim event. if i get slapped in the face nobody says boo, but if a gay transvestite muslim... my god the hypocrisy

  • I want to move to Canada!!!

  • I honestly change the word God to "we'll" when I sing O Canada....no one seems to notice

  • Our prime mister is a fuck'en ass hole, himself and the Queen of England. Death to the Queen!

  • I contest we are all Atheists, I only believe in one fewer God than you. Once you understand why you dismiss all other Gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.

How many people of "Faith" have taken the time to research and understand another faith. There are many options out there and each one has the same bold claims to being the only true religion yet none of them have any proof other than a massive game of Telephone. I would love to talk to one of the Original Religious leaders.

  • I begin to see the status of atheists in north-america. Stunning how they get threated to be evil in ways etc. teached by a 2000 year old book. Here in the Netherlands its more like 50/50 and good thing most important tv shows are atheistic. Yet indoctrination continues in big churches, religious schools and the increasing islamisation of europe. People need to study evolution, biology, and we will hopefully be a secular humanist world soon.

  • Repent, for the kingdom of God is near- proof the eartquakes in divrse places. Read matthew 24

  • @citrine38

    Hahaha

  • @citrine38 - The Bible also says you should worship in a closet. Please, for heavens, relieve us all of the misery.

  • Read matthew 24?.....

Since you're into mythology, might I also recommend books on ancient greek or roman gods, and how delusional the people of those cultures we're.

What's the difference between older cultures believing in obviously artificial gods, and our culture that believes in an obviously artificial god?

How very ignorant and conceited modern day "believers" are to think only THEIR god is real/right, but the other hundreds of proposed god's are fake.....

  • @citrine38 Natural events is not proof of anything and people have been saying the world is going to end for thousands of years but were still here i dont like your negative attude like all Christians who dare tell another man to repent for a crime done by christians dont threaten people with your superstion.

  • DERP

  • i don't believe in god. why? because god doesn't help me when i was raped. if there is hell, then i'm gladly there. because this world is more than hell.

  • Praise evolution and down with false idols .

  • Watched all 3 parts. Fairly good documentary. I feel confident and encouraged now that I have started an African Amerikkkan freethinkers organization.

  • @AKLazarus ....? Why are there three "k"s when you say Amerikkkan?

  • If you don't believe in god, you go to hell.

    That's what the Christians say.

If you believe in god, there's nothing we can do, because we haven't invented a hell.

    That's what the Atheists say.

  • THAT IS BULLSHIT, and fairy tales...may be beautiful stories. But that is all they are....so wake up idiot. Look around yourself and read some books on evolution....idiot...really...

  • well you are truly a idiot...you read a book written by some guy 2000 years ago. And takes everything that he wrote as fact. You are brainwashed by that book and all your other friends and relations are. If you are borned into a religious family you will be brainwashed and you are....and universe can't have end because that would mean that something exists outside it which there can't be. Because universe is everything. So your god that had a son that gave birth to jesus muhammed or whatever....

  • have always existed, because something cant be made of something...so it must always have exosted. And all that is said in the bible is fairy tales...you know it brainwashed fool.

  • surprized this video does not have more views - very interesting.

  • I am an atheist but I have literally no issues if the PM is saying God Bless Canada. Why shoudl I take offense, it doesn't even matter if a non existent being blesses Canada or not, at least to me.

  • "I would be forlorn tomorrow if I were to get up in a godless world."

Sucks to be you, because you're going to get up in that world anyway, regardless of what you believe.

Perhaps you do need your faith to keep you going, sir, but that doesn't mean the rest of us must be glum. We can look at the marvels, of nature without attributing them to some power working its magic from behind the scenes. By themselves, they are enough.

Take off the god glasses, just once. You might surprise yourself.

  • Why did this country called United States of America grow so powerful, if it wasn't for belief in The Creator? And now this nation is falling apart at the seems, because I think because of those in power who aren't really believers in The Creator but their belief in gaining power, namely The New World Order. Careful fellow humans in this world because beleive me you won't like the New World Order when it takes control of every nation under their own belief which isn't of The Creator.

  • Are you joking or are you serious? "New World Order"? ....

  • No, I am not joking. I'm very serious.

  • Well you have found us out, but we are so much more powerful than that. We're gonna take all your Bibles and put "Origin of Species" in their place and we're gonna kill all the Christians so all the Satan worshipping atheists can rule the world! Bwahaha! In Our New World Order the Creator will be abandoned as the new Gods of Atheism rise!! But now that you have found us out, we cannot allow you to live...>:-)

    *(this is a joke, btw)

  • like 4 or 5 out of the first 8 U.S presidents were atheists. the constitution separates church from state, all empires fall, this one won't ...wanna know why? cause we don't allow blind faith to make decisions.

  • Says what statistics? And also isn't atheism a belief in itself and therefore should also be seperate from state. Maybe one of these days you will all wake up to the truth. I'm just having a discussion here and not particularly preaching my own faith. I beleive everyone has a right to believe what they want to believe in.

So the ones who clicked on thumbs down on my statement must have it out for me because I'm a believer and that is the only reason. May you be blessed.

  • Says what statistic? that's not a fucking statistic it's a historical fact. And calling atheism a belief is like giving bald a hair color, and I agree everyone has a right to their own beliefs, but there are limits, if it's a threat to man kind (which religion obviously is) then it's not OK... freedom of religion, freedom from religion.

  • Believe how ever you want. I made my initial comment to voice that we are all in this together considering what is coming. You can hammer so-called religions all you want, doesn't change the fact that this nation has been a blessing to the world and now is on the brink of falling period. And if you are an American then I can only hope for you and me and the rest that this NWO doesn't get its hooks completely in this country. So peace be with you.

  • Listen man, we're both American's and religion is separating us and blinding you, religion is the reason we're in the middle east, bush was the worst president in the history of the United States and it's mainly because of his religious beliefs, this country is not falling apart, we've had worse times before, and we'll be fine.

  • I beleive in a creator and nothing you can say will change that. I just don't believe in most everything those who profess to be followers of The Creator are doing. They shouldn't be force feeding anyone, they should be a living example without having to preach a word unless asked directly. That is how I read the bible. There are lots of false man made traditions that have shown these false beliefs of religion. Like killing many in the name of some god.

  • So why must you practice religion? why can't you believe in god in your own way, why must you label yourself as a christian? religion is poison, the belief in god is an insecurity, but it's not harmful like religion is, the bible is a evil book written by crooks, please don't follow it.

  • I don't believe as those in Christianity believe. I don't even go to any church any more because of the lies I have come to find. And to believe we just happened is the other side of the coin I don't believe in either. I practice faith, not religion. But I won't be able to say anything to you to make you believe any other way then the way you already believe. So peace be with you and this is my last post here.

  • There are many things taught today that just doesn't go along with what is written in the bible that those who profess belief teach. Many of those things are ought right lies. I am half Eskimo so I know of the Roman Catholic Churches bull in pushing its beliefs on my mom and others before her. And I'm not here to argue either, but to state something I believe is coming on Our Free Country that has been slowly handed over to the RICH, and I'm not talking of the corporations or banks here.

  • As far as I'm concerned, your not religious hence you don't shove religion down somebody's throat and your not dangerous, so believe what you wish, you have a right to do so.

  • Stupid fuck? America...you know that the native indians also believed in gods. You know that the vikings also believed in their gods. You know that the dinosaurs lived 5 million years ago. Acording to a scientific method called coal 13 method or something. How come god doesnt mention the moon in his little book? and the other countless stars he has made...i dont rule out the posablitly that there is a creator of the galaxy...but if you go as long back as you can. There can be no god. it must

  • Nice words you have. The only words an idiot can use to defend himself by calling someone else names. So tell me, the universe where is its end and where does it begin? There is One Creator of ALL things Great and Small and His name is יהוה and there is no other Creator like him. And his only begotten Son יהושע which was born to pay the price for all the bull crap man has caused by his bull crap he does to others whether in word or deed. So may your eyes be opened to the Truth.

  • "his name is is.... WTF" .................

so just to get it straight you think if you cant explain something like the universe u just believe what a random book says? i know ur gonna say its not a "random" book but why not?

  • @tagerdinmoedom Believe what ever you want to. Random, how funny. Sounds like an evolutionist to me who believe everything is random. one day you will see.

  • @withwingsaseagleeyes no im not an evolutionist i just think that "god" is a way of your mind trying to get rid of the big questions in life the easiest way..... im just an atheist

  • @tagerdinmoedom Believe what ever your mind thinks is easy to believe in. I think your thinking is taking the easy way out in my opinion.

  • @withwingsaseagleeyes

yeah, thinking - that's definitely one of those things you want to stay far away from

    *sarcasm*

  • @withwingsaseagleeyes yeah this is a year old comment but hell ill commento n it. u ask me where is the universes end and beginning, i dont know how the universe will end persay because im not in the end im living in the now and im only worried about the now and the near future for my children and childrens children. where is the begining? well about 14 billino or so years ago with the big bang, but what caused it u may ask? we don't know for sure yet but one day we might find out

  • atheism is not a belief in it self its a none belief in fairy tales

  • There is no unity among atheist; divisions lay between how to relate to believers; some atheist take the insult-till-yer-blue-in-the-face route, while some atheist wish to work with anti-creationist believers.

  • 2:28 WRONG on "Dark Ages"; the dark ages were caused by invading barbarian tribes from the north such as the Vandals and Goths; they were out to destroy culture, government, and religion. The D/A was also made worse by the Black Plague.

    -------------------

Faith had nothing to do with the D/A.

  • This is great !! I'm glad that the Atheist movement is finally catching on to common people. These people have a normal rationale for not believing in god, and they can live normal lives. What a breath of fresh air !!

  • Wow the black guy really had some interesting points. If it is true that he used to be a gang member, and he became the way he is now - I stand up and applaud him.

  • I hope religious people in the future base their beliefs on abstract thinking instead of claiming to know the truth, if they do the latter, they are doing the same as they occuse atheists for doing, then I gues they're no better.

  • I have a son he is two yrs of age he never believe in ghost until one day someone tell him that there is ghost in darkroom so evrytime I carry him he said there is ghost so I start to asked him do u see ghost he said no so why u said there is then he never reply. just like that when we are in childhood our parents or elders thought us like that so we believe but we did'nt see it's like an imaginary thing.well I asked anyone here is santa claus real?

  • religion vs atheism? who's gonna win?

  • atheism will...you have no idea the racial hatred i face...from religious folk...glad they are dying

  • If you aren't kidding about them dying, you really need a reality check. Really, I feel bad for the people that hate other religions/non-religions. They are brainwashed.

  • Hopefully reason triumphs.

  • I don't think atheism or religion is going to win. Religion is simply going to get drowned out. REASON will win. As long as atheists adhere to reason, they will stand the test of time and religion will simply die out.

  • Actually, i believe religion wins, there are many more religious people, and they are fanatic and sometimes suicidal to accomplish their goals, and will do everything to squish and hate minorities, and atheists simply try to practice logic, not to go around hating people for believing fairy tales.

  • I believe the rational will ultimately overcome the irrational, just as science has triumphed over religion. In many European countries there are more atheists than people who believe in personal God already.

Just because you're an atheist doesn't mean you can't have faith in humanity.

  • Religion will not die silently, many people will die from war and famine caused by religion before it happens.

  • will atheists resist a religous armed agression or just sit on the intellectual sidelines with hands folded? I know I'll be hard pressed to participate in any violence

  • @stiaa04 It all comes down to sticking up for what you beleave i will take up arms againist Christians if they feel like forcing people to take up christian belief sure will.

  • problem is it kind of feels like attacking a hornets nest with a bat if I direct forceful measures are used. However if you are going to be stung anyway doing nothing feels bad too. I'm kinda more leaning towards some major discovery of the opposite of indoctrinatioin. Solving a complex problem might require a complex solution.
