Ron Paul wants the mosque to be build at ground zero.
As a immigration-critical person and a person who is critical against political and extreme Islam I don't want that. It would be very disrespectful to those who died to build a mosque.
Muslim extremist would take it as a victory against America and as a sign of their victory.
I'm not a racist, nor do I think of all Muslims as the same, but you must be allowed to criticise Islam and extreme Muslims.
I'm not a religious person but because he is a christian the radical atheists say he is a crazy fundamentilist.
The same sort of zealotry that the radical atheists accuse christians of applying!
He upholds the constitution and bill of rights that give you the freedom to express and be who you are and what you think however unpopular other people think that is.
Ron Paul is a strange one. On one hand he supports a lot of issues that I consider important, while on the other he's against issues I consider important. He shouldn't let his religious values get in the way of his political views.
But between him and the "stay the course" alternatives that is driving America into war after war, spending their economy into oblivion and turning America into a police state. Between them and him, it's possible (though difficult) to look past my issues with him.
How sad that we live in an age in which there exist in public office a small enough amount of people to count on one hand who proclaim the supremacy of individual liberty and focus on it as the number one issue. I often wonder if Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich would, in the event of the permanent squelching of the Iranian hobgoblin, finally turn their primary focus to the preservation of individual liberty. My guess is no. They have a self-imposed mission to socially engineer us all
@richardcadbury Actually he said it would be up to the states to decide this matter. A lot of Americans are not as slutty as us Brits. Completely different culture in a lot of states.
Hey UKIP, I'm just curious, where do you guys stand on drug legalization in the UK? I've read some of your policies, like your immigration and EU policies (which I love), but I missed many social ones you had. I only ask about drug legalization because that's the most well-known social issue (not criminal, in my opinion). And how about marriage? Do you guys think the state should be involved?
I already love your party, and if I move to the UK, I'm definitely joining. I live in the US right now.
It amazes me that the US is becoming a domestic dictatorship, economically and socially, and yet its officials have the gall to tell the rest of the world how to run itself, whilst insisting its devalued currency remain the reserve of the world. Ron Paul is about the only person who truly speaks out against this in their political system.
Shouldnt you be concentrating on whats happening in the UK. I am moving to the USA if Paul becomes president becuase the UK is a LOST CAUSE WE HAVE NO ONE
