The bubbles aren't from spraying the device. If they squeegee all the solution out, it wouldn't matter only affect how long it takes to dry. It peeling in the corner or edges is from putting it your pocket or case- that may cause it peel up before it is completely dried (which takes 24+ hours).
I bought my zagg for $16.99 with free shipping from Amazon. I Installed it myself its pretty easy to install, you just need to take your time.. the good thing is if you screw up you can always redo it...
They obviously dk what the fuck they're doing...next time take it to the apple store or apply it yourself...it isn't hard to do. The solution is to be sprayed ONLY on your fingertips and on the shield itself.
I bought mine from Carphone Warehouse and they sprayed my HTC Sensation XE as well as the Invisible Shield. Unlike your experience, mine has been done to PERFECTION! So what's going on with you I don't know.
I understand u not being happy about it, but People are starving in this world and you're "going through hell" cuz the cover on ur iPhone is bubbling up..
I got this from a best buy and had it installed as well. They sprayed the shit out of my phone and the skin as well, but I don't notice any solution coming out or anything like that. The only complaint is that there's still solution under the shield, as if it's moist on the underside. How do I fix this?
Hey I just purchased a HTC Sensation shield from Zagg, and will definitely do the installation myself after watching this video. I didn't even know they had an installation team at bestbuy because I ordered my zagg from ebay.
Didn't let myn dry for 24hrs but I have defender otter box and I punched thr protective screen out and hr left over glue solution lifted my screen ffs so I gotta get it replCrd god damn otter box
I was considering getting some type of shield on my new Ipod Touch, but don't think I will. From reviews I've read, they don't look that great and I don't want to worry about install issues, peeling or bubbling. BTW, why can't people make comments without profanity?? I've seen the "F" word about 25 times here. You just lose credibility, sound like an idiot, ghetto, or still in high school. Or, maybe all 3!
And furthermore, there apparently is nothing wrong with your speaker at all...you just took a call and heard the caller JUST FINE! Heck, WE can hear him on the video!
There is no way to install these without thoroughly wetting everything involved. Even if you don't directly wet the phone, you have to get the film being applied soaking wet, and therefore the device gets very wet anyway. The reason ZAGG says to not spray directly on device is because you shouldn't spray directly into an opening. Spraying the device lightly doesn't hurt, and these things are wicked hard to do well when wet, and IMPOSSIBLE to do dry.
Guess what everyone i work for invisible shield and ive installed shields for two years....... we do spray the devices and they are perfectly fine...... best buy just hasnt been trained to install....... take it to an invisible shield kiosk and get it done fast, right, and without damage!!!! but it is ok to lightly spray the device it will be perfectly fine..... also you dont even have to turn off the device..... get it done right..... at a kiosk
@whydoyouwannanoe i've been using zagg shields for 2 years too... and i've never had to spray the phone or the ipod, always the shield... and i was extra careful when taking the excess fluid out... Apple has moisture detectors that void the warranty of the phone at the bottom where the mic is, and they are sensitive enough that they will be void if you leave the phone in the bathroom while taking a long hot shower... spraying the bottom of the phone will almost for sure screw your warranty.

how many zagg shields have you put on? we do it every day for customers just like you who cant do anything for themselves.... you are a dumbass....ive put over 150 on myself since working in the mobile department and i havent had one returned complaining like you.... if you dont freaking pick at the corner then its fine... and yes i spray the device remember you came to us cause you couldnt do it yourself.....
@SolidroK22...dude, wanna lose ur job? delete this comment. ur defending ur job in a pretty dumb way.
yeah i've never had any problems with zagg and they spray my device as well. the thing is, you arent supposed to really even touch the screen for 24 hours. do what u have to, but dont but a cover on, and dont mess with it for a whole day.
Had the SAME THING happen in Grand Rapids, MI. I had my Zagg installed, and three days later I did scratch it. When I returned to the store, I wated in line for 30 minutes before I was asked to come back another time to redo the install. WHAT? FUCK BEST BUY.
I don't understand why you haven't installed this yourself rather than Best Buy? It only takes minutes for a proper installation if you follow the right directions. You spray both sides of the film after giving your fingertips a good washing, *not* the device (as in the instructions). Also clean screen with anti-static microfibre cloth before. Squeegee carefully out from the inside away from any vents (also as stated in instructions). Do not use phone after - leave for 12 hours for film to cure.
I suggest not using the liquid at all,it sucks I trusted their product I gotta call them n the moring and find out what's up about the liquid the bottom line it shouldn't be included if it can mess up phone I should have been warned of it!!
i had my iphone and i wanted to do this to mine my iphone is custom like it has a back red housing its all new good working should i do this or will it mess up my phone ? i do not want any liquid in my iphone 3g .
Yes except I don't know if the solution invisible shield uses is actually baby shampo and water, gonna call them 2marrow if it is i'm gonna be pissed I was told at radio shack the solution don't harm phone, they supposed 2 have that info on the package, didn't see no warnings!
I was told that there is a such thing as solution spray actually made to prevent moister damage I wonder is it the same solution zagg has for their shields????
Zagg is a bs company for having the stupid liquid n the 1st place,on the bottom of the instructions they even talked about using water wtf!! what ever happened to body cloves and leater cases??? I fallow their stupid instructions now i'm coming across information like this!
**Part 3 They never once sprayed the phone directly..she soaked the fucking phone and left it in the dryer for 10 mins. once it came out she told me "no pockets or cases for at least 24 hours..when I walked away my phone was leaking that liquid like crazy.. I don't think I will have another phone done by them again but I do think the shield is great but I will apply it myself in the future
**Part 2 So now it's my turn to get my phone done and I asked the girl what kind of training do they have to go through to do the shields and she said that Zagg has a class that they have to complete before working in a store, she started spraying the shit out of my phone with the solution too and i told her that thats not what there video shows from the company, they even have at least a 40+ inch TV showing them being applied and I told her to watch the video and see if they spray the phone
**Part 1 Glad I came across this video, I have a BlackBerry that I just purchased from T-Mobile and inside the mall there is a Zagg Retailer that does the shields and I was watching the girl doing someones iphone and she was spraying the shit out of it too. so once she installed the shield they have a dryer they put it under for like 5 mins and it didn't dawn on me that the reason for the dryer is to dry up the solution thats soaked inside the phone..be careful people
Hey people I was gonna buy that same thng at bb in Portland Oregon but now I'm just thinking of going to the kiosks in blackened town center thanks dude for the vid I have an I touch four and I just got it one Fay ago
I agree people at best buy are fools. Asking the guy at best buy, what if you mess up and he answer all cocky, I won't. He replied with this 3 times, I said look dude your human you may make a mistake, "What do you do? He says well I have messed up one or two but corrected the problem right after. I agree with saying they think there smarter, ha it's fucking best buy, get a real job. Anyways people at most retail stores are idiots just like every other person. I've done mine myself everytime a
Dude... you have to spray them, I install mine myself, and mine is perfect... you need to shut up fool.... you have no clue what the hell you are doing.... MORON!!!
I HATE BEST BUY... but in this case, there correct!!!
I work for best buy, if you know more about doing the installation or are better at doing it. Why dont you do it yourself? Dont go bad mouthing an entire company with stores around the globe because 3 or 4 people (in your opinion) did an installation wrong. My wife used to work in Mobile, she used the solution when she applied the invisishield to my phone. The solution is not going ot short your phone.. Ive had my phone for almost 2 years and my shield is perfect along with my phone!
I work at best buy and the solution drys and does not affect the phone.. never had a problem with anyone. and you need to not touch it for a couple hours til its dried.
and yes I'm gonna go ahead and say Zagg is dumb because it does NOT effect the phone. if your speaker is broken.. its because you have a defective phone.
You just didnt wait the proper amount of time either to use your phone, thats why it bubbled.
my iPad was left with a layer of liquid under the invisible shield, i contacted a Zaag representtative and he said that this is not normal. So if you are even remotly considering on buying it i would say buy the invisible shield just DON'T get it installed at bestbuy that geek squad doesn't know shit
It says right in the instructions to remove the battery and not put it back in or turn the phone on within 24hrs. I'am assuming to allow the solution to dry.
WTF I wish I saw this video sooner, BB charged $12.99 Yesterday to install the zagg on my iPhone 4 & I think they fucked up my iPhone, there is this line that comes half down the screen under the zagg don't notices on dark areas but watching video or on lighter surface u can see the line. it flickers during video. Think they fucked up my phone. Might upload a video of it
there is noo reason to down BBYM due to an encounter with a group of inferior sales reps who arent aware of what they are doing. ive been working in BBYM for about 3 months now and a few days ago we just started seeling ipads. becuase we are a smaller.. newer store, we got them late. but i have done the shield install for many of those and i have personally had a customer tell me i did a better install than the zagg company in knoxville
and yeah do not let best buy install it. always go to a ZAGG invisible shield kiosk in your local mall... its well worth the 5$ install.. it depends on the install. its supposed to be smooth and not bubbled. its not the product you hate, its the install...
just so you know. you can spray the device, but you dont need to spray it much, just lightly misted thats all... i work at one and install hundreds on a busy day... it doesnt hurt anything at all as long as you dont get it into any of the ports or openings...
You see, here is a perfect example of a Best Buy Mobile employee, CBnTT0822, who despite the directions, and warning from ZAGG admits to spraying the device! Also, notice the way he words this comment, proving that he has a very limited vocabulary and hates gays. Any thought of using Best Buy Mobile just went out the window thanks to CBnTT. With customer service (If you can even call it that) like him, you (the paying customer) will NEVER be right. ;)
first of all..you are one of the biggest faggots i know...and thank you ulosecuziplay cuz thats exactly right. i happend to work at best buy mobile and its one thing if you run into people that arnt good at putting it on but i havnt had one problem putting these on and ive put a ton of them on. and i DO spray the device it makes it easier to move the sheild when its on. so stfu you are stupid..go complain about something else

before i bought this product i always look up youtube vids for consumer feedback and i also went to best buy in canada toronto ontario and they said they would install it for $10 as well am like hell no after i saw your vid.
To the comment below am going have to look into the zagg invisable DRY SHIELD
I had my previous phone done at the mall and the guy there installed it perfectly. Even though the installation was by far more complicated, it had a lot more small and thin pieces. It lasted for nearly 2 years before it started showing any signs of wear and tear, which I'm pretty sure it had to do more with the shield than the installation itself.
I had a similar experience with BestBuy, except they've charged me 14.99 for the install and the shield came off in under 3 weeks. The gal that installed it looked like she had no clue what she was doing, she ran through the whole bottle of spray before she installed the first part, and placed and re-placed the shield several times before she got it 'right'. When I asked them about the warranty they told me to contact ZAGG directly. That was likely the last service I will ever get from them.
First off... It's $4.99, get a life a cry about something that is actually a REAL problem.
Secondly, how bout you bitch more about you being lazy instead of how a store caused a problem that you were too incompetent to take care of yourself.
It's ridiculous how people like you complain about absolutely everything. Zagg has to say do not spray the device for liability purposes.. YOUR phone is not their PROPERTY. So, they cannot allow people to spray their phones with the solution.
I like this guy. A good honest review with just the correct amount of swearing. Plus, he is absolutely correct. Do it yourself. Best buy and the Geek Squad could give a flying fuck about your nice shiny new iPhone, or Droid or whatever device that you waited for and paid a lot of money for. They look at it as just the next item in a ever growing line of devices that they have to get done by the end of the work day.
The ZAGG shields are the best but it is impossible to actually install them properly without spraying your device. Best Buy just lightly sprays the front of you device and was probably just pissed off at you for bringing it in like 3 times lol
You sound like Bush. As someone who works at Best Buy Mobile I would love to see you install a shield without wetting the phone. I have installed hundreds of these and have never had a single issue with speakers or volume buttons not working. They bubble if you put them in your pocket before they dry fully, which is the shield not the installation process. The iPhone bubbles by the home button since it is pressed often. Also the product, not the installation. Zagg usually replaces the shields.
ygo2slow, I found this vid very informative. Ive got an iphone and purchased a an invisible shield off of ebay and fitted it myself. Took me a few goes to get it right but I got there in the end.But if what happened to you, happened to me, I would have gone back in the shop and played fuck with them. You paid $5 to have the shield "proffesionally" fitted and they fucked up. They should have fitted it properly the first time. I hope its ok now mate, Cheers, Colin
You people are retarted, after they did it wrong the first time why would u keep going back!!!! The product comes with instructions on how to install the shield yourself, so before u go complaining abvout someone messing up your phone, then do it your damn self. If youre smart enough to upload a video to youtube but not istall a simple zagg shield that comes with everything you need in the package....spells LOSER to me, so get a life, and stop wasting our time with this useless bs!!!
I believe everything you said here.. obviously the people oposing any of this are likely not understanding or listening to the details you shared.. looks like Best Buys owes you a new phone.. they didnt obide by the directions on the product they sold.. right on the box. I've had really good luck with Best Buy.. I'm sorry this happened to you. thanks for sharing.
I couldn't agree with you more. Best Buy tried 3 times to apply this product to my new Nexus One. 1st time I waited 24 hours. 2nd time 3 days, and 3rd time 4 days and still the "rainbow" streak from their squeegee remained. I too went to 2 stores. I had them remove it and refund my money. I'm told the ZAGG kiosk in the mall will do it correctly.
I sprayed the shield itself, not the phone which worked. The key is to line it up right the first time so you don't have to peel it off and re-apply while still wet.
I just finished installing my invisible shield myself, i also bought this at best buy, although i didn't do the greatest job at installing it, the end result was solid. Thank God i took the time (hour and a half) to do it myself.

Don't buy thus shit! No matter who installs it! It put spots on my dads brand new iPhone 4! Invisibleshield is a hassle and expensive. It's 17$ just for 1 screen protector!!!
You must wait 2-3 days to let your zagg shield dry and press to the shield. You did not do this. That's why you have bubbles and peeling.
Best Buy has a customer service number for you to call if you have any complaints.
Also you're little display of in-affection towards Best Buy Mobile at the end was not needed. If you would have preferred to buy your phone at a higher cost, dealing with rebates, and the headaches of commissioned based sales...you should have gone else where.
You might want to put it in a case while it is drying... a silicon case, you shouldn't have to but I guess you could give it a try. And if you have solution coming out next time turn the device off. I'm sorry for what happened, that sucks.
@thestone11 Shut the fuck up do u have an iPhone and if u do. Do u have zagg the answer is likey no I put the zagg on my iPhone. And left the iPhone on . I funking hate bitches that think they know every funking piece of shit. Bithbitchbitch
Their really not more experienced than the people that just buy them. The only experience they have is fucking up peoples iPhone and that they really just don't care because they get paid for labor no matter what.
Mine is working perfectly fine ygo2slow......i don't know what they did to your phone, but I did it myself. You do have to wait 12 to 24 hours for it to dry out. Phone works fine. You didn't even have to pay for installation to do it.....unless you're just lazy and impatient. Just saying......
man that sucks, I had two phones done a Best Buy a couple of days ago and they never sprayed the phone, and they turned out perfect. I guess it depends on the person intalling them. they also stated if there are any problems (like your having) to bring it in and they will replace it for free.
NOTE: for anyone with the corner peel problem, *VERY DELICATELY* take a razor blade (preferably new with with no rut or imperfections in the blade) and lightly cut before the peel to clean it up.
funny thing is i installed it on my i pod though 2g as soon as i got it. I have never done tinting, or anything like it (its technically tint). It was difficult with the curves but other wise i sprayed the shield NOT THE DEVICE and its perfect except for corners slowly peeling. Its been a over a year and its still on, you dont need a ton of spray what so ever, just patience period, DO NOT RUSH OR GET LAZY. AKA trust bestbuy.
could you sit on the phone and not break it because im thinking of taking my brand new iphone to sixflgs and wearing it in my back pocket and when you u ride a ride you have to sit on the seat so im scared i might break it.?!

in the mail I get a letter from verizon saying that I owe 300 dollars for early service termination! I FLIPPED OUT! I called the cops I called a lawyer I called managers all over and it turns out..THEY CANT EVEN CHECK WHEN YOUR CONTRACT IS UP!!!!! So, I begged them just to give me 300 dollars to pay the early termination bill and they wouldnt. So i sued best buy. In the end they paid the money, But I went through hell to get it. What Im trying to say is BEST BUY SUCKS! THEY S U C K! S U C K !
Dude Best Buy is trash! I would flip out and say like I want a new iPhone 3G. But listen to this bro, I had Verizon service, and I was shopping around at Best Buy and I was looking at phones, and the guy at bestbuy asks me would you like any help? I said no because I don't know when my contract is up with verizon. She says oh I can check that for you, So she did, and apparently the contract was up. so we bought new phones and transferred our service to at&t. Well about 2 weeks later, in the
lls, 2slow good video, and its a pain in the ass to install it urself but i want to buy it for the htc evo thats coming out and i know if i install it ill fuck that shit up
Why don't you just install the shield yourself?!?! And it is true what your saying about not spraying the device. Your supposed to spray it indirectly and not at the buttons or anything.
damn ygo2slow this sucks man, but ima still go buy mine from best buy and install it. but, ima make a video review of my phone before i do to show that everything is functioning and if they say it broke before they tried to install it, BAM!! show them the video haha, but thanks though man for putting this video up and making me think twice.
I work at best buy mobile. Sorry to hear about your experience. Yes, the consumer packaging says do not spray phone. After doing probably a dozen or two a day for the last two years i found if you wanted it installed properly, you have to spray(properly) and can do it without coming close to hurting the phone: It just sounds like that store you visited is untrained. But one question, how many have you installed?
I sent my iPhone 3gs to ZAGG to do the install. For the full body install was $10. The end result was perfect. Also, doing a self install can be a little difficult if you want a perfect result. Don't have Best Buy install it, instead have the people that make the product install it.
What spray solution? It was probably the chicken wing sauce.
memoykaren9089 6 days ago
1) who the fuck picks up their phone and puts that in the YouTube video. LMFAO!!!!!
2) If you know how to install it, fucking do it yourself.
3) This argument holds no weight because your video is far to long with repetitive points.
4) If your device shits the bed or is damaged because of the installation they give you another one.
5) If you go to a ZAGG kiosk in a mall or somewhere, they also "spoak the shit out of it".
FUCKING DUMBASS!!!!!

**Part 3 They never once sprayed the phone directly..she soaked the fucking phone and left it in the dryer for 10 mins. once it came out she told me "no pockets or cases for at least 24 hours..when I walked away my phone was leaking that liquid like crazy.. I don't think I will have another phone done by them again but I do think the shield is great but I will apply it myself in the future
youngdete 1 year ago
**Part 2 So now it's my turn to get my phone done and I asked the girl what kind of training do they have to go through to do the shields and she said that Zagg has a class that they have to complete before working in a store, she started spraying the shit out of my phone with the solution too and i told her that thats not what there video shows from the company, they even have at least a 40+ inch TV showing them being applied and I told her to watch the video and see if they spray the phone
youngdete 1 year ago
**Part 1 Glad I came across this video, I have a BlackBerry that I just purchased from T-Mobile and inside the mall there is a Zagg Retailer that does the shields and I was watching the girl doing someones iphone and she was spraying the shit out of it too. so once she installed the shield they have a dryer they put it under for like 5 mins and it didn't dawn on me that the reason for the dryer is to dry up the solution thats soaked inside the phone..be careful people

You just didnt wait the proper amount of time either to use your phone, thats why it bubbled.

and yeah do not let best buy install it. always go to a ZAGG invisible shield kiosk in your local mall... its well worth the 5$ install.. it depends on the install. its supposed to be smooth and not bubbled. its not the product you hate, its the install...
sublimemach 1 year ago
just so you know. you can spray the device, but you dont need to spray it much, just lightly misted thats all... i work at one and install hundreds on a busy day... it doesnt hurt anything at all as long as you dont get it into any of the ports or openings...
sublimemach 1 year ago
You see, here is a perfect example of a Best Buy Mobile employee, CBnTT0822, who despite the directions, and warning from ZAGG admits to spraying the device! Also, notice the way he words this comment, proving that he has a very limited vocabulary and hates gays. Any thought of using Best Buy Mobile just went out the window thanks to CBnTT. With customer service (If you can even call it that) like him, you (the paying customer) will NEVER be right. ;)

Defuf 1 year ago

This is why you need to get educated people. Don't drop out of high school and keep in mind how important common sense is.
ulosecuziplay 1 year ago
Hey bro,
First off...
So, they cannot allow people to spray their phones with the solution.
ulosecuziplay 1 year ago
I like this guy. A good honest review with just the correct amount of swearing. Plus, he is absolutely correct. Do it yourself. Best buy and the Geek Squad could give a flying fuck about your nice shiny new iPhone, or Droid or whatever device that you waited for and paid a lot of money for. They look at it as just the next item in a ever growing line of devices that they have to get done by the end of the work day.
frank2398 1 year ago
There is now a Zagg DRY Shield (wonder why?) you don't have to spray your device at all. I highly recommend going that route.
ygo2slow 1 year ago
id have just started the video again, Best Buy sounds like a set of fucking retards
ImKyserSoze 1 year ago
The ZAGG shields are the best but it is impossible to actually install them properly without spraying your device. Best Buy just lightly sprays the front of you device and was probably just pissed off at you for bringing it in like 3 times lol
TheBigWill91 1 year ago
You sound like Bush. As someone who works at Best Buy Mobile I would love to see you install a shield without wetting the phone. I have installed hundreds of these and have never had a single issue with speakers or volume buttons not working. They bubble if you put them in your pocket before they dry fully, which is the shield not the installation process. The iPhone bubbles by the home button since it is pressed often. Also the product, not the installation. Zagg usually replaces the shields.
voler45 1 year ago
ygo2slow, I found this vid very informative.
TudorBlue 1 year ago
You people are retarted, after they did it wrong the first time why would u keep going back!!!! The product comes with instructions on how to install the shield yourself, so before u go complaining abvout someone messing up your phone, then do it your damn self.

BobbyRoyale 1 year ago
You might want to put it in a case while it is drying... a silicon case, you shouldn't have to but I guess you could give it a try. And if you have solution coming out next time turn the device off. I'm sorry for what happened, that sucks.

After doing probably a dozen or two a day for the last two years i found if you wanted it installed properly, you have to spray(properly) and can do it without coming close to hurting the phone: It just sounds like that store you visited is untrained.
