it was not a dream, everything that happened to Tomoya was real, remember on the second season they explained that when people achieved true happiness then balls of light appeared and if you found one your wish would come true. when Ushi was about to die Tomoya lied to her saying they were in the field, and at that moment Ushi reached true happiness and the ball was created, and Tomoya unknowingly used the ball to wish that he could go back in time where Nagisa didn't die and Ushi never got sick

@Cloudbreey It wasn't a dream, there was an old Folktale that if you get ahold of the orb of light during true happiness then you get a wish. When Tomoya got that light when confronting his father he was granted one wish. He wished he and Nagisa had never met so her passing wouldnt be true, he was taken to the time he had met her but still called out to her, Nagisa said she was glad he called out to her. After that he awoke 5 years earlier to when she was giving birth and she had survived.

Thank goodness for Netflix instant queue! That's how I came across this. I'm almost finished with the first volume on my Wii. It's such a relaxing, yet deeply moving show. And the big dongo family! Gotta love them! ^_^
