I've never seen it from that lower angle before. You can really tell how far behind the backboard the ball bounced. Truly incredible. How is this behind Jordan's hand switch?
I say we stop giving the rich money like athlelte, movie stars, and look for money of our own and let them make money other ways.they don't need anymore money
@BrickGrease Yes, we've all seen Bill Murray say that in Space Jam or whatever that movie is...is that going to be repeated in all of Larry's videos? Please say no.
@Flipper79able No, I'm not a troll, or whatever y'all call em who run around to different videos and say the same thing, I'm actually a big fan of Larry Bird who can joke out of respect
And the Musberger "greatness is all about" quote at the end is not from this game- inserted from the Hawks/Celtics game where he duels Nique- but true in this moment as well.
@BIGEAWBREY5 I swear they use that quote in like half of these videos to take about a bunch of different players. But it really can only be applied to a very select few.
Have you ever tried this at home? This move is physically impossible even if used by your strong hand side, as Bird mainly uses his "weaker", if you can call it that, left- I have never seen anybody in any context pull off this kind of shot- Bird was much more athletic than people realize; you tube "larry bird the best ever" and see how athletic his stuff is.
can't belive that one of the greatest and most memorial shots in nba history made it only to 57.. if you think of bird this impossible move and the steal against the pistons comes to your mind.
Funny how more guys back then used to cover up with just towels instead of shirts or warmups...it makes for great entertainment when you see how the bench reacts. You don't see much towel action these days. LOL!!!
This isn't the least bit surprising since the shooter of a basketball very commonly knows where the miss is headed. This is also why players from a young age are taught (but often fail to) box out the shooter even on long jumpers.
Kids these days often disregard Bird because he wasn't a high-fly act, but that dude was deadly. His shot was nearly unblockable because he held it high and almost behind his head. His basketball IQ was pure genius & he ALWAYS played hard.
Thats intense man.

Great move, unlike Jordan's unnecessary hand switch in the Finals against the Lakers.

Iverson did that same thing in the 2000 All-star game too, it was off a pass from VC though, not his own rebound. Awesome stuff still.

that was a great shot by AI...but bird did this shot in the finals...
