Yeah I hate the way Williams is like treated by Wilson and the rest of the brass. He comes in, scored a crap load of goals gets injured comes back for 1 game, doesn't score and gets sent down... You can't really expect anyone to come back from an injury and go right back into their usual routine...
Nice vid, the Obama impression was pretty good I thought.
Any way, about that Reading Week thing, I don't know if all of the University/Colleges did this for the same reason but I do know that at the U of A they've nicknamed Reading Week Suicide Prevention Week. Apparently they used to have astronomical suicide rates just around and after midterms, so they put a week-long break in to give the students some rest and it has worked like a charm.
we have ANOTHER Friday the 13th next month too...O_O spoooky.... even spookier when u realize Mats is coming back to Toronto to play against us in between now and then.... Its the curse of Sundin!!!
Haha, my most famous Maple Leafs Garden memory is 4 tull boxes of Hockey Cards. Ok Dangle man! (I know it's a cheap one Steve but I think that I am influenced by the guy with a side head cap hat . Do we say side cap hat head , cap side head hat, hat side cap head, head side cap hat, sad head cap hat, sad head hat, sad cat ahead, anyway.) Vid was excellent keep up the good work.
Hmm, I gotta say my favourite ACC memory offhand is a thriller 3-2 win over Montreal a few years back. Man the atmosphere was incredible!
As for the Gardens... I too was only around 11 or 12 when it was closed down, so I'm kind of stretching my memory, but I did goto several games, each of them wins, and it was absolutely incredible getting to see Wendel Clark, Potvin, and Gilmour all out there playing their hearts out.
This year was the first time they lost a game at home I went to..
I live in Montreal, but my only memory of the Gardens is when I went to Toronto when I was about 6, I went to the boutique with my family and got some Leaf gear! Man, I would appreciate that so much more today.
Wow...i am babysitting this 3 year old kid now and I was watching your video and he said "Wow..that guy scary..he gots no friends!" obviously thats not true!!
goin with my dad to see the leafs play detroit when i was a kid in the gardens. felix was in net and i remeber the the jumbotron show the cartoon felix jumpin around after a big save
gota say Stempniak, not really doing it for me and not to get on his back for the giveaway last night but his general play over the last few games is not up to it. now my next point is going to piss a few people off but schenn is -10 and only 6 points and i know he's young but i was hopping for a bit more maybe i'm wanting too much (but our d is shit). cujo should get the next start, his performance took me back a few years, i was looking for McCauley, domi and thomas on the team sheet.
Zomg, my fav MLG memory was my only Leaf game ever. I was 6 at the time, we had gold seats, in one of the corners. They were playing the Flames and won 2-1. Theo Fleury was one of my fav players at the time and I remember seeing him. It was just fantastic. I am so happy that I went to a Leaf game at MLG before it closed.
Anyway, Cujo does earn the start next game. Toskala responded for one game to getting called out, maybe he'll respond more long term when he realizes that he can be benched.
Anyway, I can't wait for Draft Day, to see what Burke's going to do.
In the same way that Frogren looks like the old #24 at times, Stapleton looks like the old #42. But I would like to see him get a shot with the Leafs, I've seen some pretty good highlights from when he played for Jokerit.
Ya I am kinda young for the Garden Memory, since I was... 11 also... altho when I was 12 I went through the Maple Leafs garden on a tour! That was the first time I was interested in hockey! So maybe that's a best memory.. but not really...
the only things you need to say for an obama impression are "change" and "yes we can". my favourite mlg moment is winning our last cup there, even though i WASN'T EVEN BORN FOR THAT!!! happy friday the 13th?
Greatest Gardens memory was my special behind the scenes tour during a game night. Fantasic!! Also, being in attendance for a game in the TML-STL series.
I miss the atmosphere of being in the "grey" seats with that dancing fool that used to run up n down the stairs.
best acc memory was the 2002 playoff run caped off with mats goal in game 6 with like 10 seconds left to send the game into OT, keeping the leafs alive against carolina. My worst memory was to come shortly after.
Toskala looked like Carey Price...maybe not that bad, but close.
Nice Obama impression, I thought you nailed it.
Did you know that Bob Probert scored the last goal in the Gardens...I liked it when arenas just had names...favorite memory, watching the Leafs beat the Sharks in the playoffs.
Hey Steve, I just wanted to say that I have watched all your videos since day 1.. thats right im a SeveDangle Lifer lol Im optimistic that Burke will create alot of change in Leafland but if people are hopin for a playoff contender next year or maybe even the year after, you may be very dissapointed. Oh and im pretty sure you said Tampa Bay "Nightning" at the start of this video lol not to make fun of you or anything, i just laughed a bit when you said it. Thanks Steve, Cheers
i think team defence will be ur valentine this year steve lol

Great Obama impression.
Thinking of it. Last year, didn't the Leafs lose 1-0 before Valentines Day? Can't say there was no defence in that game.
CuJo was playing like he did 7 years ago.
Good to see Stempniak back on the scoresheet. He plays well with Moore and Blake.
Hopefully Burke can top the Jermaine O'Neal trade today..
