I see this error so much as a college instructor. I also see the word "defiantly" used mistakenly in place of "definitely" a lot.

Another one that people don't know how to use:
or=a choice
are=to be
our=belongs to us
hour=time of day

@awkwardBAMFx first one is correct, second one is FALSE, and third is debatable. ;D

The 1 that REALLY gets me is people switching the spellings of "loose" & "lose." Really people? Really?
Loose = not tight.
Lose = to have lost.
Stop doing it wrong. =.=

@ShadeC4 unfortunately I get that one wrong a lot. NOBODY'S PERFECT! I GOTTA WORK IT! AGAIN AND AGAIN 'TILL I GET IT RIGHT!
@ZacharyZips Least you're putting actual effort in. :3 Too many people don't.
@ShadeC4 :D
Another misuse of words is "their" there" and "they're.
Their=possessive. "Their house is a mess."
There=place. "Their house is over there."
They're=contraction of "They are." "They're in their house over there."
No charge for the English lesson. So there.
