I can't think of a bad character in the show. The writing is so phenomenally good and it is played so convincingly, and the camera work is so dynamic, this is what TV was invented for. This is very much worth wathing
What? Josh and Sam are equally awesome! Sam didn't get as much character development because he left, but then, the extra character development Josh got was from the lousy 5-7 seasons...so that cancels it out for me. I like them both the same...they're like brothers--how can you choose? And they were both pretty cocky, although Sam was more stuck-up while Josh was more obnoxious...both are very endearing in their own way :)
Big WW fan here. I wouldn't say seasons 5-7 were LOUSY. The WW did lose its "sizzle" by then, but was still watchable. Brad Whitford (Josh), definitely carried the last 2 seasons as he ran the Santos campaign. Not a big Rob Lowe fan as Sam. Lowe spoke too fast and too low for me. Hard to understand at times. Lowe was upset since season 1. He was supposed to be the main character with Sheen as president appearing in only a few episodes. Instead they went with Sheen as the main character.
Dude, no offense, but I despise everyone who doesn't like Sam, purely on principle. I mean seriously "talked too fast"? That's...uhh...what Sam does. The way Toby talks loudly and CJ talks dryly. So if you don't like him because of that...whoops. Wrong show. That being said, I don't think he was upset until season 3 or so -- he did a whole lot of work to promote and support the show in the earlier 2 seasons.
omg I love this show, after watching it for the first time in my AP Poli Sci class, I rented season 1-7 on DVD and watched it all summer. LOVE IT!!!!!!!! To bad it only went through 7 seasons
'Did you see his face?' Who's face is Sam talking about? The President?

Is this the one where Mendoza gets nominated instead?
Bartlet's nominated three Supreme Court justices during his 2 terms, which is pretty impressive :P

@leemingoo0311 This is true, though 2 of those 3 were that special cat-swapping case

@leemingoo0311 Obama has nominated two Supreme Court justices in his first 19 months....Also pretty impressive.

@leemingoo0311 Mendoza becomes the replacement nominee. This episode was about Harrison being their initial nominee.

Personally I think Josh is the best character in terms of character development, too.
loveangelmusicbaby28 2 years ago 4
Definately, he is the one who could arguably be the central character of the show.....

Josh is great but he definitely has a little girl in him. The way he celebrates when he first gets off the phone makes me a little nervous! :o)

Yeah but Josh has that girlish clapping thing when he says "Call toby, call sam, call leo." It was just that 14 year old girl exitement.
