  • how do u drive a million miles in like 30 maybe 40 year....crazy

  • i declare shananagans i bet its never pulled anything and maybe 4 thou are highway

  • @cutyepie2271 so what if it's never pulled anything, or there are highway miles? that isn't the point and has nothing to do with this video...

  • @cutyepie2271 and did he say he pulled anything whats your point if its highway miles he didnt say he drives his truck like a madman hes old what do you expect him to do burnouts and blow his tranny every year SAME AIR FILTER 1 MILLION MILES ... thats all this video has to say the air filter lasts forever the chevy not so much

  • A gas engine......made it 1,000,000 miles....really. Apparently I'm some sort of fucking retard. I call bullshit.

  • @sjjdiienno1 where in this video did he say it was the same motor he probably got at least 2 overhauls in that time and why not if a motor last 300k then why not replace it

  • we had an 80s nova that went over 1 million miles, the tranni was rebuilt twice the motor ran perfectly.

  • In my book K&N filters are just plain SH**.

  • So how many mass air flow sensors did he have to replace in those million miles because the oil from these craptastic filters ruined them?

  • @TheDustikus He actually had the original MAF sensor still on the vehicle. And our oil does not damage any sensors at all. We have done much testing to prove this with outside forensic labs, and they are available to see here on YouTube and our website. Any test to prove opposite?

  • @KNfilters Not really tests per say, but the dozen or so vehicles I've had to replace the MAF on due to crap buildup on the sensor is proof enough for me. One of which was a 2003 or so Ford Expedition that the MAF went out on 3 times before the customer finally listened to me and put in a paper element filter, haven't had a problem since. You say your oil doesn't damage sensors, well I don't think a MAF really cares if it's K&N oil or cake frosting, it'll go bad regardless.

  • @TheDustikus I've had K&N air filters on all of my vehicles. It's the first thing I do to any car that I buy. I've never had an issue. The only way someone could burn up a MAF is if they completely soak the filter in the oil AND don't allow the filter to dry. I've been an automotive technician for nearly 10 years and I have never replaced a MAF due to a name brand cotton filter. I have however replaced several that had the brand the local parts store sales for $15. You get what you pay for.

  • @KNfilters I have CLS500 USING K&N FILTERS after I am very satisfied with this filter gas paddle response is much better my car just breath better and I can feel it I love my car

  • @TheDustikus If you ruin your MAF with oil from the filter then you haven't oiled it correctly. Follow the instructions and it won't happen. Been using K&N for 4 years now and still no MAF problems.

  • @TheDustikus so im guessing you have never used a k&n in your life

  • @uploaded113redone used to...

  • @TheDustikus until you fucked up a simple procedure like applying oil to the filter to repel moisture

  • @uploaded113redone Nah, never had any problems with them on any of my vehicles, was just the numerous customers who had problems and some reading that made me want nothing to do with them. And if you think for a half a second you'd realize that the oil doesn't repel moisture, it's part of what traps the dirt. Done arguing this, either run the filters or don't, up to the owner. nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html

  • Its got nothing to do with the kind of truck you drive its how you drive it and maintain it.old peoples vehicles last longer because of this.

  • GM cars are ok but my uncle has a 89 1500 and my granddad has a 89 f150 he has never done anywork on the engine or transsmision and my uncle has put 2 engines in and a tranny and he says ford sucks? haha crazy

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 I bet the 89 f150 has the 300 six cylinder right? I had an 88 300 six with 470,000 miles, doesn't smoke and it is still running. Only reason I sold it is something with that many miles worries me.

  • @94StrokerZ28 nah this one has the 302 in it approx 350,000 miles on it

  • i got a K&N Air filter in my 5.2 Litre 99 V8 dodge Durango! i love it! im gonna put one in each new car i get! thats number one on the list for engine upgrades for when i get another car

  • This story is 100% bologna. I know K&N makes great filters but the 1 million miles?

He said he drove 1,000,000 in 10 years, so that mean he drove over 250 miles a day for 10 years straight......

  • @jiaminglin6 oh look, its you again. and ill say once more...

    YOU

    HAVE

    NO

    KNOWLEDGE

    OF

    AUTOMOBILES!!!

so tell me, how can a completely cleanable, reusable, air filter can NOT last this long. and also id like you to tell me how a lightweight rwd car with 500hp is still crap. shut your mouth asswipe.

  • @wilsob26 So you stalking my comments now? First of all I never said anything about the filter, I said the million miles isnt true. Because Honda Civics are fucking gay, if it was a Toyota Corolla with RWD no one would care. You may think Honda Civics are cool now but when you grow up and realize what a real sports car is, you'll know how much of an idiot you were.

  • @jiaminglin6 problem?

  • @jiaminglin6 u mad bro? oh he mad

    (p.s. i drive a camaro)

  • @jiaminglin6 he also said he was a truck driver and it looks like he uses his truck for a living of somekind

  • Wow such a lie!!!

  • @youwishful Which part?

  • @KNfilters Hmm, i really doubt thats true... The whole thing "million mile air filter."

  • @youwishful We wouldn’t back it with a Million Mile Warranty if it wasn’t.

  • cause its a chevy no crappy ford!!!

  • @dillonmitchum124 even the the first miilion mile car was a ford e250 van

  • @jordtizzle thats cool i mean i dont hate ford im just a chevy guy

  • @dillonmitchum124 your comments a little misleading lol

  • @jordtizzle like i know people that anit friends just cause the trucks they like im not going to be an ass to people that like ford i would drive one but i would rather chevy

  • @dillonmitchum124 im the same just the other way around.

  • @dillonmitchum124 your right that has everything to do with it, dumbass

  • @dillonmitchum124 this is why chevy will alwayz be behind ford, they lie about everything

  • bullshit

  • I hope my challenger lasts a million miles lol I love my baby!

  • i call bs. prove it!

  • @babiixoxbritty The proof lies with Carl. He called us and said he was about to roll 1,000,000 miles on his truck and had the same K&N air filter the entire time. I can assure you we didn’t make this up.

  • @KNfilters are K&N filters made in the USA?

  • @babiixoxbritty you call BS because its rare. really whats rare is people who maintain there vehicles and treat them with respect. you dont need to replace half of what we do in cars regularly. most people do from abusing there car or truck. or not maintaining the esscientas.

  • @babiixoxbritty or because a crooked dealership or mechanic recomends it so u can put $ in there pocket :)

  • Chevy built like a fuckin rock!!

  • @scagy23 haha they will fall like one too.

  • soo this was posted in 06. wonder what he would be at now

  • could of drove around the world 43 times

  • Chevy baby! I love my Vortec engine! 195K and it's still powerful.

  • lol now sell it saying it only has 10k odd miles

  • In the end... it's just a truck... no passion, no fun what so ever.. just a truck

  • yea everyone, get a k&n your truck will run for ever. no maintenence needed, just an air filter....

  • 1 KN filter, 37 engines, and 112 trannys......thank god he saved $1800

  • @skiDOOman484 Dead on, man!

  • @skiDOOman484

    From K&N website:

According to Carl, he changed three starters, three alternators and brakes, plus all the regular maintenance on his one million mile pick-up. “Whenever I open the cover and change my oil I look at the air filter,” he said. “If it’s dirty, I take it out and clean it.”

According to Carl, you should shut the fuck up, cause you just got owned.

  • @wildbloodydragon according to me, and the other 99% of America that works on cars and trucks, there is NO FUCKING WAY thats all he ever put into that body style chevy. Fuel pumps, ball joints, tie rods, rear ends, engines, transmissions, u joints, and pretty much everything else under the sun falls under the category "regular maintenence". Its just marketing propaganda dumbass

  • @skiDOOman484 Has it ever occurred to you that maybe he might've taken good care of his car? Unlike 99% of America that works on cars and trucks who beat the shit outta their cars.

Why would K&N want to promote for Chevy's reliability? Wouldn't it be more effective marketing if they said:

"He changed his engine 10 times but NEVER changed his air filter!"

Just saying. I'm in the advertising business myself but what do I know.

Oh you mean they got paid by GM? Ahh...I love conspiracy theories.

  • @skiDOOman484 ahahahahhahahahahahah!!!!

  • @skiDOOman484 by your math thats a engine every 27,027 and a trans every 8928 what do you drive a fucking dragster

  • @skiDOOman484

Who cares about those statistics? its the same freaking filter that's the only point here.

Try to drive any car a million miles and sure you'll go through various engines and tranny's but if you put this filter on once that's how many times you have to replace it ONCE!!

  • @skiDOOman484 37 engines 112 trannys? Where did you pull those numbers from. Maybe had a rebuild on the tranny though.

  • think of all the other money hes dumped into that american made piece of shit.....they are DESIGNED to wear out parts at certain miles so the dealers can make money off of them..again!!!!!! <3 japanese

  • @casinomadrid1 your fucking stupid

  • @casinomadrid1 fuck off u slanted eyed fuck go back japan dumb gook

  • @casinomadrid1 still better than a honda.

  • @PalmTopTiger94 impossible.

  • @casinomadrid1 pretty sure its true

  • @casinomadrid1 One of the dumbest contents on Youtube...

  • @malkowskitube You're an idiot and don't realize that I actually am correct. They look to profit from sales not only off the lot but aswell in the shop.

  • @casinomadrid1 That wasn't the dumb part, it's that you think Japanese companies don't do it.

  • hes from the buyu

  • American cars built tough my dad put 700000 miles on his 2005 Lincoln town car

  • @0wexfaron I dont doubt it. Its a shame the american full frame sedans are all but extinct.

  • @0wexfaron So your dad's a chauffeur?

  • @IDontUsePicks limo service ;D

  • chevy ftw

  • gay

  • not changing your air filter for a million miles is just fucking stupid. of course it will last that long, its not like an air filter can break down and make the truck not run.

  • @Highsparkvolume its a lifetime filter, you take it off and wash it, its not made out of paper.

  • @Highsparkvolume hahaha i thought so too lmao

  • @Highsparkvolume you are a retard. You keep the same filter but clean it and recharge the filter. You are good to go for another 50k miles

  • 350 TBI OR 454 BIG BLOCK? my 2004 denali has 98,000 miles and runs perfect still but im about sick of it time for a new escalade or something.how can you drive the same truck for so long WOW your ASS must hurt. GOOD JOB MAN.

  • I'd like to know exactly WHAT air filter, (except for K&N) costs $30???? I work at AutoZone, and sell air filters EVERY DAY. STP, Fram, Spectre, K&N, you name it. I have NEVER seen a filter more than $15 that wasn't a "Performance" or "High flowing" filter. And even then, they still aren't as much as a K&N. Sure, K&N's are awesome, but I'm definitely gonna have to call bullshit on that one.....

  • @fretwizard420 Buys it from a dealership. Question answered!

  • @fretwizard420 he meant for the recharge kit not the filter.the oil and the cleaners

  • Everyone knows K&N lets the dirt through to get the extra flow. I've only got 410,000. on my 89 c1500 so this guy's got me beat. He's probably had 4 motors. I'm only on #2. I do have a K&N on one of my bikes but it was installed by the previous owner.

  • @stoker20 got an 07 yaris with 300,000 miles and still on the same engine and 2nd tranny, hope to beat this guy soon

  • You want to know why it has 1 million miles? IT HAS A BOWTIE ON THE GRILL. CHEVY. CAN HANDLE EVERY VEHICLE YOU know.

  • A million mile chevy? The poor guy must be broke after buying multiple new engines for that truck...

  • @iZacReyes ha! id put more faith in chevys engines than any other brand

  • @ktmyamaha01 I would put faith in their engines. But nothing else.

When you have been making the same engines since the 60's I would hope you would make them well by now.

  • @ktmyamaha01 I'd put a lot of faith in to a cummins or a 7.3 powerstroke engine. But as far as the body and frame go the best would have to be ford.

  • @iZacReyes well id put faith into a cummins too but for gas powered, id go with chevy. as for body/frame life, what years are you talking about? ive seen a lot fords rusting before chevys...

  • @ktmyamaha01 I've seen Chevy's rust before Fords. They all metal they all rust. It just depends where you live and whos taking care of the car

  • @iZacReyes true

  • K&N makes the best filter in the world period.

  • is that the original engine and transmission ?? i doubt it ,,, but if it is im pretty shure his truck has 10xxx miles on it

  • wow! i can get 1,000,000 miles out of an engine with one of them filters? i guess you could bull-shit a few people on here. i do believe there is a little more than a reusable air filter involved in a long lasting engine.

  • must have been on a dyno for hours

  • The oil doesn't harm it but if there's oil on it it causes particulate to stick to it effectively insulating it causing it to react improperly.

  • they aint saying it lasted cuz of the air filter they just sayin it didnt need to be changed in that time. plus the only reason the truck lasted that long is cuz it a chevy. you could never get a ford or dodge to last that long.

  • $30 air filter?

My FRAM filter cost me $1.37

  • dumbasses it doesnt have a million miles because of a stupid air filter, its cause he took good care of it, frequent oil changes!!

  • @FreedomMountain As many trannies as will fit in the front seat. Some can ride in back, but itll be one hell of a party when you get home. Just bring some meth, extasy, some coke, and condoms....

  • I have one on my truck, and it's a lot easier to take it off, wash it, and reapply some of the air filter oil, than buying a whole new one.

  • A Ford would have never made it beyond 300,000 miles.

  • @philip21786 depends you gota take care of the car and depends on the vehicle i know certain vehicals from ever manufacturer cant last over 100k miles

  • Heres a little math lesson for you ford guys or worse...people who like foreign junk

    K&N+Chevy=Unbreakable

    Got it?

  • @LateNightCable When chevy and ford used to be american... An italian guy designed the new 2011 mustang... So now its Italian muscle assembled in africa...

  • @LateNightCable "break chevy! break!" "no fuck you! im a chevy! i run as long as I want!"

  • how do we know u didnt dyno it for 1mil miles then used it? lol jk

  • dude you drive as many miles in a month as people drive in a year.

  • ya that truck is probably worth 50$ now

  • hondas are better.

  • i wonder why they didnt use a toyota for this video? oh yeah....

  • @VirginiasLoudest Toyota had quite a few million mile trucks, so many that they did an advertising campaign to show case the trucks and their owners.

  • You can easily swap engine/transmission/suspension a hundred times and the odometer won't stop. Also, K&N doesn't make the best filter, Apexi does. A simple flow-meter proved it many times over. But then again, it makes so little difference that you may as well stick with stock, if you don't like spending money. This is truth.

  • All you people saying it messed up your MAF sensor.. lol Do you even know what "MAF" stands for? The K&N filter probably flows 3x more air than your stock restrictive paper filter, which is probably confusing the Mass Air-Flow sensor.. Maybe put an aftermarket sensor, so it knows it's getting 3x more air than stock. That's just my word of advice.

  • They real good products..Just one drawback..A bit too pricey. Or maybe it was just cause of where i live.

  • @auburnboy141 Just think of this, it has a LIFETIME warranty. When you do your routine maintenance on your vehicle of choice, you usually replace the air filter (about $18 for a standard paper element). About 4 tune-ups after you buy your ~$60 K&N (washable, cotton element), it has already payed you back your money for buying it.

  • @joebeckham Never though about it that way...Thanks!

  • @auburnboy141 The only thing you have to do, is maintain the filter, just like the rest of the vehicle.. they require you to wash them and then re-oil it after it dries.

  • I've used K&N filters on all my cars, my 2000 GTP Grand Prix loved it!! However after I used K&N for a while I tried a S&B Powerstack, not really a noticeable difference in either filter. I highly recommend both filters to anyone looking for a bit more power and with only buying 1 filter all you need is the cleaning and reoil kit for them and its like new again. Oh I also have never had a single issue with my MAFs, or anyone else that I know using them!!

  • what engine does it have hopefully the 6.5 diesel

  • @duramax201 looks like a vortec 5.7

  • id sell it 99 c2500hd extcab longbed 4 sale 8000 25,000 miles

  • I work for a mechanic and one of our customers owns an 84 Chevy C10 with 440,000 miles on the original engine and transmission. When looked after and properly maintained, along with being driven with respect and not driving crazy, a Chevy truck can easily go 300,000+ miles on the original equipment.

  • Congratulations to you Carl. The big million is a huge accomplishment for any driver. It shows us that we Americans really do know how to make a reliable automobile.

  • just sell it as a truck with 10,000 miles!

  • 1,000,000 miles wow sounds like Chevy need this truck on the next truck commercial.

  • Like a rock, oh like a rock!

  • @84W201 how about a Benz with a KN filter? i am beat that record

  • everyone makes a big deal when its a chevy. its normal for a 90's dodge. especially with the cummins

  • @ChuCk230e This is a gas engine. Cummin's are diesel, BIG difference there bud.

  • I love that short "Okay" haha :)

  • our 1997 dodge has a k&n filter on it, over 200k miles, still running great!

  • cough cough....CHEVY!

  • craigslist offer: Chevy c2500 Hd LIKE NEW only 11k Miles!!

  • @Johnsonx16x hahaha

  • A chevy with 1 mill?!?!? ~ no way! Are you sure it's not 10 miles? lol

  • @Begbucks wow your so gay, you faggot when taken care of cars will last over 1million miles dumbass.

  • @miamibitch305fl My bad, Sure no problem, a 1/2 dozen engines, & a baker's dozen of trannys not to mention just about everything else many times over. kinda doable~ 1,000,000 Mile Chevy or Ford

  • I like MAC intakes better. Thats what I got on my cobra

  • i was doing research for my toyota 4runner i have a airhog filter and i was reading up on the toyota fourms that the K&N is not the best choice for an air filter or a Cold air intake system.

  • 30 bucks a piece? Where the hell are you buying air filters

  • @Tdaz250 well that guy was a technician so he's probably basing it off his jacked up prices

  • Man. I can't get a Chevy to get 200K, let alone a million, lol. All BS aside, love your filters. Have been using them since 1997. One of the few products I'm 100% satisfied with.

  • That was becuase he drove a chevy.

  • yeah...but how many transmissions????

  • on the Ad to sell it, only 10,800 miles. they wont know the truth

  • it wasnt the air filter it was the chevy

  • @DHWhatisittoya it wasnt the chevy it was the motor.................

  • @DHWhatisittoya 100 % !!!!!

  • my 89 s10 that my dad bough new has 489,300 miles so im almost halfway there, oh and the engine has never been rebuilt, or replaced only the trans has been replaced twice

  • suck on that imports lets see a rice burner get over a million miles and still drive fine down the road

  • 1,000,000 million miles- Thats 264,000 dollars in fuel. If you do the math. A chevy 2500 gets at best 15MPG. Natl average for fuel right now is 3.97/gal so- 1000000 / 15 = 66666 x 3.96 = $264,000. Im just saying- Give me the $264,000 so i can buy a house- I'll give you piggy back rides everywhere

  • @makingyournightmares , Your on the correct path, but a Truck with over a million miles has been driving for over a decade, Gas prices were not always averaging $3.97/gal ... The Truck is between a 1995 and 1998 model... The Average gas price in '95 was $1.15/gal Still an astonishing amount of gasoline required to drive that distance!!!

  • 1,000,000 million miles- Thats 264,000 dollars in fuel. If you do the math. A chevy 2500 gets at best 15MPG. Natl average for fuel right now is 3.97/gal so- 1000000 / 15 = 66666 x 3.96 = $264,000

  • It may have a little bit to do with it being a GM truck. One has got to start with something built good enough that it could make it to a million if given the maintenance and care necessary to do so!

  • chevy like a rock. cant beat them.

  • Its not cause of the filter its cause it's a Chevy!

  • /watch?v=HjQcN1nq2UU this here is the real thing, you actually get to see the odometer, so you know it really has a million miles, in the k&n video, it does not show an odometer in the pickup, i mean i could claim my mazda rx-7 has 800,000 miles, even when everyone knows is does not

  • @fordmanmudracer The truck is actually at our facility in California; I can assure you it has over 1,000,000 miles on it.
