  • wow what an amazing video

    than you very much

  • @yg8ugu1 thanks so much

  • i wanted to know how long to put my peanuts in the oven... and yeah this does taste SO MUCH BETTER..... its incredible...

  • @Finiras simplest recipe ever. thanks for watching, glad it worked out.

  • @cookingfordads actually i was talking about the organic peanut butter that i bought from the health food store, which is also what got me to search and find this video because i wanted to make my own peanut butter. so far it hasn't worked properly though because i keep under-roasting or over-roasting the peanuts. id rather not buy the dry roasted ones in the shop because good peanut butter needs the peanut oil that is naturally in the peanuts.

  • @Finiras Believe it or not, this really works and you don't have to add any oil. You should buy the roasted ones and try it. It really works great.

  • @cookingfordads well i just succeeded in making peanut butter. the right way to roast it is at 350 fahrenheit for 20 mins, put the peanuts in a pan in the oven and shake the pan a bit every 2 mins to prevent burned peanuts with rancid oil. the peanut butter's taste is very good... but i ate way too much of it lol. my stomach feels like its going to explode.

  • I'm dying to get a Vitamix blender but my only concern is about getting the peanut butter out of the blender after you make it since it doesn't pour out. Seems like a messy venture rather than buying a jar.

  • @macuser5555 it is a little tricky and you need to use a rubber spatula but it can be done. It tastes so much better than store bought and has no preservatives. It's worth it.

  • Wow what a Shitty video

  • @mobius012 wow thanks, what an insightful comment.

  • I found the Champion juicer to make the best butters and sorbets.

  • Haha monty python referance

  • this guy is a murderer

  • haha, funny video, i enjoyed it, continue making more videos!

  • @PiorunofLV Thanks, be sure to tell your friends to watch. :-)

  • why not just buy organic peanut butter for few bucks, that blender is like 400 dollars and thats way too noisy to make

  • your blennder SUCKS have u ever herd of germany? and bosh? that is blender not that big shit of urs

  • @Bastercina that's a vitamix. best blender

  • @ilinaeternity YES I CAN SEE THAT with that i cud wake up my neighbors 200 yards from my home come on you can all admit that his blender SUCKS !!!! search on youtube Blender-bosh, u cant even hear it and it does all the job perfect. Thumbs up if u agree and thumbs up if you have the same shitty blender.

  • @Bastercina I haven't gotten a vitamix as yet. When I do, I'll tell you how it fares (i'm getting it soon). And i've seen the bosch blender, it seems all right.

  • @ilinaeternity buy bosch and u will not make mistake thrust me !

  • @Bastercina how much does it cost?

  • @ilinaeternity little one 20-30$ BIG ONE 60-70-80$ i like the small ones dunno why :)

  • @Bastercina aww crap that's super cheap. I mean that's a good thing but that really makes me question it's power and blade shape. The vitamix can blend dry frozen fruits into ice cream with no liquid. I don't think bosch will have the power to do so. Anyways ill let you know how the vitamix goes when i get it..

  • @ilinaeternity it blended one dude finger off and one wooden spoon :P

  • @ilinaeternity *BOSCH*

  • Those are Kirkland Cashews from Costco?

  • lol dentist chair had me laughing there , didn't see that coming , cooking and humor !! i like it , keep up the good work !!

  • So just roasted peanuts and nothing else?

  • @Degenskonto yep, that's all you need. amazing isn't it.

  • @cookingfordads Yeah, pretty good.

  • Too much work!

  • LOL! Very funny, and informative. Thanks for keeping it simple. Other sites start by giving you the history of the peanut, so thanks for getting straight to the point. Great sense of humour!

    Steve.

  • I think the best peanut butter is made using a mortar and pestle.

It is fast, easy, and makes great tasting nut butters...(no heat generated).

  • @waterandphotons I'll have to try that. I actually like the warmth the peanut better gets.

  • What a crappy vid.

  • Rather than a blender, do it with a food processor. It makes more sense even

  • @rocketlauncher2 never tried it, good idea.

  • salted spanish peanuts also make a great peanut butter.

  • LOL. Monty Python and The Holy Grail much ? xD

    It's such a great film (:

  • You should replace the people who were sacked with Mexican llamas.

  • @bruno2260 Ah yes, I forgot about the llamas. lol

  • Do the cashews need to be roasted?

I've never had cashew butter before.

There never was a salmonella problem with store bought peanut butter like Jiff or any other brand names.

The salmonella PB went into snacks only like PB crackers and such, that plant didn't make PB to sell on store shelves.

    KT

  • I do the cashews roasted but they can be raw, Cashew butter totally rocks.

You are right about the salmonella, I was making these for snacks. :-)

  • You don't put any oil, salt, or sugar in it?

  • you don't need it. It's amazing.

  • yummmmmmmmmmmy!!!!! .. the peanut what ? cooke or uncook?

  • rob..ur kids are lucky to have a resourceful father like u...god bless u n ur family!

  • Stop being so Critical.

  • I don't call it stealing, i refer to it as borrowing, tipping the hat ect. :-) thanks for watching.

  • pay homage much? it's not stealing.

great video. the wind in the kitchen was pretty funny too.

  • I absolutely love this, well except for the couple interruptions but that was bearable. :) Anyway, yes and the homemade nut butters all come out warm from the Vita-Mix, and there's NO messy OIL to deal with like store bought healthy nut butters. Just another reason we love our Vita-Mix!

  • It's amazing how good it really tastes.

  • hahah "in seconds"

  • A Hamilton Beach - 7 speed. It is over 15 yrs old - motor still works great - we recently replace the container (plastic one cracked) with a glass one that we purchased fm the Goodwill ($5). Also had to replace the blade assembly once. We use it a lot - we just started making the peanut butter with it.

  • I use my 'dollar store blender' to make my homemade peanut butter w/o any problems. I do add a bit of oil to the mix (canola or peanut) - this will make it easlier on the motor. I also use a smaller blender jar - to blend and to store the finished product.

  • Wow, that's great. Which brand of blender do you use?

  • isnt it bitter without sugar(I have a sweet tooth)

  • No, it's great. You don't need the sugar. Try it.

  • well I feel stupid I didn't know that is all you had to do. I figured you would have to add more than peanuts. Your videos are the best Rob. My wife really enjoys them also. Thanks to your video she is making the avocado chicken tomorrow. Great work. Keep the videos coming. I EAT WELL :)

  • just peanuts you dont add anything else? huh thats easier than i thought

  • Yeah, it's amazing, isn't it. Try it.

  • @marcelukas kind of like how easy it is to make actual butter too. Crazy, like why do we buy this stuff premade?

  • I love the subtitles.

  • Holy Grail

  • Now I need to get that blender... my husband is gonna get mad at you for introducing me to a new kitchen gadget LOL

I wonder how many people were fired in the making of this video LMAO

  • Fresh peanut butter should be stored in the refrigerator after making. For optimal freshness consume in 2 weeks. If you cannot use all of the peanut butter in 2 weeks it freezes well in an airitight container.

  • are they pronounced ca-SHEWS or CA-shews

  • i would like to congratulate all the stupid novice people in the kitchen that will try to do this method of PB making using a 25 dollar blender and a wooden spoon....

    heheheheh

    life is so good.

  • So it´s just peanut ? Don´t need to add anything else?

By the way, I love your videos. Keep this great job up!

  • Start Uploading in HD or HQ

  • I do it just takes a day or so for the high quality link to show up.

  • Lots of questions for you, How exactly did you avoid salmonella? AND How long will fresh peanut butter last? does it have to be refridgerated or can it be stored in a cupboard. My Dad has a vit a mix, he loves it. I could reasonably borrow it ;)

  • 1. I avoided salmonella by avoiding that processing plant in GA. I've never heard of someone getting salmonella from roasted peanuts.

    2. Fresh peanut butter will last up to 3 months (as far as I've heard, we eat it too fast) and we just put it in an empty peanut butter jar, Jif if you will, and put it in the cupboard. It doesn't need to be refrigerated.

    3. go for it. Try cashews.

  • One more question: peanuts and cashews should be unsalted? Or is it better salted?

  • I like the salted ones, but you can use either, depending on your taste. I find it amazing that you don't need to add any sugar, since store bought PB has so much in it.

  • what is salmonella?

  • Salmonella is the disease that is causing the big peanut butter recall in the States.

  • wat happen if u get it? like wat happen to u

  • your anus turns into a waterfall.

  • HAHA not funny =.=

  • as disgusting as that is i'm on the floor right now XD LMAO!!!

  • The possible symptoms of Salmonella poisoning can include:

    - Diarrhoea or constipation.

    - Headaches.

    - Stomach cramps.

    - Nausea and vomiting.

    - Fever.

Although, with a milder infection, you'll likely only suffer some diarrhoea, which'll probably clear up naturally after a few days.

Anything more serious than that (e.g. you're suffering all of the above symptoms or suffering them severely) and you should go see the doctor, who'd prescribe you antibiotics to kill off the infection.

  • Salmonella is actually a type of bacteria.

It can cause illness - food poisoning - if certain types of foods aren't cooked or prepared properly, so as to ensure the bacteria is killed off and doesn't get into the food.

In this particular case, as Rob mentions, there's been a food scare in America with a processing plant in Georgia, where Salmonella has somehow gotten into their peanut butter products - forcing a product recall to stop people getting ill.

  • Basically, what Rob's saying is that if you make your own fresh peanut butter yourself - which is easy enough with a good blender - then you don't have to worry about the Salmonella scare from this processing plant.

Because you're making it yourself, so your peanut butter's not going anywhere near the affected processing plant.

Which is always an advantage of making your own food from fresh ingredients, rather than buying "ready meals" - as well as it usually being cheaper too. :)

  • That was funny and I learned something. I thought oil had to be added to make the paste, guess I thought wrong. Thanks for posting.

  • You go Rob.

  • My blender is crap :( I love cashew butter too

  • Don't try this with it then. :-)

  • Awesome Holy Grail references! Great video.

  • oh snap first comment
