  • Steven Tyler singing an awesome song !!!

  • Wayne's World.<3

  • yep....this version was for Wayne's World....cool as the original....

  • @evensteven300k yup cause i recognize the ending with the keyboards

  • Actually this is the version that was played on radio back in the day..I heard the " original " version and was thinking to myself that someone must have muted the accompanying tracks, then i hear this one and its what i remember..Of course they always chopped off the little reprise at the end like the always will at the radio station but yeah this is the one that got the airtime

  • Fucking love this song.<333 Original, or not! Still kicks ass.

  • isn't this the version that they had Gary Wright record for Wayne's World?

  • love this song

  • ohh dreammmmmmmmm wever

  • This song was played at my grandma's funeral viewing. She enjoyed this song and it also explains how she died in the ICU. "I belive you can get me through the night" and "I believe we can reach the morning light" Reminds me of how she died at exactly 7:22 pm on February 2nd, 2011. I was very close to her and I loved her so much! Seeing her die was the last thing I ever wanted to to. I spoke to her before she died and I just couldn't finish my words without breaking down. I miss you Maw Maw! 143!

  • @Dusty08148 Your Grandma was 143?!

  • @Trees82 No!!! 143 means I Love you! she was 54

  • @Dusty08148 Ok

  • Luv this song

  • After hearing the orginal version and now this one. I prefer this one. Like the more upbeat music to it.

  • i understand that gary originally had this as a folk song. his producer(?) convinced him to turn it into a dreamy rock song. would love to hear the real original just out of curiousity. love both versions. thanx 4 posting.

  • they dont rlly sound different

  • nice

  • I've loved this song for so long, that my on-line persona has a power based on it, literally called Dream Weaving. I never knew there was a second version of this song, until a local radio station started playing it, a month or so, back. I really love the way the lyrics echo, at points, it just makes it sound that much more cosmic!

  • To me the "Dream Weaver" is an Alien one of those "Greys" i aways see him in this song.

  • Was my reply directed at you?Where is your name??I was talking in GENERAL about the person who re-mixed this...not YOU!

  • @oLdSkOoLkisS

Okay, fine. So long as that's cleared up. But just settle down a little, okay? You're going to pop an artery.

    Take care,

    Didge

  • @Didgeinator92 THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!!!!!! ITS SOUNDS AWSOME!!! i LOVE BOTH!!

  • I was talking about the person who re-mixed this...not you.How about getting some facts before you accuse???

  • @oLdSkOoLkisS Ok first of all, no idiot F'ed this up, it was Gary Wright who changed it for the Movie Wayne's World... so go lick a tick and get off Didgeinator's back.

  • @EpicMrSauce ABSOULTY RIGHT!!!! WELL SIAD!!!

  • @LUVMEN21 Haha Thanks

  • I'm tired of IDIOTS FN up classics.....do not try to fix what is not broken.

  • @oLdSkOoLkisS

This version I found in a download, I did not touch it in any way possible. Don't call me an idiot just because I posted something alternative to what you're used to. If you don't like it, just go back to the original, and leave it be.

  • I grew up with the original version and prefer it. But, the drums in the chorus is way more crisp and clear. I wish they'd been that crisp in the original version!

  • great song!

  • great song.genius man.

  • I like this one. Isn't this the one that's always in movies?

  • I grew up to this version. I think because of that, I prefer this one to the original. Yes, the original is a good song... but this one just seemed more... relaxing to me, despite the extra drumbs and more up-beat tempo.

My mom doesn't seem to realize this version is different fromt he original though :p

Thank you for posting this version.

  • @HinoteTwintailCat

    You're welcome! Thanks for watching.

  • @HinoteTwintailCat same here, this is my fav as well

  • @HinoteTwintailCat what are drumbs?..and do you have to play them with your thumbs lol just kidding sorry i just couldn't resist that one ..I have been reading a lot of comments today and it has brought the asshole in me to the forefront..with all the jerks and their complaining lol

  • dude leave well enough alone

    stupid drum beats

  • @sammysole1

If you are saying that I remixed this, then you couldn't be further from the truth.

I just ended up finding this version from a download. If you don't like it, just watch the original, and let it be.

    Peace!

  • I wish someone would post Gary Wright's best song, 'Fascinating Things'

It's from his album 'footprint' and i's so much better than this track

Listen to the call and response between the guitar and keyboards

  • Not Bad,

I'm used to the OTHER version.....

I had the 45 (YEARS AGO) On the OTHER side was "Love Is Alive"

  • yeh this version was the one on the Wayne's World soundtrack, nice.

  • This version of one of my favs, Dream Weaver is AWESOME!

  • Comment removed

  • different singer it sounds.

  • i like the original version - like the radio version...

  • I've always loved this song and i like this version even more. The ending music is incredible. Anyone know of a longer version of this music?

  • great song. real smooth. helps me fall asleep, and reach the morning light

  • I have just closed my eyes again.

  • Not bad.

Personally, however, I enjoy the alternative re-recording from the soundtrack to "Fire & Ice," but this is a nice mix as well.

  • I can't find any songs that I use to be able to find on here. Fucking corporations are killing music. I think they figured out that we can download them from here...tee hee.

  • how come you can't find this stuff anymore?

  • Because of WMG's copyright crap.

  • before they made all these funky changes to youtube you could pind anything, now I can't find good music or what I want anymore on here, it's comes up with like two things of nothing I want.

  • Yeah. These people better leave youtube alone. Really, If i couldn't find the music on CD, I would listen to it on youtube. now all i ever see is just this live crap. Either live or disabled.

  • Not a bad version but the original is still way better and good luck trying to find it on youtube because it just is not on here anymore. Bastards are cracking down.

  • Been there, done that pal. I have the original song too, but it's already been posted, at least last time I looked.

You're right too, bloody copyrighting fuckers are just ruining what's left of this once great site. Here's hoping that they get their common sense one day.

  • thank u so much my mother dedicated that song to me before she died thank u

  • The difference to me, is like his voice is standing out more if you get me =/

  • I'm searching for the version where he dances this fine song. so far no luck. But thanks for this.

  • i do like this version you did an excellent job however i do like the old version as well

  • I was in my twenties when the song came out. I'm 51 now and just love this new version. Thanks...

  • Forever my song threw time!!! Just love it

  • i prefer this version. it might just be the quality though. i find the chorus here a lot more "bassy", which i like.

  • liberty, my dreamweaver, you can be.

  • This is ok, I don't care much for the drum machine feel to the rhythm track. Sounds like he used some of the original sound effects tracks on this one too.

The original has the advantage of being the authentic feel of what he was trying to capture when he wrote it. I've only heard one live version that came close to improving on the original, but it's not available anywhere. I'm pretty sure it was on Don Kirchner's Rock Concert in 1977.

  • All around its good... just cant compare to the original

  • The original usually is the best after all. But glad you enjoyed it anyway.

  • Sorry, dont like it. Original is much better.

  • You got an opinion, and no-one forced you to watch. As for me, I like both versions. So don't be sorry.

  • OMG REMIX!!!

  • k agree there is a slight amount of change but i dont see where its a great deal of change can anyone pin point a point and time in it where theres a great amount :D plz and thanks :D

  • Definitely the last 30 seconds of the song, which was not featured on the original. Hope that helps.

  • Watch the langauge mudpuppy22.!!

Yes this version is much better than the original

  • I don't hear anything???

  • Can't help you with that. Could be that the speakers are accidentally off or something, I would not know. But best of luck getting it to work.

  • no offense but it kinda sounds the same 2 me

  • None taken. But my best advice would be to get both of the songs and listen to one, then the other. You will notice a difference. Very minor ones no doubt, but still different. Just gotta be observant.

  • good god damn grief !

This takes the original and puts a platinum sheen on it ! NICE !

  • better than the original

  • isnt this the original?

  • I don't think so. The original, while the same song, had a different sound to it. It also didn't feature the soft piece during the last 30 seconds. Look it up, you might find something different. That's all I can tell you. Have a good one.

  • simply great

  • like this version better

  • great song
