How do you like these guys compared to ackies? I'm finally reaching a point in which I can keep some small monitors again and am somewhat torn between the two. I kept and produced ackies a few years back (loved them, of course) and certainly would like to keep them again, but tristis are also very appealing. I've heard that they're shy but that doesn't really seem to be the case with yours. Thoughts?
I raised this group up from hatchlings and have been feeding them by tongs from the day they arrived so they're pretty used to me. I don't see them out just cruising the cage near as much as ackies, but they do still come out pretty regularly.
@BallPythons9 Not really, no, if I notice them building up in there, (which is pretty rare by the way) I'll just flip the logs/ boards over so the lizards see them and eat them.

Do you ever have any issues with the lobsters breeding inside the cage before the lizards can eat them?

What do you like more, these or argus monitors.

They're really different so its kinda hard to compare the two. But I really enjoy keeping argus for their personalities. :)
