Actually, the amount of trade with countries like the UAE and other wealthy areas like Dubai is much larger than they would like to admit officially. Even though there has been an embargo between the US and Iran since 1979, plenty of goods make their way there through Dubai and other countries that deal with the US.

I don't see how Iran get more by selling oil in pounds.
the pound did "plunge" compared to 4 and euro. So can you explain to me what/how Iran get 40% more? As well, why would anybody pay 40% more for oil in pounds?
