  • muahaha I can play this on Mai VIOLA ....for those who are under a rock (Vee-oh-la)

but I just wanted to check that you actually knew that this is the FF7 theme ....right?

  • wow, that is actually quite good :)

  • I can do better on my piano.

You slide to much on your guitar.

  • I appreciate the criticism, but this video was a year and some change ago. Everything about my guitar playing has improved heavily. And I'm glad you can do better on your piano, despite the riff as a whole sounding better on the guitar. :)

  • i hope i didn't piss you of men.

It's just easier for me on piano and maybe easier on guitar..

  • lol Don't worry, you didn't! And you're definitely right, I did slide A LOT on the guitar a while ago. I'm serious, thanks for the criticism. Yea, on guitar is easy. I honestly wish I knew how to play piano.

  • I can explain but i my camera doesn't work anymore or it's baddest qualtity ever.

  • nice!

id love to see the completed tab of this.

  • Awesome!

    Tab plz?

  • awesome job! ^_^

  • that's kool, i like where u're goin w/ it.

  • work on the distortion a bit lessen it and you willz be perfect other then that...omg that was awsome i wish i could play that well! ^0^

  • i really like what they did with the ff world map theme

  • are you the same circlenine as on the anime boston forums? if so its shukaku

  • It's just the FF7 sped up, nice job, but a little rough.

  • that's not half bad..

  • FFVII main theme.....Leetstreet Boys just used it...and just because cloud is the main charc does not mean that his song is the main theme, cloud has his own theme song along with every other charc...n00bs

  • that would be the ff7 main theme

  • LeetStreet Boys manga page 1 coming TOMORROW! Get ready!!

  • WOOT!!!

  • the tabs are?

  • all people complaining and argueing that this is or isnt the main theme/clouds theme. yes it is clouds theme and yes it is the main theme. cloud being the main character of this game makes his theme the main theme of final fantasy 7.

  • damn ur good

  • I like LeetStreet, but, yes, it's from Final Fantasy VII; it's Cloud's Theme. ^^

  • no its not, its the Final Fantasy 7 main theme.

  • Thank You!

    XD

  • anyone else notice that this is derived from a Final Fantasy VII song?

  • Yep. It's Cloud's Theme.

  • No it isn't It's the main theme

  • Which is CLOUD'S THEME. If you search Cloud's theme on Youtube of a video with the song, I can assure you that they're EXACTLY the same.

  • Check now then.

You'll notice there are differences,(In tempo, and really the majority of the song) and this is the FF7 main theme.

  • What would be the difference? There really isn't and besides, if you hear the only part that they're using it's the same as Cloud's theme. A tempo change doesn't make a song not a song. You can change the tempo of anything if you wish it.

  • You do know Cloud's Theme's what plays on the world Map right?

And you obviously didn't check because you'd see that not just the tempo but MOST OF THE SONG IS DIFFERENT.

Besides: This music is more like the Highwind music, with the intro cut out.

  • Yes I do know this, which is honestly what I figured you would be referring to. Sorry for the misunderstanding. But this 'discussion' started with what was playing as the beginning riff of this song, which would probably be considered as Cloud's theme, since that's the exact opening of it.

  • Really now...what about Vanilla Ice stealing the baseline from Queen's "Under Pressure" to make "Ice Ice Baby"? Same general thing, just with different musicians.

That fiasco means that music is copyrighted regardless of tempo, and if the majority of notes are shared, it's a variation on a song. A snippet of a song is still from a song, right?

But it's a shame that so much sampling of music goes on today, as the times that the sampling is in good taste is less impressive.

  • actually no.... This intro riff is being used as a parody, so it's fine. Just like a certain rapper tryed to sue Weird Al over Amish Paradise.

  • Actually, Gangster's Paradise is based on an older Stevie Wonder song called Passtime Paradise where he just changed the name and "toasted" over it, so Coolio had no reason to get all pissy that Weird Al Yankovic made Amish Paradise, as Gangster's Paradise was a parody of/heavily sampled composition of a pre-existing song to begin with, so no grounds to sue with.

This is the case of where someone made a sampled recording, and if the copyrights are not paid, then they can be sued over it...

  • Come to my channel to learn the full version of the song. No offense circlenine, mine just has the chords for those who want to know. No hard feelings?

  • Of course no hard feelings man! I appreciate you posting that instructional video, you've definitely covered the core of the song. Keep on playing!!

  • That was good.

  • That was pretty good. Keep practicing. :)

  • oh wait nvm

  • cant yall see hes playing music in the back round you can hear the music at the end of the video when hes finifhed playing the song on his guitar

  • I can play that on the piano, along with aeris theme and the first few notes of one winged angel!

  • Hey, that's pretty cool! I've always wanted to play piano but, I don't know, it's kind of hard to pick up.

  • Ive never had a lesson...i just listen to stuff that much that i kinda pick up the melody.

ive never seen the sheet music for aeris theme yet i can play most of it by ear.

  • wats the guitar tab for that part

  • if youre playing 1 line on one string you should probably realize youre doing something wrong

  • Please elaborate and put more detail into your criticism. I'm interested.

  • What he means is that you should use more strings. Using just one string and moving around so far is limiting the speed and accuracy you could be playing with. I hope that helps.

  • That really helped, also I used two strings, but I'll definitely use your advice. In fact, I used the E, B, and G strings now for this riff, after figuring out the notes.

Thanks again for the advice though man, I really appreciate it!

  • tabs please?

  • You can easily see what he's playing. Besides, he's making it too hard. Many of the notes further away from his starting point is closer than he thinks.

  • You're definitely right. I'm still new to playing so I just slide the string until I find the correct note. That's why so few strings are used. I'm currently learning my scales and notes in order to make playing more convenient for me, instead of using 2 strings. Thank you.

  • You know, this sounds just like the FF7 theme song. (It probably is exactly it)

  • That's because it IS part of "Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII" exactly.

  • Haha. xD

    FF7 is awesome.

  • lol the TIFA part of your name gave it away

  • lol

  • You owned that song! I love the dong btw.

I hope you have more vids!

  • You owned that song! I love the dong btw.

I hope you have more vids!

  • Thanks!!

  • Hey hey, i live by that. Everybody wang chung tonight!

  • Added to myspace page.

  • Yes, I am a weeaboo, and the riff took literally 5 minutes to figure out. Plus, the worst song ever to be shat out of a person would be Wang Chung's "Everybody have fun tonight". Thank you for your criticism and have a great day.

  • Cool

  • Awesome job!!

  • Heh, you did a nice job doing that by ear. Hope you enjoyed the references in the song as much as I did.

  • Thanks man! Yea, I enjoy the song greatly, since it's a style I've never really tried to play before. I've played blues, jazz, metal, hard rock, but never pop/rock like that before.
