Is there anything wrong with cleaning a gun starting at the end of the barrel and working up to the breach? I did that in my Disco and it seemed to work well.
unfortunately no.. You can't remove the bolt without taking off the breach. You'll have to push patches through the front end. I'd still recommend removing the shroud so that you can have better access to the barrel.
Dear Rick is there a wooden rifle stock that would fit the walter talons magnums if not which comes close to meeting the specs in measure i'm hoping to change stocks the plastic just is unacceptable thanks for the advice joshdode92.
Rick ....Rick.... I find it better not to screw the shroud assembly all together as one unit. but to put it back together piece by piece...shroud,baffles,oring,end cap...
I have personally seen accuracy suffer when installing the way you did in the video, and was told my Tim @ mac 1 that the marauder baffle system is meant to work under compression
Hey there.. definitely do what works for you.. I've not found it to be the case on my end. when you think of it.. the tension should be the same no matter how you put it back together.. it is not like you loosen the front cap in the process. When you tighten down the shroud it compresses the baffles as they were before you took it off.
@MrAirgunSniper That's funny, I had the exact same issue with my .22cal until I took the shroud back off and screwed it on without the baffles in it, then it went back to one hole shots @ 20yrds. I have a feeling that it is touching the baffles during those last few screw ins of the shroud and preloading the barrel at an angle or something similar. Mac1 worked on mine also, I will probably buy one of his accuracy prepped .25cal next.

@Snaab92
You can do that if you need to. It is better to go from the breach, but sometimes you can't because of the gun's design.

I guess you could.. never tried it. It is always best to use the right tool for the job. Patches work better.

Can the first method also apply to the Benjamin Discovery?
JrSquirreler 1 month ago
@JrSquirreler
The Discovery does not have the breach 0-ring, so it is a bit easier.. I'm working on a modified discovery video.. may be a while till it's done.
