For two people who love the same game so much, you sound like idiots arguing about it. Imagine how I feel knowing that they have made remakes, that will probably never end up in the states, because they aren't FF or Chrono games. They've even made a NEW game, that isn't coming to the states.

Unless things have changed in the last 5 years. 6 is the last game I will get play in english :(

Darm in the turbo duo version is crazy ass motherfucking hard. In this version you can just keep leveling up past the max and get insane str and def, so he's easy.

Yes you are right but it's easier if you switch the game's speed to slow and if you are at least at Level 60

He IS hard in the Turbo CD version. I have never been able to kill him, even at max level and with Shield magic. It sucks, but the game is still cool.

The trick to beating him is to use the silver armor and weapons (even though they have less ATK or DEF than the best armor). After all, there is a reason this boss was trying to take all the Creria (ie silver) stuff.

Plus I think the goddess ring helps. Not sure though, I don't recall ever using the goddess ring. I think I used that potion that heals you a lot. Or maybe I did use the goddess ring. It was a long time ago

he's not hard and its the pc engine version i have a turbo duo and i beat this game several times and this is back in 1993.they don't call me the game guru for nothing!

Listen mate i'm no fool and you have to remember i played this game way before you even heard of it.I still own my oringinal copy of ys books one and two.and i've betean them several time lad.maybe you have a hard time with darm,but he's not impossible.I have every Ys game ever made.and I'm a true rpg guru and i've been playing them for 27 yrs.

As I can see, beating Darm is different as opposed to the original. I was hoping to find a tip in beating the original, but the graphics for the game are impressive. Is the game available for English?

There is an english patch available for the PC versions. Make sure you equip Shield magic before fighting Darm.

Definitely equipped the Magic of Shield before battle. And, after so much practice, I finally beat it today. But a patch for the PC versions?

In the original, wear your best armor, put on the goddess ring, turn on the magic of sheild just before you go through the door (which gives you a few seconds of reprieve from harm).

Another tip is the basement exp glitch. Use the Idol of Hawk or Falcon, whichever is better, use the magic of fire, and go to that basement in the first town. Put it on turbo, and tape the fire button down until you reach lvl 99. It's cheap, and monotonous, but it helps.
