@JullietArthur Actually I go to this school and we have a very high number of Tongan students. Our football team is more than half Tongan and they are proud to support their culture and their people by performing the Haka. I myself am not Tongan/Maori but I would think that one would be proud that the younger generations are carrying on tradition.

This video is complete BS. You posers know NOTHING about the Haka. It is a Maori tradition and you are only doing it because it looks cool. Even if there are Polynesians on your team, i guarantee they are NOT Maori. If they are Samoan or Tongan they should do their own culture's unique dance. Take a look at the Univ. of Hawaii - they do the Hawaiian war dance: the Ha'a - because they don't feel like ripping off Maori culture like all you posers do. Pathetic.

If you wish to enter an Indian reserve and/or to participate in their sacred festival you ASK PERMISSION. Did this college or any other American College ask permission? This particular Haka is the INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY of a tribe in New Zealand. First ASK, then LEARN.
I cannot understand how people can hold their heads up high when doing a dance that is NOT even theirs. I know that there are NO Maori on this team. Also, how could this be called a haka when the dance moves are incorrect and the words are pronounced wrong. As a Pacific Islander, I feel ashamed that other Pacific Islanders are incorrectly teaching native things to non-Pacific Islanders, which only perpetuates the stereotypes of Maori and other native PI's. This is worse than the NZ All Blacks
