horse had an elevated head during the first 10 secs or so. esp. when asking for canter. needs to be level the entire time that is one thing there judging for : consistency. also the first jump was long. im suprised that they got as high as they did. i wouldnt have placed them at all. no offence.
Nice hunter horse, but I think he should've added in an extra stride comming into the first verticle. Im sure you already know that though :P But stunning horse!!
i'm entering in my first breed hunter hack show this summer, and i just had a quick question... When cantering for the jumps, should you be out of your saddle (2point) or do you just rise from your saddle right before the jump? how about in between the jumps? thanks! great job!
You ride up (into 2point) as your horses front legs come off the ground to jump. Before then you stay nice and quiet in the saddle. :) Same in between jumps
You are judged over fences and riding on the flat.
From Horse&Rider article by English rider Jerry Erikson, about Hunter Hack,
"Strategy: You'll need to pay attention and think ahead. You'll be judged on your horse's way of going, responsiveness, form over fences, precision changing leads and, finally, his obedience when halting and backing. The over-fences portion counts for 70 percent of your score..."

hunter hack is basically aqha style riding and they decide to jump. They are not true hunters

Sorry, You'd have to talk to the rider, not me, about this. I'm just the breeder of the horse. Thanks for your comments.
