  • whare r u becouse i just went tothe verginia horse park .. it looks like that

  • @jaspersgold18

    This was in Amarillo, Texas

  • horse had an elevated head during the first 10 secs or so. esp. when asking for canter. needs to be level the entire time that is one thing there judging for : consistency. also the first jump was long. im suprised that they got as high as they did. i wouldnt have placed them at all. no offence.

  • hunter hack is basically aqha style riding and they decide to jump. They are not true hunters

  • Lovely horse and AWESOME RIDING !

  • Nice hunter horse, but I think he should've added in an extra stride comming into the first verticle. Im sure you already know that though :P But stunning horse!!

  • Sorry, You'd have to talk to the rider, not me, about this. I'm just the breeder of the horse. Thanks for your comments.

  • I know tihis is an old comment but..

You ride up (into 2point) as your horses front legs come off the ground to jump. Before then you stay nice and quiet in the saddle. :) Same in between jumps

  • You would have to talk to the rider about this. Thanks for your comments.

  • that horse is gorgeous!

  • wow.. that horse takes such long, beautiful leaps!

  • Very nice.

  • pretty horse =]

  • I want to jump. Alls I have is a cutting horse and a trail horse.

  • Ok, so what r the judges looking for in hunter hack?

  • You are judged over fences and riding on the flat.

From Horse&Rider article by English rider Jerry Erikson, about Hunter Hack,

"Strategy: You'll need to pay attention and think ahead. You'll be judged on your horse's way of going, responsiveness, form over fences, precision changing leads and, finally, his obedience when halting and backing. The over-fences portion counts for 70 percent of your score..."

  • Phew long spot on the first one but beautifully ridden! My horse likes to get as close as possible before jumping lol He's such a pickle!

  • How did you place? He/She is a pretty horse!

  • Hi. The rider and her horse, Noah, placed 4th.

  • Thanks for the update on Skyler.

  • A Skys Blue Boy gelding won, don't remember the name.

  • nice job but work on the posting, it kind of looks sloppy

  • how many were in the class? Really pretty moving horse, good job!

  • I don't remember how many exactly. I think it was just under 10.
