  • I want some money too =( .. why not me ?

  • Fantastic graphics.

Tony Blair said that the war aim was to capture or kill Osama Bin Laden -( the Taliban had offered to hand him over on receipt of proof that he was culpable, but Bush and Blair ignored this offer). A year later they had failed to do this, yet the war continued, and somehow the war aim had become regime change. I feel sullied by being a part of a country that did this. It appears now that there is an appetite in Afghanistan to see the Taliban restored. NOTHING achieved.

  • It still begs the question - What war?

I only see innocent killings of a troubled country

  • if Chinamen invaded my USA i would fight the fuck out of them and defend my homeland.

what do you think the Afghan's would do?

  • I am so happy to see dead US and UK soldiers! Partying whenever they announce US/UK soldiers have died in Afghanistan or Iraq :)

  • hm is ja cool

  • "DIG FOR VICTORY" (graves that is) Dont you know there's a war on "PUT THIS LIGHT OUT NOW"

  • There is No amount we will not spend to Kill off thease sand Niggers...LMFAO...Hail to the almighty Bush

  • its more and more obvious that the people in the military in afghanistan are not making sacrifices for the public. NOt that i would expect that to happen anyway but it is quite a common cobble story the media publicise. YOu see the thing is the media will say something and people will automatically think its true whether its right or wrong.

  • I love how he said "Invaded" almost as if we are attacking a nation or a religion.

  • 3600, OMG!!! More Than MILLIONS!

  • 3600, omg MORE THAN THIS! More Than 300,000 Persons !!!

  • I wonder how many of those "innocent civilians" aided insurgents.

  • Why don't America Just do 1...

    They are the No.1 Terrorists.

  • The Taliban came from Pakistan... orginally

  • FREE AFGHANISTAN <3

I think its best For the U.K and U.S troops head home... It's best for Afghanistan and for The U.K troops

  • The real numbers that warned US people

  • Every once in a while Empires go to Afghanistan to check their Manhood just to get their Asses Kicked.

  • @alcoholicalligator yes yes ... you know everything ? do you know what happened when Soviets left Afghanistan ?! Taliban Start war in Tajikistan with 40 000 KIA in 1992-95 go read more about it :) what do you think they will do today with more than 50 000 Taliban if USA will Run away ?

  • @temoo91 USA shouldn't have invaded in the first place WARCRIMINAL-defending scumbag!

  • @janjan55555 oh oh USA SHOULD NOT INVADED ?! SO TALIBAN WOULD FUCK AROUND ?! YOU DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT AFGHANI PEOPLE DO YOU ? USA HELPED KOREA 1952 AND TODAY KOREA IS FREE NATION SO WILL BE AFGHANISTAN IF THEY WILL WIN...AND BY THE WAY QADDAFI INVADED CHAD WITH NO REASON ... IM FUCKING SURPRISED THAT PEOPLE ARE SORRY FOR TALIBAN AND NOT FOR SOLDERS WHO FIGHT FOR PEACE ON EARTH !!! AND AFGHANI WAR WAS STARTED IN 1979 BY SOVIET UNION :)))))

  • @temoo91 your country blindly supported Taliban against SU, less interference would make your country a better place! Ps Drop the caps kid!

  • Your sickening passivity would sell another country to despotism and religious fanaticism. How simple it must be for you, war is bad therefore stop the war.

What a heard of freethinkers you all are.

  • @thepigofhappiness so wanting to keep my kids from dying is a bad reason to not want to be in a war? Not wanting other peoples children to die is an inconsiderate reason? I oppose religious fanaticism as much as anyone believe me and the intolerance that exists in the arab world today towards women and children disgusts me. Fighting these peoples needlessly painful version of life is a noble cause but so is wanting to keep our brothers alive.

  • @tamu77095 What are you trying to say, that war in iraq/Afghanistan is a good cause????

  • TIME for the USA & ALL of the West'n Allies to get out of the Afghan War - IMMEDIATELY. TOO MANY Allied Soldiers have been uselessly killed. Today .. Sun 30th Oct .. we learn that 3 fine Aussie Soldiers, on-parade in a mentoring role, have been buskwacked & murdered by an Afghan Terrorist disguised as an Afghan Army Trainee. This is starting to appear like the TET offensive in Vietnam, Jan 1968 .. which was the start of the downhill slide which saw the USA pulling out of Vietnam in 1973.

  • who disliked this video?

  • This war will not end. If anything will end it will be US and UK.

  • Amnesty International has a good video out on the slow progress made by the International community. It should give anyone who cares at least pause to consider if unilateral withdrawal from Afghanistan before the end of 2012 will be what is best for the Afghan people. YT: Afghanistan 10 years on: Slow progress and failed promises.

  • Afghan Opinion

21% of Afghans want immediate foreign troop withdrawal

61% of Afghans want foreign troops to stay

    4% want Taliban return

58% of Afghans believe the Taliban are their greatest threat. (Drug trafficers 13%, US 8%) (ABC/BBC/ARD)

76% of civilian casualties are by antigovernment forces (UN)

95% increase in executions of civilians by the Taliban 2009-10 (UN)

  • @scientiapotentiaest7 just curious as to where you got those stats from?

  • @jacklurcher The main stats were from a survey done for the bbc,abc and the ard by the Afghan centre for socio-economic and opinion research, who are a subsiduary of D3 systems. It is the most up to date one I can find but it was published at the start of 2010. This is the 5th survey they have done since 2005. The others are from Amnesty International and the UNAMA (UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan).

  • Shared, great video, could subtitle this video in Italian?

    Thank you.

  • very good video

  • Please sign the e-petition for Babar Ahmad, the longest detained without trial British citizen, now in his eighth year behind bars fighting against extradition to the US. We need 100,000 signatures by 10/11/11 and Parliament will debate putting Babar on trial in the UK where is more likely to get a fair trial than the US. Visit freebabarahmad website for the link. Also, on Youtube watch “Life is One Big Road – Put Babar Ahmad on Trial in the UK.”

  • I don't pretend to understand politics or the BS behind it but surely if they're spending that much on the war, someone, somewhere, has to be making a tidy profit.

  • Innocent LIVES. Money is Nothing, PΞДCΞ & Ŀ☼√Ξ ☆☆☆☆☆

  • it is our lawful duty to occupy major cities, demonstrate non compliance and impede government officials, demand their arrest until the unlawful genocides have been stopped. THIS IS ACTUAL LAW. its called lawful rebellion

  • Very important vid. Tony Benn is a legend. Shared on Twitter.

  • enjoyuable video, thank you!

  • Where is the anger people? And i assure you, its not only the UK that is behaving this way!

  • I am wandering why the good British and Americans people don't get the street to protest the waste of their life and money and stop war profiteer getting richer....10 of millions people should protest in the street and demand the end of these non sense wars

  • if i were afghan, i would fight the usa and britain. without any doubt

  • 100,000 Nurses can save 10 Million Babies

  • Amazingly, what a stupid war

hope to finish as soon as possible

  • Support the series that warned US people

    Search For

    "BUSH OBAMA DESTROYED US ARMY"

  • in 1:36 min an A is missing: AFGH...NISTAN. maybe too late to change after rendering? well, not the biggest problem i guess, just a big A in a world, where governments don't listen to any "letter" of their volks...

  • It will cost less to drop a few nukes in Afghanistan so I think we should do that to end the war.

  • @ProjectVRD Whom ''we?'' huh? you narrow minded individual...How would you feel if you were captured by the pirates and I wrote stupid comments like: Kill the bastards? on a video done by people with humanitarian love; trying to get the government to negotiate your release? (you wouldn't, of course, feel angry because indeed you're a bastard!)

  • It will cost less to drop a few nukes in Afghanistan so I think we should do that to end the war.

  • "One of the gloriest countries in the world"??? Pfff....

  • @Igneshto one of the poorest, listen again.

  • @Igneshto one of the poorest, listen again.

  • @Igneshto one of the poorest, listen again.

  • @Igneshto one of the poorest

  • @Igneshto Glory isn't an adjective :P You can't make it in to a superlative. But I'm being pedantic. ;/

  • One more DAY of war in Afghanistan is too long. This video has some chilling figures and it needs to end.

Sadly, just as we took to the streets in 2003 to tell B.Liar we didn't want to go to war in Iraq, it's likely the government will ignore the will of the people this time too.

    I hope I'm wrong.

  • Its funny how "cost" is used as if civilians have it hard just because they want low mortgage and free healthcare really people need to just not give the fuck and join the army or marines and be a real fuckn man .

  • @usnavysss I'd say the pensioners who can't afford to be looked after, those with disabilities who have to wait months for their operations, the people who die because our emergency services can't cope all have it pretty hard.

  • @usnavysss I'm sorry I don't like killing or want to die. And I'm sorry I don't hate poor people and don't mind paying to help people worse off than me get basic rights like food and health care.

  • And they are making huge cuts in the NHS lol

    Is that sick ?

Or is it sick that the public still support the war by not tring to stop it en masse

Makes you wonder what the motives are

What is more improtant to teh UK gov than the NHS, and the welfare of its citizens . . .

  • time to invade??? pakistan i think cz it doesnt seem to end the hunger of americans

  • I live in the US and I completely agree with this. The war, whatever you want to call it, (War on Terror, War on Iraq, War on Afghanistan, War against Brown People (My favorite)) has been going on for FAR too long. But the US doesn't want to pull out because the Republicans are controlling the government right now, and they tend to like war. They are a war-like party. I personally don't like war, but when two countries can't decide on something, they send their own people to kill other people.

  • You can't end the war in Afghanistan unless every party involved agrees to stop fighting.

  • This needs to go viral! As soon as!

  • I wonder how much invading Libya will cost taxpayers It was estimated that to rebuild Libya back to pre war will cost about $200 Billion. Of course NATO countries are in there like scavengers looking for contracts just like Afghanistan and Iraq. Which Country is next I wonder?

  • @Shadowbear1955 Syria

  • @Agitpropist Your probably right then they might move on to Iran, Egypt, Lebanon and Well it is a long list. Must not forget Turkey either. Guaranteed they will continue to invade until they have taken over all of the Middle East. After they have all the oil maybe then they will be happy. Nope. Then they will turn on each other.

  • I commend Tony Benn and Brian Eno for their work, but chanting in Trafalgar Square will achieve nothing. We are ruled by sociopaths who take our money by force and use it to bribe their friends. They don’t care what you think (huge public outcry prior to Iraq invasion?). Protesting and voting just gives moral sanction to these ghouls. Switch off the TV and get out of the polling booth - morality starts at home in our personal lives, with our kids and partners.

  • This is why I hate politicians the rest of the fuckheads willing to pay sooo much money on a war which you cannot win!

  • tony blair disliked this..

  • I know what I'm doing October the 8th,

  • Great video. Citation for sources?

  • @DeadiestCatch google following: 'icasualties' 'iraqbodycount' and 'unknownnews + casualties' for a start, financial information available from parliament sources. Google is your friend :-)

  • I am getting bit tired of people taking about the cost of war, how money is wasted, thrown away at a war... That is NOT the case - that money ENDS UP LINING SOMEBODY ELSE'S POCKET. That's huge part of the problem. Certain sectors (arms trade) make BILLIONS OUT OF THESE WARS so state of perpetual war becomes desirable....

  • CHECK OUT G FAM LET IT BE AMAZING SONG

  • Isn't it insane that we AMERICANS have to get this info from the Brits?

Thanks, Tony Benn, for letting us Americans in on our (ultra-secretive) war. We don't get the full story, here.. not that I've seen.

And, I am not just talking CASH, either.

  • For something that does not stop at any numbers, may it be lives or money , there are horrendous effects on reality and matching lies. It has always been done this way.

  • Unemployment is 30% in England now .... do you think that cash could go to some better purpose? Remember when Bin Laden said he wanted to bankrupt the West ... hmmmm? Did the west get sucked in or what....!!!!

  • Pity that the british stop the war hasn't done a thing against NATO aggression on Libya, in fact STWC has actually supported the NATO ground force terrorists under the guise of 'Arab spring'. They are imperialist agents as are the Labour party who run stop the war.

  • why do people don't realize that if NATO forces didn't contain the taliban terrorists from capturing afghanistan & neighboring pakistan, the world situation wouldn't be same as it is now. there would be a taliban terrorists everywhere trying to islamize the world. despite the blow from NATO forces, the taliban is still aggressively operating. imagine if there was nobody to check them, how it would be.

  • stuart richardson doesnt get it arabs dont want any arab dying its their battle let gadaalfi kill all the traitors its not for the west to intervene if the people dont want help and agitate they accept consequences he described the losses as just one of those things............hes a disgrace to the movement...............he despises the black libyans.

  • @mdoofesh Please let's not muddy the waters of this inspirational message of peace (and common sense!) by bringing personal religious views and who's 'going to Hell' into it!

  • wrong wrong wrong : Tony Benn objected to ANY discussion within STWC (stop the war coalition) of a General Strike at the time of the anti-war protests in 2003......

This is merely feel good propaganda : this demonstration is pointless UNLESS it brings down the Government, and puts Tony Blair on Trial...

  • @djlookwood - It's more than propaganda if it helps stop this war one day earlier or save one life!

"This is merely feel good propaganda : this demonstration is pointless UNLESS it brings down the Government, and puts Tony Blair on Trial"

  • Excellent...see you all on the 8th

  • A collaboration between Tony Benn and Brain Eno-- I never expected to see/ hear that. Whatever the exact figures this war, like the others we are waging, needs to be stopped. We are not there to help.

  • Of course the UN figures in both cases may be wrong, and you are welcome to try to refute them, but presenting contrasting figures without citation seems to me to be irresponsible. For the record, i have grave doubts about the war, but we can’t have any kind of debate if each side takes liberties with the facts, as this video seems to.

  • Similarly the casualty figures contradict the UN estimate in a number of ways. The overall estimate exceeds the upper end of the UNAMA estimate for direct and indirect casualties by around 3,000+ (UNAMA calculate 17,611 - 37,208). Secondly the figures quoted for proportions of deaths caused by ISAF compared to anti-government forces (25% to 15% of the total, or 63% to 37% of direct casualties) are also wrong according to the UN, who estimate 6,215 - 9,007 (ISAF) and 7,276 - 8,826 (anti-gov).

  • Some of these claims seem somewhat inaccurate. For example the claim that 30% of global refugees are from Afghanistan. The UNHCR estimates that there are around 3million Afghan refugees, which would be only around 18% of the global total (or much less if internally displaced people were counted). Moreover since 2002 there has been net migration to Afghanistan of about 5 million people (returnees who fled prior to 2001). Not only are the figures wrong, but they are also misleadingly presented.

  • Superb video. It really gets the message across.

  • liked, favorited, and shared on facebook :D

  • @MASSIF101 Respect brother

  • more people need to see this

  • brilliant facts well made upload ,,,, I hope to be there ! Its time this stopped.
