  • I really do love that synth drum sound! It lifts the track thanks to Sly and Robbie's ingenious and this was at a time when reggae was most creative. At dances they just used love to 'haul and pull' up this track, which drove them into a frenzy.

  • @wisenatts - different era's all made their own statements at the time.

  • @wisenatts What's happening in the reggae music nowadays is recycle, recycle rhythms like this. Everything ends up sounding the same, also the originators of those rhythms never get the royalties because Jamaican copy write is one big joke. It's like eating the same food everyday eventually you will get bored of eating the same thing. Just my opinion but peace and blessing to the creative reggae artists both old and new - seen!

  • @wisenatts - a lot of reggae based on riddims only the cream will rise to the top whatever generation. No doubt about Sly n Robbie's pedigree, life was always great when you are young even me.

  • @123gogary Yes, you're right but stealing someone else's rhythm is not cool and making royalties from it. That's my argument and you like things all sounding identical then that's ok - each to their own! Why doesn't this happen in other music genres? Because there would be alot of people in court being sued form copy write infringement and theft. Peace out

  • THIS IS WHEN RAGGAE MUSIC WAS ROCKIN.......WISH THEY COME OUT WITH NEWER SONGS WITH OLD RIDDIMS......

  • @efollins - some the old riddims still exist but the melodies have changed and the rapping

  • Sting and The Police ripped this off and made: The Bed's Too Big Without You'. Anyone remember?
