  • Verizon please tell us which video chat app you are using in this test! I have a Thunderbolt by HTC and want a video chat app!

  • @pitis2flie I don't remember which chat app we used, it may have been Tango.

  • you can tell it was lagging at first and in between

  • how do we know they aren't using wifi?

  • Good job Gary

  • Check his channel guys He has a lot of other videos there. Very nice videos.

  • @Aleuli73 I did this in the hopes that it would shine a favorable light on FPV flying. First Person View(FPV) refers to a method of flying a radio controlled aircraft using a camera and video transmitter mounted on the aircraft. You control it using the video feed sent to goggles or a monitor. There are many positive uses for this technology, like aiding in Search and Rescue and helping to give real time low level aerial views to fire fighters, to name a few. Check out my channel to see more.

  • I did the flight for Verizon and I can tell you the video feed was fast enough to get it done. I had alot of fun doing the test, thanks for watching and posting comments, good and bad.

    Gary

  • Verizon to be honest this video is pretty pathetic. This does not prove anything on the network. Im not exactly sure here but it does not take much bandwidth to stream video. Do videos were a user downloads a video, apps, perhaps run a speedtest. I know speedtest doesn't really target the average joe but make something regarding the speed of the network. This video doesn't prove much.

  • And can you identify/release the video chat they were using???

  • C'mon he had like 2/3 frames per second and I bet it had at least half a second delay.

  • now try that with a Collective Pitch RC helicopter, not going to happen. quad copters basicly fly themselves.
