@ MsNairobi, i think at the moment he is in the best place possible, let him straighten the path for many kenyans as he tackles the crazy trend that has been in 'magical kenya' where people get rich overnight, not out lotteries?
I just saw Lumumba on CNN, he made me so proud to be kenyan...but I hate the way that Robin lady was using one finger and pointing at him like can corruption REALLY be wiped out..can it??? as LumuMba said.."We should not be cynical"

Kenyans are too caught up in words of the so called "educated". I am not impressed by these leaders who chronically talk in parables. The best communicator calls a spoon as spoon, not a small spade!
Going by James McGregor Burn's definition of transforming leadership, I would argue that Kenya essentially does not have such a leader. Such a leader engages with others "in such a way that leaders and followers raise one another to higher levels of motivation and morality". When you have rampant corruption and leaders who merely turn a blind eye to what they know to be immoral, these are NOT transforming leaders.
I want a Kenyan leader who will use their position of influence and knowledge to change the status quo that we sadly find ourselves in.
A Kenyan leader who will not LOCK OUT any part of the KENYAN creed through their perceived knowledge - one who will use their knowledge to the benefit of the country.
My original point was to all those that are quick to say PLO for "leader".. They need to think of what a leader means to them - PLO is probably an excellent advisor but not a LEADER....
Actions - that's all I want from our leaders - now a person we can all learn to emulate is Mr Humility himself - Hon. Paul Kagame - I'm sure you've seen his comments on FT, Nation and follow him in the media. This man stands for everything I advocate - Action, no mincing words, speaks to the common mwananchi level and on behalf of the common mwananchi and dedicates his life to helping the average Rwandese.
I want a Kenyan leader who emulates all that Kagame stands for!
Kenyans are jokers - no wonder we always elect the wrong people to office - now what role does an orator have in government - being a leader to over 30M people requires much more than nice words here and there! Don't devalue Kenyans!!!!
Stemu208 - another thing that frustrates me is lack of respect for one another. I have gone through your profile comments to other posts and you are rude. Lets respect each other - there was better language to use than what you have used.
About Kijana Wamalwa - perfect example of a leader that could have influenced the cause for HIV/AIDS, use of public office for personal gain etc but did he? NO - but I still agree with you, he was a good public speaker - is that what Kenyans need? NO.
'wacheniUshenzi" hutumiwa kuonya bali si kuadhibu. Wanasiasa(Raila na Kibaki na wengineo) nchini Kenya kutungiwa na kukaririwa shairi ambalo baada ya kila michororo miwili kibwagizo chake ni
Lumumba..... a warrior of justice n' truth, just like your "twin brother" Chamillionare, fightin' for the people, one usin' his rhymes, the other his position in society. (You two do look alike, if Only Chamilliore would drop the Du-rag, the grill n' Ice he got on)
my God PLO ni msee down to earth hata bano, rusha alicheza.hawa ni watu ambao ma youth ambao wana suffer waki struggle wanafaa ku envy.Jah love love kwa ma youth wote...
people do not have to be in government to make change. he can be instrumental being an advocate for the people. we need people outside of government who are smart and can speak thruth to power. people tend to get lost in government. we need a stronger well organise smart citizens whom the country respects to lead and advocate for change.
In promulgating your esoteric cogitations or articulating your superficial sentimentalities, and amicable philosophical or psychological observations, beware of platitudinous ponderosa. Let your conversational communications possess a compacted conciseness, a clarified comprehensibility, a coalescent cogency, and a concatenated consistency. Brrrrrrr... This sounds good. However, the last time I met PLO Lumumba, he was drunk in the United states. He must quit drinking if he wants to be president.
I am afraid that the very salient points raised by PLO ever since seem to miss many, some people being entertained by his eloquence while others hating his ethnicity! The Parliament of Kenya is not for people like PLO, until and unless there are more like-minded people in there...otherwise those thugs will crucify him. Advice to PLO: create a non-political forum to educate and liberate the masses from the chains of tribalism and ignorance. Bless you.
We keep people like these in the dark and then worship the ground of people who can't even make a speech without reading. I really hope Mr. Lumumba really means what he says cause for a minute there I exhaled in relief to see that people who think like that still exist.
