Thank you :-) I didn`t think to mention that there is a delay on the ignition so the engine doesn`t start under a great load,it works similar to the decmpressor on a start o matic using a solenoid and when 75% of total power is sensed across the charging circuit it releases the stop control to produce a spark. If you disconnect this it starts by flicking the flywheels. James.

I must say though it took some time to start for a wolseley, did you have it on lean choke all the time?
Impresive set up though, you won't see many electric start Wolseley's : )
