It's a venomous rear fanged colubrid called Arabian false cobra, it's scientific name is Malpolon moilensis, is more related to sand snakes (Psammophis) than cobras and althought it is venomous, it's venom is weak and can only cause pain and middle swelling on the affected area.
@Harley04 yes indeed I liked the video, and yeah, I know some stuff about snakes, even the ones that are very far away from my country like this one. Keep up the good work and be nice to snakes, as they in return will be nice to you.
I am open to information; please identify the type of snake for me then, a website would be good, or state your source for saying why this is not a snake relation of the Egyptian Cobra, other than your own opinion?
this is not easy. i am working with venomous snakes for years. i have a couple of cobras. the egythian cobra is naja haje. jut google some pics and you will see this is a totaly different snake.
there a lot of non venomous snakes in this area and i am not an expert on this issue.
Yeah. I saw video 2 where he went down his hidey hole.
I've only had a couple of run ins with snakes. Once I stood on one accidentally and I jumped straight up and forwards. Yes it was alive. I was wearing thongs (flip flops) at the time too.
It was at night time and I was walking down to the garage / laundry area.
Another time I was running through the bush and kicked one. The snake went flying up and forwards about 4 metres, landed and scurried off.

Blends in to the sand pretty well. Vicious looking thing.
You could see it smelling you to see if you were good for dinner

ha ha, what I didn't know when I filmed this video was that I was between him and his hidey hole which he disappeared into in video 2
