I just used this kit on my 10 year old X-5. Didn't follow the direction at first, because since the provided 4 series of sandpaper fit my orbital sander, i used a power tool to do the heavy sanding. Took about two hours for both lenses including the final polishing by hand. Final plastic looks almost as good as new, but MUCH better than before i started. Just driving at night will be ligher, brighter and safer. Loved this kit, and the great instructions.

Whats the approximate longevity of the restored headlights if someone decides to do it through you. Do they last more then a year??
