I'm generally pro-religion, but this is abuse of religion as much as abuse of the child. His parents are training him as a puppet. I'm generally pro-religion, but this is abuse of religion as much as abuse of the child. His parents are training him as a puppet. It's really perverse that so many adults want to be lectured to by a child of six. I suppose they would point that out first if he said anything controversial. They're really applauding discipline. I doubt his later life will provide wonderful evidence of how these beliefs make him into a wonderful human being.

*sigh*... They're not listening to a single thing the kid is saying. They've heard it all before, and agree with it. What they really are doing is celebrating. They're celebrating that their faith is so powerful a little kid (with a strangely squeaky voice) can believe in it so blindly, and so irrationally, that he can stand in front of them all and regurgitate already established facts. People like this make me embarrassed as a Christian sometimes.

I don't agree with religion. But I DO believe in intelligent design. Something did create us. But we're not gonna burn for eternity if we disagree with it. That is why America has the separation from the church and state. Religion is not child abuse. If someone wants there child to know what God they serve they can because America is freedom of religion. I am a christian and I have been in church all my life, if I wanted to preach a sermon and God gave me the word to do so, then I would. God can use anyone at any age.

Just like many of you felt like Christmas was magical when you were a child and santa clause really existed, Hell feels very much real to them...

well it's not really the religion now is it. it's the Adults who warp the children's minds. people warp their beliefs into what ever form is most pleasing to them. some people read the Quran or the bible and see nothing but good and live good lives because of it, while others see justification for war and intolerance. Religion can be used for good or evil, it depends on the reader's interpretation. if we get rid of religion, nothing is going to change, the evil is within us, not a book.

But however filling a kids head with lies which over time these lies become embedded into the child's head over the years and is very hard to get the truth through to them, the evidence for evolution is far beyond what most people know and if this isnt abuse then i dont know what is. You should do more reach (psychologically) and maybe you will learn.
