  • I am not slipping the clutch its in 4w low 1st gear. The blower engine is at 2400RPM.It doesn't use a PTO its a belt drive on the rear engine (pulleys)4 belts 84 inch I tighten them with a 12 volt linear drive cylinder on a belt tension pulley. The chute turn is done with a 12volt reversible wheel chair lift motor. The spout control is 12volt linear motor also, All available from Surplus Center

  • Best truck/blower combo I've seen!

  • finally a truck mounted snowblower with a bit of power every other one i have seen has been severly underpowered. good job!

  • Those old trucks usually are geared real low and a transfer case that cuts it in half again.

He could have it half way to the floor and still go that slow.

  • Awesome set-up!

Are you slipping the clutch to run that slow?

What rpm is the engine at?

Is the pto running at engine speed or running off the transfercase or something?

How much does that snowblower weigh?

What kind of belt(s) are you using? Do they slip ever?

Very cool rig and nice engineering!

  • Poowerful m37!!

  • Belt drive 3.90 pulley on top 15" on a 1/14" shaft yes its a PTO blower

  • Pretty slick there Mr. James. Being a gearhead myself, I am curious how you hooked the V4 up to the snowblower? Direct drive? Hydraulic drive? I imagine a gear reduction to get the V4's rpm's down to 540RPM since the blower is probably a 3 point hitch mount? Sure would appreciate an answer...
