(SPOILER) it was a sex offender who lived in the area, Reid's mom was present when a member of the neighborhood went vigilante and killed him, She went home and had Reid's dad burn her cloths so she wouldn't be found as an assecory to the fact, Reid saw his dad burning the cloths. Since Reid was only 4 the memory faded significantly despite his edetic memory. Thats how the false idea that his dad did it was created.

I noticed that 0:19 and 1:07 are both from Season 2 Episode 14 (The Big Game). Plus, there was that lecture Reid was attending while those clips were showing.... made me wonder if he was thinking of that case (we know he saw the inside of the house; he was with Morgan and Gideon at that scene). And he's very emotionally involved with the case in that episode, and the episode after.
