  • hearing all of the fans yell "SPEEEEEEEEED" With Rome just made my day xD

  • what i like about this is you can kinda tell that he aint singing it from the heart and trying to pass it off as his own that so many people do with covers. He is singing it like a fan with the fans.

  • sublime playing here in 5 hours.. fuck yeah

  • i know you guys are talking about sublime and all but i'v been there its pretty good

  • RIP Bradley, you crazy fool

  • Man thats my fav song! whatta good job!

  • Bradley himself would blaze up to this shit! fuckin tasty

  • Just saw these guys Jul 10th AT Red Rock in Colorado, fucking awesome.

    RIP BRAD

  • Bud rocks the fuck out of those drums

  • fuck these are comin to toronto on my fucking 19TH BIRTHDAY got my tickets yesterday wuddup

  • i agree with ya there mardigan16 really good drums and some of the best bass out there right now. I have been drumming since i was like 6 my dad opened for a couple big time rock groups like tom pettey, boston, and a bunch others and i always tried to play the old rock but my favorite style to play is sublime nice reaggea, skate.and punk long live SUBLIME!!!!!!!!!!

  • sick he is good

  • yes!!!!!

  • Dude Rome got skills man....gunna see them live as soon as they come to the Bay!!!!

  • @crisoner Fox Theatre Oakland!!

  • Sublime W/ Rome has a 6-date tour starting 4/20 in Los Angeles at the Palladium. Rome's guitar tone sounds eerily like Bradley's. The beginning of this he has Brad's growl in his voice like down pat.

  • i know hes not brad but he kinda sounds like him

they are keeping brads spirt and his songs alive and that is ok in my book if brad eric and rome dont play them for us who would

  • If I was Rome, I would probably choose from all the other billion guitar companies and not go with Ibanez. Brad liked Ibanez. pfft.

  • @DJBkrabi he only borrowed that guitar for the one show, he uses Cole Clark and fender mostly

  • @DJBkrabi I beg to differ. I have played numerous brands and always go back to Ibanez, mainly for the sustain & action. If you play the TOP OF THE LINE Ibanez models you would understand, don't base judgement on the base model $500-700 guitars. You can say the same about Fenders, Gibsons etc... if you play the $500-700 models.

  • @sinnaever i agree you get what you pay for!

  • @sinnaever

i love ibanez. my first one played was a s470. same color and everything Brad had. my guitar now is an Ibanez. '77 Les Paul Custom. i perfer Ibanez over Gibsons and Fenders.

  • @sinnaever I have an Acoustic Ibanez Concord witch is practically a Gibson model, but made in japan and it sounds better than any other acoustic i've ever touched (besides Martins).

  • holy crap i just noticed this was at a place close to me o,0

  • Is Sublime having any upcoming shows anytime soon????

  • I love that this is actually a honest comment. I sure hope so

  • Its not brad, but sublime was always about Eric's Bass rhythms anyway.

  • sounds pretty good i like the dude he sings good not brad but good... brad is irreplaceable hopefully they make some new music i'm kinda tired of listening to old song i know them all too well and long beach dub all stars and shortbus isn't the same... but a good band i do like with bud on the drums is delmar reno reminds me of early sublime fast paced as hell

  • saw him at smoke out.. looks like a college freshman in real life... and real humble... kid gots skills.

  • hell yea this is badass!! revives my faith in our culture.

  • yes! sublime is baaaaaack

  • I agree its like the new Alice in Chains, If Robert is good enough for them then its all good. And Rome is amazing thought not Brad, but if hes good enough to be playing with them....then hes good enough so ppl stop talking shit. IM ABOUT TO SEE THEM LIVE AT THE SMOKEOUT NIGGGAAS

  • i'm so excited for new shit, i miss brad, but the music is still alive

  • Bud, Eric and Rome have a Facebook group named "We Want Sublime!". Please join and support them. We'll be posting updates this week, and they will be exclusive to this group

  • if he is good enough for bud and eric he is good enough for me

  • hell yeah!

  • I was totally against this when I first found out, haha...but after watching him live with Eric and Bud he's kind of growing on me! I love Sublime!!

  • Sublime rocks, played many a party in my back yards, can't wait to hang with them again in a month or so at Smoke Fest, should be more good times. I support the new Rome thing, give them and him a break there will never be another Bradley but at least keep the tunes rolling.

  • I agree. they are gonna blow people's minds!

  • GREEN BASS ERIC!!

  • cant wait to see bud and eric up on stage at the smoke out

  • R I P BRADLEY

  • can you fuckin imagine how much moore good fuckin music we could rockin rite now if bradley wouldnt have pasted .. it makes me mad....

  • thats good!

  • guessing form the response of Troy(brad's wife) they might be dealing with the legalities and other issues everyone had, i'd give it another month or so before we hear anything solid.

  • great call, one month to the day they announce that sublime is playing the smoke out in october!

  • Bud and Eric are two of the three greatest fucking musicians ever

  • Hmmmm, not bad but I think he needs to get drunk and try again.

  • any update on sublime w/ rome's plans?

  • not recently. i feel like rthis concert was just an experiment to test the fans if they want them back or not. never really heard of anything other than the confermation of this concert.

  • I would drive anywhere in texas to go see them play. Come to houston or San antonio please!

  • do u guys know if Del mar's album has been released already?

    (del mar=bud's band)

  • Can you imagine how it would feel to stand up there? Sing all your favorite fuckin' songs? And play with the 2 legends...

  • Yah that would be awesome...but what if you were to screw up the song up....

  • STP!!!!!!!!!!! probably no. 4 for me as far as sublime songs go. my top 3 (and, believe it or not, i actually know a ton of non-mainstream sublime) are 1. santeria, 2. badfish and 3. what i got.

  • Yeah I hear the Greatest Hits Cd has a few good ones LOL

  • Yay it's eric and bud, fucking mint! Go rome you do alright bro.

  • Some kid told me Sublime was playing in Sparks and I laughed.....cant believe i missed this shit!! When's the next show?

  • what a blessing to see eric and bud on stage again! Come to New England and rock in Boston!

  • LOL@ "secret little tweaker place-pad that we hide"

  • I AM SO FUCKN EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! i am so gonna go to any show i can i have said for so many years i wish i could go to a show for sublime

  • damn, i was working about 5 minutes away from this place on that night someone had told me about it earlier :s

  • I dont think brad would mind. I think hes pretty damn good for there never ever being another brad nowell.

  • buds sik watch him go, hes redi 4 a reuinion

hes blaitantly sik of doing fuk all

  • bud is diiiirty on the drums look at him go

  • when and where is the next show?

  • no other shows are planned yet but hopefully they'll go on a full tour

  • YES

  • SUBLIME IS FUCKING BACK BABY!!!!! bud ripping the drums,.. this is awesome man a fucking dream come tru

  • sounds so sick ! :48 drops his stick, I'm glad to see it happens to the best of us.

  • wow, he actually even sounds like brad.

    long time fan, another yes.

  • Another vote "Yes" from a longtime Sublime fan. This guy Rome is great, nice voice, seems pretty modest about it all. Who knows what new material would eventually come out of them, but I (along with at least 20 friends) would cough up the dough to see a set just like what it looks like they played in this clip.

    Tour.

  • oh boy. a little weird to hear them doing the heroin songs again... but holy crap this is guy is good, modest and down to earth. for the love of god, tour.

because a taste of honey is worse than none at all...

  • haha badass analogy

  • tour please

  • SUBLIME LIVES

  • you have to tour

  • please tour haha

  • wow that is fuckin sweet, Rome sounds like brad, word for word like stand by your van

  • This Rome guy is the luckiest mafucker in the world! haha i hate him for that!! great shit tho

  • GREEN BASS ERIC !!

  • LOVE IT!!!!!

  • when the next show

  • this guy is good...thats true no one can replace brad... but he sounds like him alot

  • Brad or not, Sublime is back together. Holy crap. Just, holy crap. Please GOD let them tour!!!!

  • no kidding, id do next to anything to see them live

  • I like it, because his voice is great, and he's not even trying to replace Brad, and it works.

  • Ive seen them in every backyard party and warehouse they ever played in the lbc G

  • people have to realized that no one knew brad better than bud and eric. If they are up for it and thinks its awsome, so should you if your a fan. Rome is sick and without a doubt going to their concert.(if they have one)

  • puts chills down my spine everytime

  • i would of never thought i would see sublime ever.......

look at Pink Floyd they replaced there old vocalist and they made BAD ASS MATERIAL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pink Floys did it

    AC/DC did it

    it worked

  • PInk Floyd Nooo.. David Gilmour sang anyway on like half of the stuff before Waters was gone so please dont use them as an example cause its not a good one.. ACDC though is a good one

  • look guys, hes got HUGE balls trying to fill brads shoes and guess what? hes not bad, damnit hes good

they come to ny fuckin right ill be there

if Rome is good enough for eric and bud, he should be good enough for us, they wouldnt just stick any random guy in there if they didnt think he could perform the job admirably, i mean bradleys been dead for nearly 13 years now, they certainly didnt rush into it

  • well said dude!

  • Hey...I've played on that stage....sweet

  • I was so skeptical of this, but shit man that dude kicks. I just hope he can contribute the same creatively speaking =D

  • I think it was brad who said "good music is good music and that should be good enough" mega props to rome he is living every sublime fan's dream right know .

  • i think it sounds great and i even agree with everyone saying they aren't trying to make this kid "the new brad," but do you they have to call it sublime? i dunno that part feels kinda weird. great energy though, couldn't have picked a better guy to front the band.

  • this makes me happy... and sad...

  • rome does such a great job brad would proud

  • now whos gonna replace lou dog?

  • Rome will never replace Brad, but he sure does kick ass.

  • how do we find out where they're playing shows???

  • The crowd singing along to Sublime...man...it fills my soul with happiness.

  • it makes me happy but very confused

  • Rome.. Fuckkin quality mate! Sounds soo good.

Bud and Eric you did a stellar job finding this fella!

    Do work guys!

    RIP Brad

  • welcome back sublime. great choice on the singer!

  • Rome, you got my support bro. He's not trying to be anything he's not.. just a good singer that fucking LOVES Sublime. As long as that name keeps appearing and those tunes keep playing, tell me how Brad will EVER be forgotten.....not gonna happen, my friends. Awesome...

  • i fucking told everyone that it would not suck. and i was right.

  • thats AWESOME....sounds great and Rome makes a great addition to SUBLIME. Brad would approve!

    uMm FLEET!!!

  • I think its awesome.....the ultimate form of flattery to Brad....Jah Bless

  • I'm really diggin' this new singer. He's got huge shoes to fill.

    R.I.P Brad

  • Bradley once said something that made me...

  • Sahweeet !!!! Bout time ya'll....

    RIP Bradley

He would want them to do this IMO, so much love in their music. Why not keep the train rolling in memory of him ? I would like to be able to make people feel happy from the grave....

  • fuuuck YYAA! i knew this wuld happin fuck the haterz come to nyc

  • Good to see the guys playing together again.... Good Job Rome...

  • Live in Reno and went to the show..great event to be at. Not a hardcore Sublime fan but Rome sounded good I thought. Small venue (300 people) so sound quality was a bit weak. Glad I could be a part of it though.

  • Welcome to the best band Rome!!

    You rock!

  • All the luck in the world for Rome! He's doing a great job! We will always remember Brad, tho..

    Cheers from Brazil!

  • With the amount of pressure Rome probably felt during this show he did a great job.

  • long live sublime

  • i've got goosebumps

  • where is rome from?

  • northern cali

  • hes actually from michigan

  • ugh, no brother, he's not. did u just wikipedia rome or something lol, cuz that guy is about 40 years old im guessing. this kid is from california, go figure

  • i think he's probably in late twenties or thirties

  • he is 20 and he is from north cali

  • So why do they say he's a kid from NorCal?

  • Cause hes 20..... But its all good I'd never in a million years think to see another sublime cd. lets all just show a little faith... I mean no one does it like brad but at least we all get some new shit!!!!

  • I've been looking for news, audio, video, ANYTHING about this show for the past 24 hours. Thanks so much. Bradley will never be replaced but Rome sounds great!

  • Yeah does sound like him. Definantly did his live homework. I was pretty against having them use sublimes name and have this dude sing, but you can't help but appreciate watching this

  • I'll second that. It's the better than any other Sublime cover band out there.

  • I'll second that!

It's not Bradley, but pretty darn good

    for what's it worth.
